I was staying at a near by hotel and decided to stop in for food and a drink. I ended up sitting at the bar, and Katie was bartending. Super friendly, attentive, and overall great at her job and had wonderful recommendations. Truly good at her job. Overall I I ended up getting the chicken sandwich with a side of their tots. I couldn't even eat half, so definitely worth splitting with someone, or expect left overs. The tots were big and super crispy, Katie also recommended a sriracha aioli with them which I enjoyed. I made a visit here, to the Burntwood Tavern (North Olmsted, Ohio), for dinner during the end of summer. We made reservations here for a rather large party, and I later arrived with approximately 20 of my colleagues. Upon entry, I was immediately impressed with the ambience of the restaurant and thought it would be a wonderful place to have a date with someone special. This restaurant is classy, nicely decorated, and appeared to be well-enjoyed by several customers that were here. Our large party was seated at a long table in the back of the restaurant, just inside from the back patio. There were multiple waitresses that served our group throughout our meal, and they were all professional, friendly, and efficient. They were attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed when we needed it, including drink refills, condiments, napkins, and so forth. At the end of our meal, individual checks were provided for everyone within our large party with no problem whatsoever. For my meal, I ordered the fish & chips, and it was delicious. The fish was fresh cod that was beer-battered, and it was served with jalapeño tartar sauce that gave it a nice punch over the typical (bland) tartar sauce. My meal also included coleslaw, which was fresh and appeared to be homemade. The french fries that came along with my meal were just OK. For my drink, I ordered an ice cold Coke, which was refreshing. Overall, I had a nice experience at this restaurant, but I did have one disappointment while I was here. Unfortunately, the table arrangement had half of our party facing directly into the sunset. And, although this might seem like a wonderful view, it was annoyingly blinding for me (and others) to see anyone directly across the table, making social interaction far more difficult. It would have been nice if the staff could pull down window blinds (if they had them) so that those of us facing the sunset were not blinded by it. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience. But if I ever return, I will never sit in the back facing directly into the sunset. read more

Overall a really great experience. The only reason for the 1 star deduction is that they didn't offer us the patio right over the water, it seemed the side patio was the only option. Really bad experience. Started off with a 7 min wait to be greeted. Ordered a bourbon on the rocks, but didn't order the fruit fly that came in it or the others flying around our table. My salmon had little seasoning and looked like a lean cuisine. My wife ordered the chicken vodka sauce. The chicken was a simple fried cutlet without sauce or anything, and there was a side of penne in sauce. Our friend ordered jambalaya., it came with white rice. Shouldn't it be seasoned rice or yellow Spanish rice??? Desert may have been the most disappointing. We ordered the trio. The apple crostini was only apples, like taken from a can of apple pie filling!!! The cheesecake reminded us of the store bought cheesecake filling from Philadelphia cream cheese. Again, no crust, just a sad strawberry alone on top. The chocolate cake was also very average. Server was decent. I do not recommend. read more

I came in during the late lunch hour and there were probably about 5 people in the restaurant. The employees that saw me continued to do whatever they were doing and even walked past me. I grabbed my own menu on the host stand and finally a server came to take my to-go order. I ordered the steak frites medium well. When I got back to the room, of course it wasn't medium well. It was overcooked. I could've gone back and ask them to remake it, but I sucked it up and ate it cause I was hungry. And I really didn't want to deal with the customer service there. The best thing from this experience was probably the fries, which do not take much effort to throw in the fryer and take out. I would not willingly come back to this place nor would I recommend it to anyone. It wasn't busy at all, so they really had no excuse to leave me standing there or mess up a meal order. I went for lunch at the Burntwood in North Olmsted January 22,2026 at 11am with five friends. I ordered the chicken ranch & honey slammers & ate two of them. I told the waiter that the third one had along hair in the sandwich. He apologized and brought me another one. I told him this was buffalo chicken not ranch & honey. He took that sandwich back & brought the same sandwich back saying the cook said it is the same as the other two I had. He asked me if I wanted it. I said no & he still charged us for it. Both the ower and the manager have apologized. The people involved will be talked to. My meal is taken off the bill and I am getting a gift card too. I enjoyed my meal here this past Monday. I walked over from the hotel looking to grab a bite to eat for dinner and was lucky enough to catch their happy hour specials. All appetizers on the HH menu are $8. I decided to go with the chicken sliders and they were amazing. I'm not a fan of spicy food so I opted to get them without the hot sauce. They made the modification with no issue. You get three sliders per order and they're pretty big in size. They were served hot and were absolutely delicious. I sat in the bar area and love how they can lift up the doors so you get to feel the outside air. Overall very pleased with my visit here. read more

