spicy CURRY PORK KATSU 카레돈까스JAP-CHAE BULGOGI 불고기
    Amy P.

I ordered the japchae, spicy pork katsu, and the bulgogi rice dish. The service was fast and efficient, and our food came out quickly. My favorite was definitely the spicy pork katsu. The curry had a rich, flavorful taste, and the katsu was perfectly crispy on the outside while staying tender and juicy on the inside. I would definitely come back just for this dish! The japchae was well-seasoned and packed with flavor, but it wasn't my personal favorite. The bulgogi rice dish was also delicious the beef was flavorful and paired really well with the rice. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely come back to try more of the menu.

Came here for dinner with my daughter and it's her second time, and it's my first time here. This place has the best braised beef soup. It's very good and delicious. We ordered the braised beef and it was very good and good portion as well. They bring out Kim chi, chili cucumber, sweet and sour daikon and macaroni salad as well and there isn't any charge, if you wanted more they can bring you it out more. Service here is very good. We had a waiter and he was running the ordering the cleaning the tables and bringing out food all by himself. Even tho it was busy but he still has a great smile, attentive and friendly as well.. Great job my waiter!!! Ambience here is alittle small but roomy. No t.v and no music. It's casual wear. It's absolutely my go-to definitely when I'm back in town.

This place is INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS! I was definitely wow'd by the flavor! I ordered chicken curry katsu and the rice cakes. Hands down, best katsu I've had in a very long time. I love that it comes out piping hot on the stone plate. Underneath the huge katsu is half rice and half curry. At first I didn't think there was any rice until I cut into the katsu. The portions are shareable! Could've easily fed 3-4 people. I went by myself and I would go by myself again and order more than 1 dish again. The banchan is also SO DELICIOUS & you can ask for refills.

Asian Fusion Korean food! A hide Gem with good size portions. The Pork cutlet with curry was massive, it didn't disappoint! Good flavor and huge portions. The bonchon was good and the bibimbop was great too, wish an egg was included instead of a separate item.

Visited on a Saturday evening and we were able to get seated right away for a party of 5. It was quite late too so we probably got lucky. Clean, cozy size restaurant. Staff were friendly and had a good amount of attentiveness. Everything we ordered was so good! I'm happy to find this Korean spot. Anything you order off the menu will be good. Portions are shareable but of course you can still enjoy them on your own. I will definitely come back!

I think I would give this place 3.5/5 but it won't let me do half stars. the service sat us quickly and was attentive. we did go at an off peak hour, so i'm not sure if there are waits normally. the garlic su yuk is one of the best i've ever tried! would 100% order this again. The mandu are good, but there's so many other things on this menu I want to try, I would probably choose something else to try next time. The mac and corn cheese was interesting in a good way. The thing that makes me a little sad is that I heard about this place because of their katsu. However, the chicken katsu was pretty dry. It was huge tho and I'm hoping that the pork one wouldn't be as dry.

    Tina N.

The service is okay, but it took a while for the food to come out. The portion was huge, but the meat was kind of dry.

SOOO GOOD!!! went here with my cousins and we only got two entres and one appetizer which filled us up and there were only 5 of us...thats how big their portions are everything was sooo good and came out relatively fast. only complaint i have is that the cheese corn mac had more cheese than corn and macaroni noodles... like a LOT if cheese but it was still good just wouldnt get again definitely would recommend getting the katsu curry and the beef belly!! they were so flavorful and good (btw there is rice on the bottom)

Food Order: Pork Katsu with Curry (1) Bibimbap with bulgogi add on (1) teok bokki (1) Highlights: - great ambiance, friendly staff! - good side dishes, generously given - good texture for the curry and food was not too spicy - gochujang with the bibimbap was amazing! Cons: - everything was a bit sweet - the pork katsu was a bit bland as well as the mac salad side dish - the pork katsu sort of peeled away from the meat because of the heat of the dish overall: - great service, big portions, would visit again! just beware if you want a spicer version of these dishes and a stronger taste. the katsu could have been a bit crisper as well, I think the bibimbap was done very well. the dishes are served in a stone plate keeping them hot through the meal

