Was really excited to try this. Maybe I'm just old school was a little bougie for me, but it still tasted good. It was a lot of food and you paid the price for that food. The server was great answered all my questions made me an incredible burrito bowl. But I'll probably sit this one out again just cause I like the way I make my own, but if you're looking for a lot of food, you can share lots of new flavors and options than this is a place to come.

What a refreshing new option for a burrito bowl. The Burrito Shak, located in the tiny strip with Papa Murphy's pizza near Harris Teeter. The restaurant is clean and colorful. There is plenty of space and seating. Most importantly (outside of the food, of course), the staff was very helpful and kind. I could not make up my mind. I did, however, take pleasure in receiving the offer to give things a try to help me make my decision . I wanted to try the tofu--I HAVE to try the tofu wherever I go when I'm in the mood for it, because it can definitely be a hit or miss. This time it was a HIT! The tofu was seasoned very nicely and went well with my TI style bowl. The TI style comes with Rice, Beans, sour cream, Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Guacamole and Sweet Chili Slaw. I got everything as it comes minus the beans. To my absolute delight, the sweet chili slaw was a phenomenal addition. To be honest, I was a little hesitant, but I said why not. If it's an option, I will definitely ask for a bit more of that in my next bowl. I absolutely loved it! With my order, I received chips and my choice of salsa. I did not eat all of the chips, but they were nice, light, and crispy and the salsa was good with a nice amount of heat. Burrito Shak was a WIN for me. I'll be back!

Nice experience. Local well organized, cleaned, staff a little confused and nice flavor. A good option for a quick meal during the day or afternoon. You can also personalize your burrito and made the way you like. They just could improve the presentation of the plate and packaging to go.

Super clean and beachy cute! The restaurant decor is tastefully done and the color scheme is refreshing. The food is fresh and for the life of me I don't know why I would ever go back to Chipotle! The counter service is welcoming, the Baja Vinaigrette is better than Chipotle. This location has a Salsa bar and you can try all of them. I really enjoyed eating there. The meal was good and the sauces were great! The staff is nice, the food is good, the restaurant is clean... there isn't one negative thing to say! Keep up the good work!

BURRITO SHAK JUST ROBBED EVERY OTHER BURRITO SPOT OF THEY DIGNITY 4016-D Battleground Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410 (336) 499-0990 Mon-Sat 11AM-9PM | Sun 11AM-8PM I walked into Burrito Shak built like a starved raccoon. I walked out overloaded, slowed down, and spiritually fed. Soon as my shoe touched that floor -- NOTHING robotic. NOTHING dry. They locked eyes, smiled, welcomed me in, and THANKED me for coming. That already told me this wasn't one of them "hurry up and order" trap kitchens. This was care. This was pride. First time ever in there, and the menu started whispering threats. Too many bangers. Too many possibilities. I'm standing there sweating like I'm about to defuse a bomb. Then the manager slid over and dropped the legendary words: "Try the meats... (pause)." And listen... They weren't playing with me. Samples started landing in my hands like stimulus checks. Fresh off the grill. Steam still gossiping. Seasoning disrespectful. Meat tender like it knew it was special. One taste had my eyebrows raised. Two tastes had me pacing. Three tastes made me forget my original plan. By the time I finished sampling, I wasn't choosing food -- I was drafting a first-round pick. I locked in on the carne and the chicken salad, and the second that plate hit my hands, I knew I had made a life-altering decision. This food had: Flavor that argue back Seasoning that don't ask permission Meat so soft it surrender immediately Portions so heavy they felt personal Halfway through I was full. Three-quarters through I was bargaining with my stomach. At the finish line I was victorious... but humbled. NOW LET ME GET IGNANT FOR A SECOND... MOE'S? That's cafeteria confidence. SALSARITA'S? That's "we trying" energy. CHIPOTLE? That's luxury pricing for struggle scoops. All three of them combined still can't match the portion weight, flavor pressure, and respect level Burrito Shak putting out SOLO. Them other places be like: - Light on the rice - Nervous with the meat - Attitude behind the counter - And energy like you inconveniencing them Burrito Shak be like: Heavy scoop on everything Seasoning with intention Food actually hot Service actually fast Staff that actually like people This ain't fast food behavior This that "we tryna dominate the block" behavior. TY = OFFICIAL CERTIFIED REAL ONE Now shout-out Ty -- service was locked in from the first second to the last bite. No rushing, no fake energy, no confusion. Everything smooth, professional, and handled with pride. That's the type of person that turn a first visit into a permanent return. And the whole crew moved the same way. No weak links. No bad attitudes. No laziness. That kind of unity dangerous in the food game. FINAL VERDICT -- NO FILTER This wasn't just "good." This was aggressively good. The food smacked. The portions violated. The service uplifted. The vibe confirmed. I walked in hollow. I walked out patch-worked together with rice, meat, and happiness. If you still bouncing between Moe's, Chipotle, and Salsarita's, I don't know what trauma you loyal to -- but you deserve better. Pull up to: Burrito Shak - 4016-D Battleground Ave, Greensboro (336) 499-0990 Mon-Sat 11-9 | Sun 11-8 This spot ain't just good... THIS THE TYPE OF PLACE THAT MAKE YOU SIDE-EYE EVERY OTHER BURRITO YOU EVER ATE.

