    C2. Spicy Chicken Cold Noodle
    Sylvia T.

Was craving something fast and cheap nearby and found this gem of a restaurant super close by. I really liked this. The noodles were bouncy and chewy and the chili oil was just the right amount of spicy and oily. There was a generous helping of chicken and cucumbers + green onions as well. It was good especially when I added a little peanut butter. Inside there is seating and service is pretty fast. Super easy to order they have like 10 diff classic Chinese noodle dishes and I would love to come back and try other ones. Portion sizes were big and it's so cheap!! Love it

Absolutely delicious and the best comfort food in the area to have on a cold day. I'm speechless. I went two days in a row to get the beef spicy noodle soup. I added fried egg the second day. Absolutely in love with the dish. The staff is super efficient and nice. Will keep coming back!

Enjoyed the spicy chicken dry noodles. Glad to see non-soup options given my record of shirt damage. The medium spice level had plenty of heat even before adding chili oil. This is top-tier in flavor, value and convenience.

I stumbled across this local Asian takeout gem near work and had to try it out. I went with the pork intestine rice noodles. The noodles were perfectly bouncy and springy! I asked for it extra spicy, it could've been more spicy! Also ordered the wontons in chili oil--absolutely delicious. I had my eye on the pig's feet too, but they were sold out. :( Overall, it was solid with decent prices--definitely coming back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing hole in the wall spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Authentic Chinese cuisine. Limited menu. Noodles and a few vegetables/sides. Soup or dry fried. Everyone loved it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small eat-in space or popular takeout spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Service was quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store is small but enough to sit a few customer, no fancy decor but good tasting food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Got sesame cold noodle, dry beef rice noodle and beef tongue. All of them tasted wonderful. Just the noodle for the dry beef was a little too soft...not soggy but getting close there. Price is very reasonable.

My favorite local hole in the wall noodle shop. Extremely affordable, authentic, and tasty for midtown east. This is definitely one of my go-to's whenever I'm craving a quick lunch or dinner. Each dish comes with a generous serving of protein and vegetables. The dry dishes are quite flavorful, especially if you get the cold spicy chicken noodles. I usually do this during the summers. Their soup options are also delicious for a cold winter day. I love doing egg noodles for their dry options (because it absorbs the flavor way better) and rice noodles for the soup options (since it's just more fun to slurp). Great spot to come year round and if you're looking for authentic Chinese noodles in the area.

The food, service- awesome . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Authentic, casual[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Celebrated Chinese New Year here with my good friend.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She always told me about the original location. She ordered her favorite- cold noodles with spicy chicken. I had cold sesame noodles. Highly recommend!!

It only took 6 minutes from when I ordered, to when my food was delivered...piping hot!

If you work/live near this restaurant and you're not ordering food from them, you're crazy. Granted, they're pretty close to my office building but the prompt service is amazing! I submitted my order via the Yelp app, at 1308, and my food was delivered by 1314. That's six minutes, y'all! The food came piping hot and so very flavorful! I love a good bowl of rich soup, in just about all forms, no matter the season. I was very happy with my lunch. It was the perfect spicy broth to help cure a slight hangover. Broth Wonton (extra spicy) - I ordered this soup with an amped up heat lever, added extra rice noodles and chicken. The broth is very rich. It is packed with a lot little wontons and the serving of extra chicken is a nice portion size. There was enough of everything to make two meals out of my food. The soup was not as spicy as I would have liked, but I was able to work with it. I would definitely order again. This would be a nice and easy meal to order and take home for the family. I have my eye on a few of their other dishes that I would love to try, especially if the turnaround time from order to delivery is as fast as it was today. Banger, for sure!

A great little lunch spot in midtown east to pick up some delicious and authentic northern Chinese food. They offer a variety of noodle dishes as well as appetizers. I tried the sesame noodles and spicy wontons and they were both excellent. Prices are very reasonable and service is quick.

delicious! the food came out super quickly. you order at the counter and seat yourself. there was no wait at all, we were the only ones in the restaurant. this is definitely an underrated hidden gem. i got the dry noodles with beef and asked for no spice, but it was still somewhat spicy to me as i have a low spice tolerance. i would recommend getting a side of the cucumber salad with your dish. it's very refreshing and has a nice crunch to it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Hole in the wall authentic Chinese noodle shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]You know it's good when the chairs, utensils, and tables are all mismatched.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Quick service and a good meal! $13 for a bowl of beef noodles, can't get there anywhere else in Manhattan unless it's Chinatown. They do a bunch of delivery orders too in case you're not in the area!

I don't know what the rave is about... the soup tastes like it's got a ton of MSG in it, there were like 5 tiny pieces of meat in the soup, and I was so thirsty after eating here. The most terrifying thing is this place has no AC. It's not a problem in the winter, but when I went it was boiling hot in there, and they only had an overhead fan. I cannot imagine ever going here again since it's getting warmer and warmer. There were also no Chinese style soup spoons, which should be a nobrainer for a place that serves Chinese noodles.