Man was I surprised by this one! Dawa Kitchen is a delicious spot nestled in the corner of the plaza. FOOD: The Katsu Curry is easily the best deal on the menu for sharing. For $25 you get a huge chicken katsu with curry pairing. The katsu was crispy, hot, and fresh when it came out. Very tasty! The curry itself is good, but doesn't have the same punch of flavor as other curry katsu places. Still good though! This dish could definitely feed 2 people. We also opted for the Ddeokbokki. This dish had great flavor and the rice cakes were cooked perfectly! Just as a heads up, if you are used to Ddeokbokki having extra's like fish cake and cheese, this does not come with it unless added. Overall, for value and flavor this is great! PARKING: Parking is tight in the complex and I would recommend getting there early just in case there's none available. WAIT/AMBIANCE: This place was packed when we arrived with a clear waitlist of 5+ parties. Try to get on the Yelp waitlist ahead of time to make sure you get seated in a timely manner. You can also look to make a reservation as that was also faster for me! Overall ambiance is good, and the restaurant was playing some Justin Bieber! DRINKS: For a casual dining place we opted to get soju and a beer as it was $10 per bottle. Also not too bad of a deal to pair with your meal! Overall would recommend this place! Delicious and great value!

    spicy chicken katsu curry

TLDR - food is good, portions are good, service is good, parking is a little tight if the mall is busy - would recommend. Came back and decided to try a couple other things. we tried the chicken katsu curry instead of the pork and we got the beef belly stone pot bowl. I would say the pork katsu is probably a better buy than the chicken. The breading on the chicken falls apart too easily and leads to an unpleasant eating experience. The beef belly stone pot rice is good but it really feels like I could make it at home. Overall a pleasant experience - the spicy curry actually has a decent kick to it so if you are a fan of spicy curry I would recommend.

    BIBIMBAP 비빔밥 ARMY RAMEN 부대라면
    Elizabeth S.

Yummy food and basically no wait everyone I go! The restaurant is fairly small, but not crowded. I usually get the bibimbap, mac and corn cheese, and the army ramen. Everything is delicious but two notes I'd like to add is that there is a $3 up charge to add bulgogi to the bibimbap. I'm happy to pay the charge but the amount is very small and you end up not tasting the meat throughout the dish. My second note is that there is hardly any service, even as a sit down restaurant. They only come by to have you order, bring your food, then your check. Anything you need in between you will have to walk to the kitchen to request. Aside from that, I am very satisfied with the general quality and taste of the food. I will be coming in soon to try the famous curry chicken katsu!

    Calvin C.

Dawa used to be so good when it first opened. Went on a Sunday afternoon and they were out of braised beef and the curry pork was so overcooked and super dry. We also ordered the tofu stew and the beef inside that was also dry. Skip this restaurant

And I am SO glad we did because everything about our experience was seriously a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was amazing. The gentleman at the front greeted us and escorted us to our table, and right away we felt welcomed and comfortable. Our server, Quang, was absolutely the sweetest! He was so friendly, outgoing, attentive, and helpful, especially when it came to giving us recommendations since it was our first time there. He had such a positive energy and really made our experience even better. And the FOOD!!! If I could give it 1,000/10, I seriously would. We tried the Ube Cloud, Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Garlic Parmesan Fries, Spicy Shrimp Wontons, Corn Ribs, Garlic Butter Prawns, and Filet Garlic Noodles, and honestly, there wasn't ONE thing we didn't enjoy. Everything was full of flavor and absolutely delicious. But what really stood out to us was that it wasn't just the food -- it was the entire experience. The staff, the atmosphere, the music, and just the overall vibe made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. The music they were playing was amazing too! My friend and I were enjoying ourselves, eating good food, listening to good music, and just having such a great time. The whole place honestly had such a warm, homey feeling to it. When we were leaving, the gentleman who had greeted and seated us earlier ended up having a whole conversation with my friend and me. He was so sweet and personable! He mentioned that they may be opening a location in Culver City, and I told him I really hope they do because that would be much closer to home for me. I was even joking with him that if they open one, they need to bring the whole staff from this location over there too because everyone here was THAT amazing. At the same time, even if there ends up being a location closer to me, I would honestly still make the drive back to this one. When you visit somewhere for the first time and have such a great experience, that location becomes special. You can visit the same restaurant somewhere else, but the people, atmosphere, and experience aren't necessarily going to feel the same. This location definitely left that kind of impression on us. I really hope this review reaches management because the staff here deserves the recognition. Everyone we interacted with was wonderful, and Quang especially took such great care of us. This was our first time at VOX Kitchen, but it DEFINITELY won't be our last. We're already talking about coming back and bringing our family and more of our friends so we can all enjoy it together. 10/10 food. 10/10 service. 10/10 atmosphere. 10/10 experience. You guys definitely gained some returning customers!