Had another great visit at Burrito Shack. The food was fresh and I definitely like the build your own option. I got a rewards card, because I will definitely be back. If you dine in, you get unlimited chips. The salsa bar has great choices. The service was top tier. Everyone was friendly especially the cashier and a gentleman working the dining area.

Chipotle?! Never heard of her. This place blows all the popular national chains out of the water. No contest. And the prices are far more reasonable! I laugh as I write this because I didn't know what to expect. The "chains" are generally known for their burrito sizes and I worried they may be small here. Y'all. This burrito is so huge I can't even convey it in photos. It's also extremely flavorful, fresh, and the chicken is well seasoned. I ordered to go online and it was a quick, seamless process! The restaurant itself was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean from what I saw. The staff member that helped me was friendly and welcoming. The only room for improvement might be the burrito wrapping, it was a little loose and sauce leaked out into the bag but no big deal! The burrito still held up and was easy to eat aside from its size. The next time you're craving a burrito (or tacos or a quesadilla!) make sure you satisfy that craving at Burrito Shak. Can't wait to go back!

My friends and I came here for lunch and it was FANTASTIC! Service was quick and friendly, dining space was clean and decorated very fun. The food was delicious and I recommend this place to my friends and family. I can't wait to go back. There is onsite parking and the facilities are clean. You order at the counter similar to a Moe's or Chipotle.

Burrito Shak in Greensboro checked every box for me. They had great customer service, a large menu, clean establishment, and delicious food. My sister and I happened upon this place after running an errand on our lunch break and we decided to give it a shot. So thankful we did! I'm trying to be a bit healthier so I opted for a salad topped with tofu, green onions, cilantro, slaw, cucumbers, pico de gallo, and guacamole. I got the poblano crema on the side. That was the perfect topping! So full of flavor! I loved their salsa bar and the variety it provided. This place is a similar concept to Moe's or Qdoba, but it has a flavor all its own and sets itself apart from the others. You should try it for yourself next time you're in Greensboro.

