This was a beautiful day with us four girls . First we went to see the Epic Elvis movie which was great and hilarious at the same time. Then we came here to eat . Our waitress Gloria was amazing. We were laughing so hard she had to give us time to order. We did place our for four margaritas 3 lime and one peach for me . Let me begin by telling you we watched the the whole new Elvis documentary hint of all his tours he did behind the scenes that was never shown directed by the actor who played him in the last movie. Our friend comes out of the movie theater in unbelievable state saying she can not believe how good they did he his make up and made him look just like ELVIS . . We're all like what are you talking about? She states I can't believe how good he looked and they way he moved was just like Elvis. Girl . That was the real Elvis. She watched the whole movie thinking it was the actor and we were all dancing in our seats . The waitress Gloria had stomach cramps. Anyway we ended ordering nacho salads and jumbo margaritas and had the whole restaurant in tears . The restaurant was clean and comfortable. Oh the bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen and smelled like baby powder. . I just had to give them kudos on that . The food was delicious. Been coming here for years, know the owner. Always loved the food. Unfortunately, last evening was a HUGE disappointment. We ordered our food online with a flan dessert. The order online was just around $30 then at restaurant it was $40. Spoke with the owner and he said he's not responsible for pricing on their website. There's also a fee for food pickup. No where on the website is that made known. You can imagine my surprise when I get to restaurant and the price is different than what I had been given online. I ordered Taquitos Mexicano. My friend ordered Baja Sinola with steak, chicken and shrimp. She says hers was really good. I tasted it. The meat was all cooked and seasoned to perfection. She just ordered extra cheese sauce to compliment it. Mine was decent. Nothing too "great" to report. The chicken had a good taste but it was slightly dry. The beef was seasoned as well. The rice was of good quality and taste as well. It wasn't that busy during our visit but we could've used more attention from our waiter instead of having to see him and get his attention as he was serving another table instead of him just naturally coming to check on us. This is the first time we came to this restaurant. We receipted quickly even though they were quite full. Our food was delivered promptly but it was terrible. As an example I ordered enchiladas with melted cheese and sauce. But I expect you to get with some yummy enchiladas with lots of sauce and melted cheese. That was not to be. I did get enchiladas but the meat inside was bone dry. There was maybe a teaspoon of sauce placed gently on top of each enchilada and on top of that was a little sprinkled shredded cheese. Yesterday I had the Burrito Mojado with carnitas and red sauce. They were stingy with the red sauce, so I had to ask for more. No problem. Draft beer was hot as piss. The waiter and guy at register tried to act like I dont know what a hot beer is. Im a roofer / construction worker, I'm an expert on cold beer! So completely unimpressed with this restaurant. I don't know which restaurant is worse, here because of their tasteless food or Blue agave with their rude bar service. There is no bar however they do serve alcohol drinks and they have daily specials. The complimentary chips were stale and the salsa was watery but spicy. That's all. No herb/veggie flavor. Just spicy. My waiter asked for my order, I requested a drink menu, he referred me to the back of the menu. He did not return to my table for over 10 minutes. I ordered the Mexican style street tacos with steak and chorizo combined as well as extra onions and lime. The steak had absolutely no flavor and each taco had a considerable amount of a extra chewy fatty pieces. They served me 1 lime wedge that was half rotted out from the inside. It was busy for a friday night. We started off with a free chips and salsa and both were tasty and fresh. What to say, the pork tenderloin enchiladas were bussin'! It was fall of the bone tender and smothered in a mix of queso and red enchiladas sauce. I felt the same about the shrimp chimichangas except it was crispier on the exterior. Came here on a Saturday night. We were greeted and sat promptly. We ordered drinks, which were good. The monster Margarita was a lot. It took forever to finish! This is definitely an option to share. Could suffice for 3 people, in my opinion. I got the ACP Texas and it was really good! No complaints. My friend who got the fajitas texanos said his food was good and there was no complaints. Always had great service here and the food is as good as any mexican restaurant. I particularly love their shrimp dishes and flan.

I decided to take a break from my other Mexican restaurant a little farther up the road and give this place a try, for the sake of fairness. While the food tasted fine, it was not as good as others in the area in my opinion, and their lunch prices were just a bit higher. I had what is best described as an ACP with steak and shrimp added. Every place calls this something different. I call it Cheesy Rice Texanos. I usually eat it with the chips instead of a fork, and cover it with a bit of salsa, a tradition I followed here. No real complaints, I just didn't prefer it over some other places in town. Maybe you will? Try it out and decide for yourself. read more

My wife and I have been eating at this restaurant for over 22 years. In the last 5 years we have requested a specific booth to eat at. We purposely arrive around 4:30 pm when the restaurant has few customers. We enjoy the food and waiters except for one named Mario. We are always pleasant to him but he acts as if we are bothering him, no general conversation, no pleasant attitude. But today, I went looking for an old favorite, and this was it. And, of course, I ordered, the Carnitas (Janice M. will very much understand!), and they were superb. They were incredibly tender, and as flavorful as you could want. Here they are accompanied by the usual, rice & beans, and the somewhat different, freshly sliced avocado and jalapenos, & lettuce and a slice of tomato. This all comes together very, very well!