It was pretty calm for a weekday, but better safe than sorry. We were seated in a super comfy U-shaped booth with a beautiful view of the restaurant. Hospitality was amazing from the start. Our host was friendly. Our server was incredible. Our waters were never empty. Someone was always checking in without making us feel rushed. They primarily use QR code menus, but paper menus are available upon request. We ordered the Beef Carpaccio, Crab Roe Spaghetti, plus the Miso Picanha Steak. The Beef Carpaccio was a great start. The portion was generous, though I do wish the beef was sliced a little thinner. I loved the truffle aioli. The arugula with apple added some freshness that balanced everything out really well. The Crab Roe Spaghetti was probably my favorite. I wish the sauce was just a tad thicker, but once everything was mixed together, the noodles held onto it pretty well. They did NOT hold back on the crab either. There was crab in basically every bite with that seafood flavor coming through strong. It almost reminded me of lobster bisque in pasta form. Amazing. Yum. The Miso Picanha Steak was a little more mixed for me. The miso flavor came through nicely. It was also cooked perfectly medium rare. Unfortunately, the steak itself was pretty tough. I was really looking forward to that signature fat cap you get with picanha. It became a little bit of a struggle to chew after a while. BUT THE POTATOES??? I genuinely didn't know potatoes could taste that good. Easily some of the best potatoes I've ever had. The broccolini was cooked perfectly too. Whatever that orange sauce was on the plate, I need it in my fridge immediately. Between the food, beautiful space, plus incredible hospitality, INI absolutely lived up to the hype for me. Kei Concepts, please expand to San Diego. But for now, ill make the drive.

Cute, lively, but still casual enough to stop in for brunch or coffee. The workers here were super attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, but we narrowed it down to the Seafood Ceviche, Matcha Cloud Latte, Egg Coffee, plus the Beef Belly Banh Mi Chao. The Seafood Ceviche comes with scallops, shrimp, calamari, mango, coconut, Thai chili, plus shrimp chips. This was such a clean and bright bite with a little tropical flavor from the mango and coconut. There was a nice kick of spice too. They gave a good amount of seafood, so you weren't just eating toppings and sauce. Scoop everything onto one of those crispy shrimp chips... so good. The Matcha Cloud Latte was dangerously easy to drink. I genuinely think I could take down three of these. It's made with oat milk then topped with matcha cheese foam. It was creamy with such a vibrant green matcha flavor. Slightly sweeter than I normally prefer, but I'm sure you could ask for less sweetness. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, but the Egg Coffee surprised me. It's Vietnamese milk coffee topped with egg foam and cocoa powder. That cream was DELICIOUS. Last was the Beef Belly Banh Mi Chao. It comes with beef belly, black peppercorn sauce, sunny eggs, pork roll, pate, tomatoes. We added Chinese sausage since we were sharing, but honestly we didn't even need it. They give you a MOUNTAIN of beef belly. I loved being able to build each bite however I wanted with the bread, beef, egg, pate, plus everything else on the plate. Such a fun dish to share. After work, I was very hungry and in need of some good food but did not know what to eat. My friend suggested this place for their variety of dishes. They have garlic noodles, lomo saltado, pho and everything in between. I had the chicken lomo saltado and it was so delicious. Even though I felt like they could have added a bit more chicken, I was still happy with my food. The rice was really good as well, especially when mixed with the green sauce they give you. One thing I also really liked was the fries, as they were cooked to perfection, not too crispy but also not too soft. Service was great, quite cordial and welcoming. We stayed for a bit after the meal to chat and they did not rush us out or anything and let us take our time. If I am ever in bad need of a good late night meal then I will definitely come here.

BUSINESS PERMANENTLY CLOSING 6/28/26…read more Came here with some gals for afternoon tea. It's a cute little restaurant in Old Towne Orange. It's decorated really cute inside and out! Everything was creatively planned and decorated. It was also very clean and spacious inside and out. When you go in, there's a tea sampling station with the menus so you can see which tea you would like to order. Our server was really sweet, but she was the only one serving all of the tables, so she would come by every 10-20 minutes to check on us and some things we asked for didn't make it to the table. If they had more servers, customers would be happy with quicker service. The food and tea were delish! There were 6 of us so we shared a bunch of different teas. I really enjoyed the teas they had. The sweet and savory treats were really yummy! I really enjoyed them. Each person got 5 little savory treats and 4 sweet treats. I kind of wish we got one or two more for $45, but either way they were delicious! We had a great time and were sad to learn that the business will be permanently closing down tomorrow (6/28/26), I would have loved to continue going back!