The Rincon Rice, Beans, Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Lettuce, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Chipotle Sauce

This is my second review I told y'all I was going to go back and try their queso and guacamole! Store was clean and service was kind. It was a bit busier today. This time I placed a mobile order. My burrito was ready but I had to wait on the guac and queso. Grabbed some salsa from the salsa bar but their were no lids?? The following are my opinions solely. I have to say I do prefer white queso (which is thinner and creamier), however their queso was much better than Chipotle, because it was smooth and had a good flavor, but I think Moe's has the win for the queso. The guacamole was ok. I say this because I prefer chunky guacamole and theirs tasted like they mixed a pre-made guac (like whole guacamole) with a few chunks. Chipotle definitely has the win from me on guacamole and taste fresher. I chose The Rincon Burrito today. I had no issues with the burrito. It was a good size, not as big as chipotle (but who needs that big of a burrito) the meat was seasoned well and all the flavors combined nicely. Ingredients: Rice, Beans, Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Lettuce, Guacamole, Sour Cream, Chipotle Sauce, added onion, cilantro and corn salsa. Protein, I chose ground seasoned beef. I gave a 4 because I think the organization of to go orders could flow a bit better. The guacamole, in my opinion could improve. The salsa bar needs lids. If you try tell me what your thoughts are on the guac and queso. Added more photos. Ciao for now!

Toppings area - messy, mixed, and poor quality. It's just out of the shot but the cheese was half full of everything but cheese.

Horrible sanitation issues and food quality. Had considered using your location for client catering as the original location was started by a guy in my hometown. The original location back in Hampstead NC is fantastic. The food was always hot, fresh, and the assembly area clean. The Battleground location is awful. I've been twice since moving here - super excited thinking a little piece of home was here in GSO.... Not the case. Ground beef is floating in inches of oil and fat and enough salt to cause shock. Other proteins are cold and tough. Lettuce is translucent, pico isn't crisp, queso tastes burnt, tomatoes were slimy. I had 5 orders. The pork had a spoonful left, I asked for new, the response was, "we have to use all of this before getting out anything new". Ma'am when what's left in your container is so dry it looks like onion straws, I'm sure your manager won't mind the waste - I mean I'm sure the food the other worker had - who rolled her eyes at my question about queso, sure had her order piled high with extras when she quickly sat down at a table after ringing us up. The quesadillas was over cooked and the queso was at the bottom of the container and tasted scorched. Overall the best item I had was my beverage, a Coke. My 15 year old son was incredibly disappointed at his sodium bomb tacos since we had just driven 50 mins from a school basketball game and he was starving. Maybe so much needed huddles with the staff can take place and stop in again for another try. I've got pictures of the counter and assembly area of the night we were in there to eat, incredibly messy and very dirty.

I was there again today. This time I ordered a burrito bowl, took it home and made four tostadas out of it (2 separate meals!) with my own freshly shredded lettuce. Their lettuce is OK , they just didn't give me enough of it (I like ALOT of lettuce on my tostadas). As usual, the food was delicious. I've had their green fire salsa (fantastic flavor and SPICY!), the regular mild salsa that they have on the salsa bar (delicious) and tonight he gave me a sample of the habanero salsa, which is also really good. Great balance of flavor and spice. I just love this place. I keep coming back again and again. The service is super friendly every single time.

I recently tried Burrito Shak for the first time and really enjoyed it! The restaurant is clean and staff were friendly. They have burritos and bowls with preselected items or you can build your own. They have a good variety of toppings. They also have a salsa bar that featured 6 varieties of salsa. I did the aloha burrito bowl and it comes with chips. The bowl was pretty big and I really liked all of the flavors together. All of the ingredients tasted fresh.

