We were on our way to New Hampshire when it was time for lunch. As has happened more times than I can count, Yelp came through with a great recommendation. Jaime's was just a short detour from our route and well worth it. From the moment we walked in, the place had the feel of a neighborhood restaurant that locals probably don't think twice about--but visitors are glad they discovered. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout our meal. We started with the hummus appetizer, which was fresh, flavorful, and a great way to kick things off. My partner ordered the fish tacos, while I went with the Fried Spicy Honey Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich was outstanding--crispy chicken with just the right balance of sweetness and heat. It's the kind of sandwich I'd happily order again. One amusing moment came when I ordered a Manhattan. I don't think the bartender was normally behind the bar, because he had to look up the recipe before making it. It turned out just fine, and I suspect they have dedicated bartenders working the evening shift. Jaime's may be a little off the beaten path, but that's part of its charm. Good food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere made this an easy five-star stop. We'll definitely keep it in mind the next time we're headed through the area. read more

We were so happy to see Jaime's reopen this week! We got Marinated Grilled Chicken and the Cajun Mahi Mahi Tacos - both great choices. They swapped out mashed potatoes for the rice for me and it was a fabulous combo. The chicken was flavorful and the veg (a squash combo today) excellent, even for me, and I'm not usually a big squash fan. I'm still eyeing both the Apple and Caprese salads and several of the sandwiches for next time, but the grilled chicken was so good I might just repeat that one. The new interior is gorgeous - a very clean and more spacious look. We sat in the dining area by the front windows. This was very comfortable - they definitely have excellent A/C. I'm looking forward to trying the deck area at some point, too. It's tucked in at the back between the buildings and they seem to have done a lot of work on both the new structure and landscaping which all looks great. The front entrance is all redone, too, and seems very accessible. Service was excellent - we were greeted and seated immediately on arrival. Our server was a returnee from before the floods and super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. She went out of her way to check on the ingredients in an item after realizing I'm not an onion fan, even recommending a substitution. This was a wonderful extra mile effort and much appreciated. Excellent food, friendly wait staff. It's a fresh take on American food with some other various influence thrown in. I split the Korean short rib Mac and cheese with my coworker, and got mahi mahi tacos for myself. Both very wise choices. According to our waitress, all the menu items are of equal greatness. Definitely worth going back to several times to try it all. If you're a history buff like myself, this is space is also inside an old mill of some sort. I only found this out upon walking to the bathroom (outside of the restaurant itself) and passing by several large pieces of old machinery. read more

Party of 3 with 6:30 reservations, we were seated immediately, place was hopping quite a few families with kids tonight finishing up early dinners, waitress came and grabbed a drink order, teamwork makes the dreamwork and after a bit of a wait our drinks arrived but brought by someone other than our waitress, no problem if they ask us for an appetizer order- (they didn't) no worries waved down our waitress and got an app order in and she took our order- again a different person brings our appetizer, no problem if they notice our drinks are running low- (they didn't) again no worries flagged down our waitress got a 2nd round, both siracha Maple glazed salmon meals come out brought by another server and there was a good wait before the 3rd dinner bourbon tips came out, long enough to wave for the waitress but then they were on the way out. The food was delicious- everything was cooked to perfection, the owner was once again hustling about but never came in our area tonight. Unfortunately you guys set the bar so high service wise on our last visit it was a bit lackluster tonight and just ok on the service side but the food shined you to another 5 star review and if you haven't been here it is still a MUST TRY! read more

We came here for dinner the other week. Parking is plentiful and I like that it's in an old mill building. Nice atmosphere, tasty cocktails and a good beer selection, I got the Cool as a Cucumber and it was fresh and delicious. The service was flawless, I can't say enough good things about that. There were some issues with the food. The nachos we got as an appetizer were decent, they could have used more cheese and toppings. I got an order of sweet potato fries and a Caesar salad for dinner. The fries were yummy, the portions were great, but how do you mess up a Caesar salad? They forgot the dressing, the cheese and put about three croutons on the plate. Yikes. I had to ask them for all the fixings and then basically make my own salad. The other issue was the smell in the hallway you had to walk down to go to the bathroom. Methinks there's an issue with the sewer, it's all you could smell and it was very unpleasant. Not the most appetizing. I would return for drinks and maybe another dish, but might just stick with the drinks. read more

We were here for dinner on a Saturday evening during restaurant week and sat at a high table at the bar. Our waiter, Andy, could not be more friendly, attentive and cheerful. The hubby and I both ordered the tenderloin steak tip from the pre-fix menu which each came with a soup or salad and dessert. The garden salad was huge and very fresh. The tenderloin tips were requested medium rare for me and medium for the hubby. My first bite was VERY tough but others were "ok". None were melt in your mouth. A few of of my pieces had a huge gristle, which contributed to the toughness. Mine were cooked a little bit more than medium rare but the hubby's were cooked more than medium but we kept the tips and didn't make a big deal out of it. A nice portion (about 6 or 7) for the offering. The steak fries and asparagus were excellent...tons of fries. Then came dessert...we both ordered the brownie sundae. Instead of a "piece" of brownie it was more like a mini-loaf of brownie - HUGE. Served with whip cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Neither of us could finish it and we're still eating it days later at home. Overall, the value, service and the quality of everything except for the steak tips was a 5 and we'd the steak tips a 3. I had a chance to check out Jaime's Restaurant when I attended a birthday dinner here. The ambiance was casual yet dim lit, overall cool environment. We sat in an area sectioned off for larger parties, there were 8 of us. The service was excellent, our one waiter took great care of us and was quick (unfortunately didn't get his name). All of us had martinis, many different options from pomegranate to key lime pie. As for food, no complaints at all! Complimentary chips and spicy ranch, different but delicious. For my entree, I tried the steak tips with mashed and broccoli, all which were excellent and cooked perfectly. The steak tips had great flavor and were so tender, and the mashed and broccoli were great too. Hard to believe some of the negative reviews on here. read more

I have never done a review for a restaurant I have never been in. Went here on a friend's recommendation drove 20 minutes to find the sign on the door. Sunday afternoon might I add. Closed today due to staffing shortage. Yup . Nothing on the website but when you get there they'll give you a sign. So I guess thanks for nothing. Mrs. StoneOLD and I have been having lunch at Jaime's about once a week for quite some time now. We've been limiting ourselves to mainly Salads and an occasional appetizer. Jaime's has an excellent Cranberry Salad that we've enjoyed with both Grilled and Cajun Chicken. Ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. We've also enjoyed the Hummus Appetizer. Very good ambiance. This restaurant is located inside of an old mill, and it is so nice to see. Stopped by during lunch hours so it was a bit quiet. The bartender Caitlyn was awesome and attentive! I had a red sangria and it was SO good! For lunch I went with the turkey club, it was great. The french fries were also AMAZING! My friend had the short rib taco & was very satisfied. For dessert we indulged in a chocolate chip cookie sundae. Overall very good but it could've used less chocolate syrup. Decently priced. Would like to stop here again for the dinner menu. read more

posting this because we had thee we must amazing experience last night at Jamie's. Made a last minute dinner reservation after visiting Merrimack College. Jaime himself answered the phone. Was so pleasant to talk to. The wait staff were so friendly and welcoming. Next, the food was amazing, and I mean everything!!!! Cheese quesadillas mac n cheese and a Mexican dip to start. then the burger, salad and penne chicken and sausage were incredible. finally we were asking about the all natural cocktails and jaime himself came over to talk with us about them. what a class act. It is very hard to find this kind of service anymore. So impressed!!!! We are not from the area but when we are near by will definitely be back. read more