We got a variety of dishes to try out, and overall it was just ok. The soup was good but was a little light on ingredients, the papaya salad was decent with a little kick, noodles didn't really have much truffle taste but was ok, green beans were crunchy and probably the best dish here, and the mango sticky rice was not ripe. Most of the mango pieces were hard / not sweet and proportion to the rice was off. The staff was friendly and the space is very open and welcoming. Not sure if I'd come back though unless I was craving the Asian fusion tea service.

I LOVE THIS PLACE…read more Don't let the simple decor fool you - the chicken here is hands down one of the best hole in the wall locations for chicken that I've been to. Unlike your typical rotisserie or fried chicken, this place roasts their chicken in a large clay pot and the marinade is definitely not something that you can find easily. The smell of the chicken is so inviting on its own but you won't be able to smell it outside of the restaurant - gather some confidence and open that door! We got 1 whole chicken, bot chien, crispy rice, and a side of dry noodles. All of the sides are great - I've tried at least 1 option every time I come back here but my favorite is the dry noodles and crispy rice. Their chicken pairs TOOO WELL with the pickled veggies and their special soy sauce. I like mixing a little salt, pepper and lime in mine to make it extra sour but honestly, the chicken is great even without the sauce. It's a small restaurant and flagging down servers is not difficult but I love that they will come to check in on you pretty often without you putting out any effort. I've been here when it was super busy and when it's a little more free, the servers are nice, friendly & really responsive Pro tip : get more than 1 soy sauce!! You DEFINITELY will not be sharing it!

4.5 !!!!!…read more I love love love loooooove Vietnamese food so much! It's become a top 3 cuisine for me! I either crave Spring rolls, Banh khot, Oxtail pho, egg rolls or egg noodle soup, viet wings and there's still many more things to try! One of my friends I met at personal training asked me out to lunch. We always eat well and this place was already on my list so I was game! Came in at a perfect time, right after a lunch rush. Sat down looked over the menu, pretty straightforward. Service was lovely, a little bit of language barrier but good nonetheless. We started with the Bot chien ( crispy rice cake with egg.) She asked if there was pork in the dish and they said no, she can't eat pork. It came out and it looked fantastic, looked like an omelet. I love eggy dishes! This was fantastic, definitely add a sauce like Sambal or Sriracha. We were off to a great start! But we came for the star of the show, Clay jar chicken with dry noodles!!! They set the bowls down and everything looked fantastic and smelled even better! A generous bowl of egg noodles, chicken and a side of broth in case you want to dip or just throw it in the bowl. We got to grubbin and it was instant love at first bite! The chicken was so tender and flavorful. We noticed these little cubes of tasty bits, we didn't know what they were because we didn't see it on the description, she already had a piece, we thought it was some sort of crispy bread crumb bits LOL. We asked the service and come to find out, it was crispy pork called Top Mo. We told them she can't have pork, they took the plate back. After a few minutes they came back. She asked is it a new dish or did you just pick them out. They picked them out. This is where the language barrier came into play. They didn't understand for a bit. I said she can't have pork because of her religion. That's when it clicked! Thank the Lord! Out came a fresh porkless new bowl and she could enjoy with me. They should've given me her previous bowl to go LOL I'm the pork Queen LOL. Overall a fantastic meal and I've been thinking about this meal for awhile. I need a reunion stat!!! Just so many good Vietnamese dishes in the area, it's hard to choose! I will be back!!!

Yelp Review Lola's…read moreby MFK was sooo good! We came hungry and definitely left happy lol. Everything we ordered was flavorful, portions were generous, and the presentation was so cute too! We tried a little bit of everything and honestly just kept eating The crispy chicharon was addicting, the big breakfast platter was perfect for sharing, and the omelet was huge and sooo good. The sizzling dish came out piping hot and was another favorite. And of course we had to get lumpia! Service was friendly and attentive, and I loved the atmosphere -- cute, casual, lively, and perfect for brunch or a family meal. Definitely a spot I'd come back to whenever we're in Anaheim.

Such a good and creative take on Filipino brunch. We've tried the birria chilaquiles, lumpia, adobo rice omelet, bangsilog, and a few other dishes throughout my visits. We also got the ube and calamansi drinks, which were both really good. The birria chilaquiles are packed with flavor, although I will say they LOAD them with sauce. That's really just personal preference though. The food has been consistently good every time I've come. Even the dishes I wouldn't normally think to order end up being good. It does get busy pretty quickly after they open, but it's worth the wait. I also really like the atmosphere here. Good music, nice ambiance, and the servers have always been friendly. Three visits in and they still haven't missed. I'll definitely keep coming back to try more of the menu. 9/10