Update for our 2026 annual visit:…read more We ate in this year and the service and ambiance matched the quality of the food we had last year. I have been looking forward to the World Ninja Championships so that I can eat here again and the team did not disappoint. I had the special, chilaquiles supreme and YES! Flank steak butterflied and so tender that I cut through it easily with a butter knife. They make the chips fresh for each order of chilaquiles and you can taste it. Generous amounts of every flavor that went into the meal and I left stuffed! Hands down, my favorite place and I have a feeling we are making a second trip here this year for sure! First impression as you walk in, or look at images of the menu: AUTHENTIC! First impressions when you bite into your food: They nailed the first impression! I had the lingua, tripa, pez, and Pastor tacos. My family had the California burrito, chicken and beef tacos, and the Enchiladas Mexicanos with mole and salsa verde. We also added a side of guac and chips. Guac: thin mixed avocado and perfectly sized chunks mixed in with the tomato and seasonings. An absolute must! The 4 tacos I ate were succulent to say the least. The tripa was thin and crispy, but you could taste the rendered fat in them. It had the texture of perfectly cooked bacon. Al pastor is one of my favorites and this one did not disappoint. Then there was the pez taco that was just the right amount of crispy without being an iota overcooked. At last I ate the lingua taco. It melted in my mouth and I immediately wanted another. I don't even like mole sauce, but I couldn't stop eating the mole enchilada. Aces, hands down. The California burrito was phenomenal and had the perfect amount of each ingredient and a delectable amount of heat and sweet cream sauce. The chicken was obviously hand shredded and had equal amounts of larger chunks of meat and thin pulled pieces to soak up all the flavor in endless nooks and crannies. If you have not been here please do your palate a flavor and stop in. The value far exceeded the price of our meals and we plan on coming here every year when the World Ninia finals rome to town

True to its namesake, there are brightly colored folk art designs throughout the restaurant in line with their Mexican heritage. The trees that make it look overgrown from the outside actually serve to allow sunlight while masking the surrounding city, facilitating the transformation that makes you feel like you're in Mexico City. We came at an off-peak time in the afternoon and it was nearly empty. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt and attentive. I was pleased to see some unique menu offerings like Birra Ramen and Sopes that deviate from the standard American-friendly fare in most places. Drinks were good - we had a regular house margarita, a triple berry margarita, and a jalapeño cucumber margarita. All were tasty and I would order again. I tried to order a Mezcalita, since it's not often I see a Mezcal option, but they were out of that particular liquor. We tried to get street corn as an appetizer, which they were also out of. We got cheese and salsa with chips instead. The chips were hot and fresh, the salsa generous with the cilantro, and the cheese bold and warm. For entrees we had the Al Pastor Quesadilla and the Birra Ramen. The quesadilla was good, though the beans on the side were pretty bland. The ramen was a unique and very tasty option, and I was not able to finish such a generous portion. I think I'd leave the cheese out next time since it made some weird textures, but the flavor was great overall. Overall, there are some small things to improve (having menu items in stock, bland beans) and the prices were a bit high, but we had a great experience overall. I'm not often in the area, but I'll certainly eat here again if I am!

Break a law or two ( joking) and cut through an intersection or two. I'm kidding, so be safe. Birrieria has really gotten popular lately so check them out. Hot and fresh. Great service. They give you a lil buzzer so you know when your food is ready. Very quick and easy to get your order.

I was eyeing this place for an entire week and happy I tried it out being that I'm from California,…read morethe anticipation was quite high! It's a food truck located in Petra's parking lot and open hella late, which is a WIN! I ordered 4 Quesa birria tacos, Birria ramen and something that looked like a mini quesadilla, I'm unsure of the name. The ramen was very flavorful although it felt like something was missing compared to Cali but overall very delicious! The only thing I didn't appreciate was the price. The cup was tiny and priced at $11. There wasn't enough room for additional consommé (juice) in the cup. I honestly think the cup could be a little larger for $11 or add more meat. My friend says the Quesa Birrias ($17) were good but they still prefer La Costenita's. Personally I don't like La Costenita's, because the meat and taco shells are extremely dry. But that's why we're all entitled to our opinions and preferences. :) The item that looked like a quesadilla was really tasty and only $7! It reminded me of a taco sandwich lol. The lady that took my order could of been a bit friendlier but I understand most people in NC aren't friendly at all. She insisted I add cheese after repeatedly explaining I do not like cheese and advised to dip my taco sandwich in the ramen but there wasn't enough juice in my ramen cup to even attempt that. Overall the meal was delicious, I've tried many places and this is at the top of my list. I would return when I'm craving something authentic but the pricing needs to be adjusted for what you get. Give it a try and tell me what you think!