The beef soup is clear and light and the noodles have a delightful texture, with a slight chew and good bounce. There's a good portion of braised beef as well. Tender but a bit fatty for my taste, but given the portion it's not going to kill you. Lamb burger ended up as overkill and will be consumed as leftovers but a quick sampling let me know that it's gamey and fatty with strong notes of cumin. Not a bad thing, but something to note for people that might not generally enjoy lamb or cumin. Black pepper beef rice bowl was solid too. Spice wise, you can calibrate accordingly but I'd recommended at least their regular spice level. Decent amount of tenderized but still chewy beef. Both dishes came with a salad of celery, carrot, cucumber, peanuts and seaweed strips in a light sauce. Couldn't quite figure out the sauce but it was lightly tart and refreshing. Space is clean and modern. Neutral wood, well lit. Service is friendly enough. If you dine in, you order at the kiosk and they'll deliver to your table. We had leftovers that they graciously packed up. Solid choice. I hope they stick around as they do bring a different cuisine to the area.

OMG-I just enjoyed one of the most delicious and flavorful Ahi Tuna Poke Bowls EVER!!! Run, don't…read morewalk to try this! It was so delicious. See my photos. The Ahi Tuna was the perfect and proper color it should be. The flavors were SPECTACULAR-WONDERFUL!!! NOTE: WAGAMAMA has added to their menu, since my last visit, so you now have a RAMEN SELECTION, and other yummy additions. I was too full from my spectacular Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl to try the Korean bbq Chicken Wings ($8.95) but, I will definitely be back to try them!! I'll post menu photos so you have an idea of the delicious food choices. (April 2026) My very first delicious bite of Ahi Tuna had a heavenly garlic flavor, it was wonderful, and the sweet green seaweed with rice only added to the wonderfulness. Vertical slices of cucumber, onion and scallion, also add deliciously to my wonderful Poke Bowl. Toasted sesame seeds, too. SIMPLY MARVELOUS!!! Remember to be sure to mix the poke bowl rice as you eat, so that you mix the rice with the yummy sauce that may accumulate at the bottom of the poke bowl. I usually eat a little while, THEN, mix the rice. This was so good, I had to eat, eat, eat, before I could stop to mix. LOL. That sweet green seaweed was so yummy!! A lovely mix of flavors...the garlic, the sweetness....I LOVED IT ALL SO MUCH!!!! When was the last time you enjoyed a dish so very much that you felt like standing up in the restaurant and telling everyone: THIS IS SOOO DELICIOUS!!!! Well, I felt like that, but I didn't stand up and tell everyone, but I did tell the manager, who happen to come to the table to ask how everything was. And I let him know how much I was enjoying the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. He explained why and how the tuna was so flavorful. We had a delightful brief foodie chat. What a joy!! The service is very nice here. I like the atmosphere too. And the music, which is cool; it does not interfere with thinking, or having a conversation. I really like it here . The women's rest room was very nice, and clean, with a Dyson Hand Dryer, so no paper towels on the floor. Yay! Helping our environment, too!! And I like the black and white wall paper, too. See my photos My last visit I enjoyed the Pad Thai, and the same non-alcoholic beverage, " Asian Mint Limeade", from the MINDFUL DRINKS area on the beverage menu. ($9.50) (April 2026). A nice treat! It does have a light carbonation (bubbles). This visit my delicious meal was from the BOWLS SECTION of the food menu, it was the AHI TUNA POKE BOWL ($17.95) (April 2026) With warm, and hot weather on the way, I know I will be enjoying this AHI TUNA POKE BOWL again...and again! If you love good food, good service, and a very cool environment, put this location of WAGAMAMA on your list ! (East side) LOCATED On THIRD AVE, at East 39th Street. There is OUTDOOR SEATING, too, with red umbrellas. See my photos. Enjoy yourself here. Totally delightful. There are several locations in Manhattan. I did not know that. So, the one I have dined at is ON THIRD AVENUE, at EAST 39th Street. Look for the Red Umbrellas outside, at the corner of East 39th Street and Third Avenue. Enjoy!!!

I would rate this a 4.5 instead of a 4 but Yelp doesn't do half ratings lol…read more Yesterday, I was around the neighborhood and noticed Wagamama while wanting lunch. I remembered i liked my experience going to one in London in 2024 and decided to go. I love how attentive the wait staff are, a little too attentive. A waitress, she had long hair and a nose ring, approached me when I was just glancing her way during eating. I didn't need anything, but I appreciate the favor. That same waitress gave me my receipt too early like she wanted me to leave ASAP. This was right before I asked to look at the desserts after I finished my meal. A "Would you like some dessert?" would have be appreciated. Cedrick, my principal waiter, was phenomenal. He decided to take care of me after no one was at the hosting desk for 5 minutes after I arrived. I had the chicken potsticker ramen and it was delicious! The potsticker was seasoned very well: my favorite part. To drink, I had the Asian Arnold Palmer and it was a cute drink! Only downside is the sweetness was not even distributed through the drink, even after I mixed the drink. Even though I had an issue with the service, I saw how caring they were (he looked like a manager now) to a family that came after me with organizing their seats and getting a baby chair. I just wished they gave me the same respect instead of rushing me out the door.
