Located right off the 215 FWY off Murrieta Hot Springs exit in the 'Murrieta Town Center' shopping center, next to Ross with plenty of parking. Burlington has so much to offer at lowered prices. Here, you'll find everything from brand-name coats, clothing for the entire family, home goods, beauty accessories, shoes, handbags. The store is organized, but had a few empty shelves in the home goods area during my visit (perhaps I went before they stocked up). Service at the register was great. Walking into Burlington feels like walking into Ross or Marshalls... but on steroids. Bigger, louder, and about five levels more chaotic. Horribly run business that doesn't care about handicapped people. They don't have electric carts ! They couldn't care less about handicapped or disabled people. What if I was elderly? I pushed a basket around the store, only to find that they had poor selection of comforters. I walked all the way back to the front and was starting to leave and the Hispanic kid in the front said I can't take the basket outside. I saw baskets outside and I asked "what about those"? He laughed and couldn't give a damn about my hobbling. Told me that I can't take the basket outside. I imagine that it is because they don't want to pay someone to bring them in. Stephanie the assistant manager is very rude. I was waiting in a long line to purchase my suitcase and after I checked out and i was walking to the exit door I saw that the suitcase had a huge scratch on the back of it. So I went up to Stephanie and I asked her if I could do a quick exchange for a new one and she told me I would have to wait in the line all over again. I expressed to her that I had already waited in line initially when I checked and she saw me leaving the line. I asked her if she could do my exchange and she said no...Then I asked for a manager and thats when she told me she was the manager. I was really upset that the customer service was horrible especially by someone who calls themself an assistant manager. I ended up going home and got there in the morning the following day and did exchange. That was my only bad experience, all of the other staff are nice. read more

This place is fun to shop at in the shopping center off Alta Murrieta. It has quite a few stores and eateries so I can make an afternoon of just store hopping and then grabbing lunch. This store is always clean and really organized although everyone I've come with has mentioned a weird smell. We are always greeted at the front door, the lines get long but it usually moves along pretty quickly and they have a bunch of registers open. I love browsing their home decor department, you can always discover some amazing finds. Only issue I would say I have is it's a little bit on the pricier side. You could probably find a bunch of things cheaper at their neighboring stores, Marshall's or Ross. read more

I went into Christmas shop. Found three bags I liked. Two didn't have tags on them so I was going to take them to the front to get prices. Before I could even leave the bag section to continue shopping some prissy lady radioed to security to watch me. I'm not an idiot and I have good hearing. He then whips around and stares at me. It's so uncomfortable that I'm some sort of thief (at Burlington mind you ). I decided to end my shopping trip short and go somewhere else. Then they all proceeded to look at me like a crook until I explained what the situation was. They looked up the prices, I chose one and immediately left. I won't be back. And when they do something that is not right, we expect the managment team to do what every other citizen is held accountable for. my cashier stole my fiancés wallet and it's on the surveillance video but the management is not doing anything about it except for make excuses for their employees and the worst part about it was that we had withdrawn a large amount we'll say, for our new place that we were going to deposit into a new accounts. So I went into Burlington Coat Factory to buy some stuff I ended up spending $200 then they told me I couldn't take the cart out so I had to carry all my stuff to the car that's extremely inconvenient and BS I am partially disabled with back problems and now I'm carrying my stuff to my car and have to make a few trips the reason why this is so upsetting to me is it literally shows that they do not care about their customers well-being or convenience I will not be back because of this I've never bought enough stuff to need to take a cart to my car so I didn't know. Such BS. Corporate should be ashamed and change this rule imagine filling up your shopping cart and then having to make multiple trips back-and-forth from your car to put product in that you just paid for. I came here on a recommendation. I was not impressed at all. I usually cringe when I see ties packaged with dress shirts. Burlington Coat Factory takes this premise to an entirely new level. There were several displays dedicated to this Frankenstein-ish concept. SEVERAL. There were no rare gems here. All the offerings were pedestrian and definitely not worth it for the seasoned shopper. There was nothing that caught my eye. I saw an 85% off rack with a bunch of athletic gear. I thought, "OK maybe I'll pick some gym clothes up." But that didn't work. There were only 3 brands on the rack; Dunlop, Prince, and Ferrari (yes). There was absolutely nothing suitable for the gym on this rack. I spent about an hour rummaging through the entire men's section for anything worthwhile. All I came up with was some chapped hands and 3 pairs of dress socks. There weren't any decent coats here either--in a coat factory for God's sake??!!!! What a waste of time... read more

Frequent flyer This is one of my go-to stores for clothes, accessories, and occasionally house decor. Its conveniently located to my home and has a good variety of products for fair prices. What I love most about Burlington are the clearance sections. If you look at the clearance sections you can find some amazing deals. At least I always do. For example, a pin stripe pencil skirt for five dollars, a black kimono with flower detail at the bottom for eight dollars, and mickey mouse overalls for ten dollars. These are just some of my favorites I purchased here. They have several clearance racks to go thru so I usually always leave with more than I intended to buy. What I dont like is the change to the footware area. I have purchased some very nice heels, ballet flats, sandals, and a couple sneakers from here in the past but once they remolded this section Ive been striking out. I feel like its much more cluttered, and unorganized now so ive had difficulty really sorting through the shoes. read more

