Called in an order of Albondigas sound my wife is sick and 2 shredded beef enchiladas meal and 2 shedded beef Tacos. The soup was very tasty and different it had cabbage in it. The tacos were perfect good amount of beef lettuce to cheese ratio was excellent and their salsa has a great roasted flavor medium spice. The enchiladas were very tasty the sauce was different kinda thick and sort of like chocolate. The price is fair they only take cash. read more

I had to stop at Pollo Loco to buy chips. Worst $12 ever spent in my life. When I opened the soup, there were only two meatballs and the soup was burnt - no pun intended. The veggies were mushy. Practically all cabbage. She hesitated to give me the printed receipt when I asked for it. It's puzzling why the reviews are so low here! I've been coming here for years now, and food is always consistently delicious. There's the Burnt Tortilla Restaurant, and then next door is their take- out. We decided to get take-out for dinner and it was delicious!! I got one of my go-to's, the chicken flautas plate. It comes with beans, rice & guacamole on the side! It was hot and fresh. Even though we took it home, the flautas managed to still stay crispy! Guacamole was fresh. Burnt tortilla take out is always a good go to place for good tasting Mexican food. The prices are fair and competitive for the area and the workers are friendly. Everyone has good and bad days so if they're not that friendly one day, don't write them off, they'll be great the next time. Burnt tortilla has been deligently serving the residents of Gardena for the last 20+ years and have endured the pandemic, so they must be doing something right. Tonight I ordered a shredded beef super taco (superb) and a ground beef taco salad (delicious) both deliciously good. The cost was a tad over $20 and worth every penny. When I was younger my parents and I would often visit Burnt Tortilla in their original location (near Tozai plaza). I remember how i would love getting their Albondigas soup that would come with the combos. When Burnt Tortilla moved their location to the plaza where the Gardena 99 Ranch market is; we ate there as well. After that location closed; I didn't get to visit to their next location...until now. I've never forgot their delicious albondigas soup and I was so happy to finally order and have the soup again. The Burnt Tortilla To Go location is actually two doors down from their actual restaurant location. The prices here are slightly lower too (for example their large albondigas at the to-go location is about $7.66 but at the restaurant it is about $9). For the albondigas; they offer it a variety of sizes. I chose the large size. It was good for sharing as it had 6 meatballs in it. The 6 meatballs were pretty decent in size. There was also a fair amount of cabbage. The broth was very flavorful. It's been many since I first had their albondigas but am happy to say that the tasty soup has not changed. I'm thrilled to have been able to "re-discover" this place and when I'm in this area; I'd definitely love to try more of their dishes (as well as get my favorite Albondigas again). read more

Was there yesterday. I was order #251. Politely asked the worker what the difference between a tostada and the taco salad. She promptly held her hand up in order to cut me off from talking, which I thought was rather rude. Had my receipt, sat down, cleaned out my purse. In doing so, I inadvertently threw away my Burnt Tortilla receipt. My order was ready and the worker asked me for my receipt. I told her it was in the trash. She asked me what I ordered and I told her. She told me next time to keep my receipt. . There weren't any signs to say to keep my receipt and I hadn't walked away and come back to retrieve my order. I stayed in the entire time to wait for my food! I won't be going back on Mondays. I'll just wait to order from the restaurant side. read more

I miss the Mexican food in California. A couple of years ago I moved from California to the "freest state in the union" (insert sarcasm).. I recently visited home and went to Burnt Tortilla. I ordered the super chicken burrito and with the first bite, my eyes rolled to the back of my head. My tastebuds missed the authentic Mexican food that I've yet to find in Florida. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. My husband ordered the super chicken taco. The taco was so large he barely had room to eat his carne asada wet burrito. Can't wait to go back! read more

The food here is great, but the customer service can be quite rude at times. One time, I ordered and paid for my food, then went to McDonald's to grab something for my kids. After putting their food in the car, I realized I had dropped my receipt for the burnt tortilla in my car. When I returned and asked the lady who took my order if my food was ready, she asked for my receipt. I explained that I must have dropped it in my car, and she responded, "Next time, have your receipt, or you won't be able to get your food." It was just me and another gentleman in the restaurant at the time, but the way she said it felt like she was accusing me of trying to steal. Food was excellent as always. I was able to order at 11:00 am and the food was ready in 12 minutes. I originally looked at the hours for takeout and it stated 10:30. When I arrived at 10:50, I found out they were closed. I had to wait for the restaraunt to open up. They should update their Yelp site for takeout. read more

Very good food and huge portions... staff is okay . Due to covid 19 they only let a certain amount of people in the store at one time . So I would definitely advise you to call in your order Chicken nachos carne asada burrito and hard shell tacos are out go to food items . I have been coming here over 20 years and the food does not disappoint ever. The staff is not overly helpful or overly friendly but the food is the bomb. Maaaan, I'm so annoyed. I went by burnt tortilla today for lunch and the cashier/workers who pack your orders are NOT attentive whatsoever. I received my order and asked the work is everything in here? He stated confidently, yes. I get in my car and notice my bag of chips are missing. I tell the negligent worker and he says "oh" and grabs em. No sorry nothing. But it gets better! I get home excited to tear my taco salad up! I open the box and see a basic chicken salad. I ordered a shredded beef taco salad dude, wth! At this point I'm pretty upset. I call the store and voice my concerns and speak to junior. He was willing to remake my salad if I went down there but I didn't feel like driving back another 5 minutes just to get the salad. I'm hungry noooow! All in all, the service and attention to detail here is non-existent. It wasn't even busy either! So I can only imagine all the errors they make during busy hours. The workers there are so rude including berenice which is the cashier. They don't greet you as you approach them. The type of cheese they use for the quesadilla is nasty. The carne Asada is big dry and chunky. The big fat bald man is rude also. I will never come here again unless it's the restaurant next door.
