Tacos Plate 5 Chicken Flautas (Flour Tortilla)

We went Thursday evening around 7pm, everything came out hot however my Al pastor tacos were very dry as the corn tortillas and flavors were not palatable. The fried 5 chicken tacos / Taquitos were undercooked the wrap was gummy because the oil they were cooked in was old. I pulled apart the rolls and the boiled chicken breast inside had no flavor and was very very dry hard in-fact and rolled way too tight. The rice and beans served with the meal were not from scratch and nothing special. Also had a chicken quesadilla again the chicken was very dry and regular American cheese and store bought tortillas, the only salsa offered is a green tomatillo salsa and nothing special. The girl behind the counter was very nice and helpful. The ambiance does not in courage for guests to sit and stay with storage clutter, it is a small dining area crowded with tables only 6 or 8 tables, the only 1 small AC was not working so it was hot and the only fan I seen was in the kitchen, the restroom was clean and well stocked.

    Cali California Burrito

Being from San Diego we were excited to try this place but definitely was underwhelming. The steak was chewy and the rolled tacos didn't have much flavor. Only had green sauce and no guacamole sauce. We are used to tons of meat, cheese, salsa options and guacamole sauce. This is not what California Mexican food is. Service was fine. Piano music inside.

    Huge burrito!

I would say it is more of a 3.5 stars. The burritos are HUGE and come with chips and salsa. Price ranges from around $10-$14 for the burritos. We ordered two burritos -1. California - steak burrito with fries, guacamole, sour cream , cheese and pico. 2. Grilled Chicken Burrito- chicken, garlic rice, beans, pico, and sour cream. The Grilled Chicken burrito was more flavorful than the Grilled California burrito. If you want a more traditional burrito go with the Grilled Chicken. The California wasn't bad but I felt like it was missing rice and the fries were good but rice would have been better. The cashier was friendly and genuinely helpful. There were a few misses. 1. Some of the chicken was hard/rubbery in the grilled chicken burrito. 2. They asked if I wanted red or green salsa so I said one of each since we had two burritos. They charged me an extra $1 without notifying me. I wish he had said, "Oh that's extra do you want it?" 3. The ice doesn't work in the ice machine so you have to get it from the cashier. 4. The vibe of the sitting area is clean, but a little sad and empty. I think it is more a of a take out place.

California Burrito - ask for a knife

One of the things I miss about CA - Cali Mexican food!I was so excited when I stumbled upon this place. They had a drive thru option and cashier was super friendly. Menu had a lot of options and I ordered the California burrito of course. I received my giant little baby with mild and hot salsa which also came with a side of chips. I wish the gave me a knife to cut into this bad boy though. I dug in and my taste buds were deeply disappointed sigh. Unfortunately it was not very flavorful. The tortilla was spot on, but the meat tasted like no seasoning. The salsas also lacked heat and flavor. This is a miss for me.

The service was decent overall. I ordered the carne asada burrito at Burrito District along with a mango agua fresca. The burrito was alright, though I wasn't a fan of the green sauce. Overall, the food was just okay, but it's still a solid option if you're looking for a quick bite.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a fight tonight: Texas vs California. In the blue corner the California burrito big, flashy, full of grilled steak (or something pretending to be steak), fries, guac, pico, shredded cheese, and sour cream. In the red corner: my Texas taste buds, undefeated and hungry. Round one let's get it on! One bite in, and it's clear California is in trouble. The steak had no seasoning, no flavor, swinging wildly at nothing while my taste buds were left in shock and laughing. The fries? Just sitting there like ring girls just there for show. Guac and pico tried to rally, but even they looked embarrassed, like the referee had to step in and say, "Come on, show me something!" Then I hear it a voice in my head: "Rik throw in the towel!" Round two never happened. One bite, one round, and Texas walks away the undisputed champion. This burrito went down faster than Jake Paul trying to land a punch on Anthony KO'd before it even had a chance to swing. California's big burrito hype? I'll be back for the rematch the breakfast looked like a contender they might redeem them, but lunch? Sorry, California just like Jake, you're still on the mat. And my stomach? Yeah, it might be heading to the emergency room just like Jake Paul.

    Meaty Quesadilla

The staff were nice, the restrooms were clean, and they have a nice selection. However, don't be fooled by the photos. My boyfriend and I thought the food was pretty disgusting. We tried the surf and turf nachos and the meaty quesadillas. We both ate less than half of our meals. The nachos have game day quality cheese and some sauce that I wasn't familiar with. I really tried to power through them, but couldn't. The quesadilla was so greasy he got an instant tummy ache. If you still decided to try this place. I'd get a burrito.

Everything came out very fast and it was more food than I expected, and the taste was definitely worth the drive. I will be back again.

The Pico de Colibrí was the perfect starter--bright, fresh, with just the right balance of sweet corn, cilantro crema, and cotija cheese. The Costillas de Res con Frijoles Arrieros were incredibly tender and packed with rich, savory flavor, and the hearty black bean stew paired perfectly. The Filete de Pescado Campirana was another standout--the sea bass was flaky and moist, and the tomatillo, serrano, and epazote gave it a delicious, authentic flavor without overpowering the fish. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and every bite was outstanding. We didn't have a single dish that disappointed us. We'll definitely be back!

Man was it great. We had the Pico appetizer, Jamaica for drinks, the green Chili enchiladas and a shrimp dish. I would order any and all of them again. We also added a half dozen empanadas to go. The apple one was the I only one we tried as we were stuffed! Overall, spectacular experience. Will return and bring others.

And every single time it is so good. Best margaritas in town for sure. We also always get queso, the fajita is there so much that we used to get the fajitas for two and now we just got them for one because there's so much meat and the onions and peppers and you just can't go wrong at this place! Most importantly, get a margarita, the mango margarita I don't like frozen margaritas so I can get mine on the rocks usually rimmed with Tajin. The other cool thing is all of the servers expediters they help each other. I've been in the restaurant business a long time. Nothing in my eyes for front of the house then to have everybody working as a team. And if you stop someone, that's not your server and ask for something they just get it for you.