New menu but doesn't mean better. I'll review the things I tried... Pretzel- pretty good but not enough salt Calamari- meh- breading was tasty but actual seafood was very chewy. No dipping sauce at all Jambalaya- always a favorite of mine and I like to try it everywhere. This was by far the worst I've had. 2 small pcs of andouille, barely any chicken, tiny shrimp, loaded with rice - flavor was non existent. Can't imagine many things on the menu that can be worse Chicken tacos- chicken was smoked- very smoked. Like a guy who got a stick burner and was using it for the first time, the chicken was overly smoked. Cole slaw on the tacos was good but rest was below mediocre Chicken avocado wrap- to be fair, I only had this 2 days later as my wives take home leftovers. She wasn't crazy about it then and I wasn't now either. Good service, terrible food. The only good thing that we ate with our meal was the pretzel. We ordered a smash burger, the meat was so overcooked that there was not a single drop of juiciness, not to mention they forgot the sauce. Chicken salad was drenched in dressing, so much so that it was gross and on top of that, they used pulled rotisserie chicken and whoever pulled it left pieces of skin and bone. Kids had noodles that were not cooked at all. You could literally chew on them like gum. I cannot recommend this place, it has potential but huge issues with food quality and preparation. After shopping at Dick's North Olmsted, I stopped for just a quick drink and a bite. I hit a Happy Hour!! Ordered a nice cold draft beer (Great Lakes Dort.) and I had heard about their Short Rib Poutine Tots. It was all perfect. Draft was cold and hit the spot. The tots, oh the tots!! A next level of Poutine!!!! I first had Poutine back in 1989, while visiting Quebec. The original Poutine was very simple - French fries topped with cheese curd and then hot brown gravy to finish. Burntwood's version uses their homemade tots, cheese curds, with shreds of short rib meat and the beef gravy. This dish was very filling. I left content. I love this place!!! read more

We LOVE to come for the Happy Hour ( here, Crocker & the RR locations too). The cocktail & food deals are great (martini anyone). The tavern tots are life changing. Please, please, I beg of you stop using the biscuit for the buffalo chicken sliders, they cannot be that big of a cost savings for the utter mess they make of the experience. The subpar bread vessel cannot hold the chicken deliciousness together appropriately, respectfully, we ask you to go back to the regular slider bun. Not much, booked a reservation a week ago was seated in the covered patio. When asked to be reseated was told all tables were reserved. As we only had our babysitter for two hours we stayed. My daughter and I celebrated her birthday at Burntwood Tavern. It was our second time at this restaurant. I would have gone much more, but I forgot the kind of hidden place it sits on Great Northrn Boulevard, and I could not find it again while driving by. Our first visit was incredible and the Manager, Chris, was absolutely exceptional. He comped most of our food because our server was new and was learning. That was not expected or even considered by us, but deeply appreciated. The food was excellent, notwithstanding our wait. We had such a wonderful dining experience, the appetizer was awesome. It was a specialty deviled egg plate, hardboiled and so appeasing to the eye but more so to the palate. It had great seasoning, and also hade tasty bacon on the side. I would not have ordered it, myself, but it was her birthday, so I agreed to try it. I would order it again for sure. Our dinner selctions were also great. I had the Fresh Rainbow Trout fish with rice and vegies and a specialty salad with it. Absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered the Shrimp Tacos, which were exceptional. She had one of my fish slices, three generous pieces, and I had one of her tacos. I can't wait to go back. As we were leaving, our server, Brittany, was also excellent and seasoned in her job at the restaurant. Erica remembered the manager from our first visit and Brittany, went to tell him that we were asking about him. He came out, and we had the most excellent conversation cathing up. Coincidentally, I think he said that was his second day back, as he had left the extablishment and returned. Glad that Brentwood Tavern realized their mistake in even letting him leave. This place is the best place, bar none, and while all my favorites in the Great Northern Mall area are good and better, this restaurant blows all the others out of the water. Overall a good experience. It was very busy for a Saturday afternoon, but food still arrived pretty fast and was fresh. Our server wasn't around often, and a lot of the "extras" were missing (sauces, lemon, etc). The portions were pretty large, lots of left overs. We sat on the covered patio and the sun was almost unbearable, but again, it was a busy day and we were happy to be sat.
