My favorite buffet in OC! I'm a sucker for fried foods, the Salt and Pepper Shrimp is fresh, juicy, and perfectly salty. The Green Beans are my favorite, just so delicious. So many options, so little tummy space! Service was great! The servers were attentive, always taking away plates and refilling waters. They ruined our day . My wife's birthday....! Very unprofessional and rude. The grill guy ignored me while no one he was there and when I asked the reason he told comeback in 3 min! Really? I asked for manager and they told no manager! They even did not apologize and my family and I left in the beginning of our food! I think that was the reason they charged and billed you before you dine in. So I had to be smarter and see they ask for money first and also nobody was in resturant! We could not eat even we were hungry as the food also in the beginning of dinner was not fresh....and also because of this behavior.... I really do not know why still in this business. I kept seeing Santa Buffet & Grill all over social media, so I had to check it out. For two people with drinks, we paid around $55--not bad at all. Parking was super easy too. Let's talk food: I came for the crab legs, but honestly, they were overly salty and watery almost like they were pumped with saline. That part was a letdown. But the Mongolian BBQ? Excellent. Cooked fresh on the spot. The sushi was also a pleasant surprise really fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is definitely loud, but I actually liked it! That just means you can talk loud, laugh, and enjoy yourself ha! They had a wide variety of desserts (some better than others), and the chow mein was solid. The salt and pepper crab needed more flavor, though. Customer service was beautiful our server was friendly and attentive. Do not eat here. There are bugs in the fruit and when we told the waitress she did not apologize or offer a refund-she just took the plate and walked away. The water is not clear instead it's brown tinted. Overall the food was not worth it, most tasted like it had been sitting out or old. Will not be coming back read more

Okay, I do not prefer to go to Chinese buffets because obviously, it's not the best quality of food and frankly, they tend to be gross. However, my Vietnamese mom LOVES going to them. Therefore, I looked one up and decided to come here with my mom and sister. They open at 11:30 am on Sundays and we arrived at 11:20 am. There was a long line out the door. That's a good sign, right? Yes! The place was clean, thank God, and people were eating large amounts of food so the turn over of food was fast!! So every time I got up it was a new batch of HOT and fresh food that I got to pick. The variety of food was decent for $25 per person. I think I ate a large amount of food and I didn't get grossed out or feel sick. The service was real nice. Plates were being cleared left and right and water being refilled. The only thing I didn't like was the ice cream area. It's self service and you scoop it yourself, so I didn't try it. Would I go here with my friends? No. Would I take my mom here again? I don't really like buffet but this one hit me on the spot with their fresh sashimi and crab legs. The seafood offerings particularly the shellfish are really flavorful. The servers are also helpful and very attentive. The price is reasonable and i will return for another occasion. We came Thursday evening but was disappointed to see hardly any of the food was warm nor fresh. My favorite basil clams were dry and shriveled, and the desserts were inedible. Never seen that before. Waitress stole my hat or she lied about it. We were sitting in a corner room and in the less than 5 minutes that I went to the restroom she cleaned up the table. I went to grab my hat and it was gone. I asked the waitress, the ONLY waitress who was sitting in there and was actively cleaning up the tables if she saw my hat. Without any eye contact she says "I see no hat" and walked away. No questions about what it looked like or even let me ask other staff if they've seen it. NOTHING. Ate here on a Monday night. Sushi was above average and didn't make my stomach hurt. Their chicken on a stick was really delicious by itself and didn't need sauce. Beef with broccoli and pepper steak had a pleasant taste and texture. Baked salmon was flavorful and moist. Everything I got at Santa tasted pretty good. Before CoVid19 this place used ot lively and packed for lunch, but this time only 3 tables with 6 diners. I asked to look over the food selection before deciding. Food selection was about the same as before CoVid with a big ham for carving, but sadly all dishes only had very small amount of food and they looked old and dry. Looked like the manager did not anticipate a lot of clients. It used to be my favorite place for lunch and dinner, with decent raw oyster, crabs and a tough well-done roast beef for carving. Sadly it has fallen into hard time with very few clients, likely due to lack of fresh food and higher prices compared to other Asian buffets in OC. I came early because I wanted to eat the food when it was freshly prepared. The food tasted okay. Better than Luxe buffet. The options were limited and typical. No crawfish for lunch. I'll post pictures of lunch food. My overall experience was good up until when I was about to leave. The waitress stopped me and asked where is her tip money. I told her I put tip money into the bill when I paid at the counter. She then went to verify if I paid tip or not. The host said Yes I paid tip.... I mean it's not like I'm a cheapskate or something, but tip is optional, not a requirement. There was nowhere on the price menu that tip must be paid. What if I don't give her tip? Since we had already paid upfront at the entrance, we didn't expect any further requests. Toward the end of our meal, a waitress placed fortune cookies on our table. When we got up to leave, she rushed over and demanded a tip. When I explained that I didn't have any cash, the atmosphere turned cold. The owner at the door glared at her, and she just started cleaning the table, completely ignoring us as if nothing had happened.