Their security guard needs to do better! Today I had an incident where another customer left the line than came back 5 mins later to cut everyone off and be back in the exact same spot she left from and when confronted by multiple people to go to the back of the line she refused to. Than eventually shoved me from behind! When the security showed up he didn't care what happen he didn't even bother listening to me when I was trying to explain I was assaulted and not the lady that cut everyone. He got hostile and told me to get out of line and that he was going to have me leave! That's when other bystanders came forward and told the security guard hes in the wrong and he's got the whole situation messed up. Even after I was assaulted he never told the customer who assaulted me to leave yet was hostile with me and told me to leave and get out of line. Eventually the security guard realized he was in the wrong and offered me a discount. I'm sorry but I don't need your fucking discount after I was assaulted and you did absolutely nothing to remove the other customer that assaulted me. it's absolutely unsafe to shop here knowing the security guard doesn't give a damn about the safety of other customers! I will be contacting Burlington headquarters about this situation to file a legal complaint against this location. Like I said stay away as they do not care about the safety of the shopping customers. read more

Over the years, I have visited a couple of other locations closer to my home, but none can compare to this one. It's humongous! A true mega warehouse in every sense of the word. I could have put on my running shoes and easily gotten in a workout without even bumping into anyone or anything. Because this store was so clean AND well organized, I was able to experience the pleasure of time warp shopping! I got in and out of there with a spiffy new wardrobe in record time. What a treat after walking out of that disaster they call Ross. The associate at the checkout was very cheery and personable and removed all those pesky security tags from the clothing items (I hate it when they forget and you try to wear it as an accessory). This place is HUGE (see pics)!!! It seems to go on for miles! Their shoe section was enormous! I bought a cute pair of black heels for $25. Each of their sections are pretty large but I was kind of confused with their signage. Activewear is different than casual wear. Activewear is what you wear to exercise. Their casual wear department was labelled activewear. Wrong! That didn't impress me. Their prices were okay but with THAT MUCH STUFF the store was disorganized and there was 'this' type of clothing in 'that' department. I don't have much patience for that. For my first time shopping here, you can find great deals but you really have to dig for them...or walk aimlessly around until you find it. We came here to find a bow tie and a dress shirt for the wedding and luckiy enough, we found something. As for bow ties, there wasn't much selection but we did luck out. We did find a cat carrier that was worth the price. At petco or petsmart a cat carrier is about $40-$100 but we got one here for only $25 and it works perfectly. Going down the clearance aisle is like walking in on the aftermath of a tornado ..everything was thrown all over the place, partially open, broken or missing. Hence clearance aisle. But if you have the patience and the creativity you can find some good finds but I wouldn't bet on getting the best of the best. read more

I have to chime in here about Burlington Coat Factory. The first few times I went into this store, I thought the selection was odd. Definitely some cheaper quality stuff in the mix, but priced very inexpensively. At or below the prices for the same items I had just seen at Ross next door. The shoe department at first glance, looked great! There are some pretty sexy shoes there and the prices are amazing. But on closer inspection, a lot are ... dare I say it? Not real leather! They look like gorgeous shoes, and I might buy them for a few special occasions, but I wouldn't expect them to last long ... but hey ... they are priced just that way too. When I say sexy shoes ... I'm not sure who is buying these in Murrieta .. but this is the biggest selection of stripper shoes I've ever around these parts! They also have a pretty extensive lingerie and swimwear section year round ( I think). The thing that finally won me over on this store is this: Last summer, I found the holy grail bathing suit at Macy's. I simply had to have it. I was about to actually shell out $90 for the thing, when I realized that it was $90 EACH PIECE! Oh, hell no. I was not paying $180 for a bathing suit. I waited a week for some holiday sale, went down with a 40% coupon, and every last piece of that PROFILE line at MACY's was GONE! For the next month, I couldn't even buy it online, even on eBay for $150. But, guess what? I found it at Burlington, that summer, for $16.99 each piece. THAT AUGUST. The exact pieces, exact sizes, and color I wanted. Not damaged, or faded. Not last season's design. They also happen to carry my favorite line of jeans, which are difficult to find. They are not all that expensive, about $50, but there is one particular cut and denim finish I like that everyone else in the world seems to snatch up first, before I get there. I have a good chance of finding them at Burlington for about 1/2 the retail price. They do have some inferior quality stuff in there, but mixed in are some real gems. Amazing bargains, if you know what you are looking for, or can recognize a fantastic deal when you see one! Also, I believe if you are wearing mostly quality stuff, you can get away with a well-chosen inexpensive accessory or piece of clothing... every now and then. The manager being the most rude and inconsiderate staff member thinks she's a bold person and picks and chooses who she feels like pushing around (customers too). I don't know what her name is but she makes her self seem busy in the clothes aisle far away from her team members. There is a rude worker name Breanna or something like that who has a personality issue as well. They are beyond personal and NOWHERE near professional. I went back to Burlington a month ago. I was very pleased to see a new layout and that the store was much cleaner and easily walked through etc. Browsing the racks I noticed that the damaged marked down items were actually in the markdowns section. (I was still not able to find more than 3 items in the unmentionables section in my size). In the shoe section I was able to go straight to kids and find a shoe that I liked. (I wear a5 to 5.5 in adult which is hard to find at most discount places). The checkout section is still a one line castle pen style. It it's much cleaner than before and the staff seems happier and more friendly. That being said it it's still a bit drab in colors etc. (Not the store or employees fault, it's a corporate thing.). I'm going back tho look for a few things and Will update our anything else had changed for the better. read more
