We purchased a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness about a week ago, for my uncle. At the time of finalizing the deal, we were clearly told that the APR would be 1.9% through Chase. Based on that information, we agreed and took the vehicle home. However, today we received the official paperwork showing an APR of 2.9%, which directly contradicts what we were told. When we returned to the dealership to address this issue, the sales manager claimed that while most vehicles qualify for 1.9%, this particular vehicle is 2.9%. This was never disclosed to us during the purchase process. What makes this situation worse is that my uncle, who was involved in the purchase and has limited ability to read English, relied entirely on the verbal explanation provided by the dealership. It is unacceptable to give one set of information verbally and then present different terms in the written contract. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. If you do consider purchasing from them, make sure to carefully review all documents and confirm every detail in writing before leaving with the vehicle. We recently purchased a Crosstrek from this dealership on Feb. 14th. The process itself was fine, quick, and easy. The service after the sale is where it all fell apart and has made it impossible to return to the dealership for our future Subarus. The day after we brought the car home we tried turning on the heat and nothing, then tried the AC and again nothing coming out. We tried all the settings with no luck. Contacted the guy who sold us the car Jerry Anstaett, to see what could be done, if anything because I did sign a purchase as is form. He told me he would check on it and get back with me. Just like the blower in the car, I have received nothing. I have attempted to reach him 3 times and nothing. You would think they would know the issue with the car and disclose it at the sale. This dealership has lost our trust. We would have been fine with a response of we can not do anything since we signed that form, but they don't think enough of the customers after sale to give them that respect. I would think twice before purchasing from this dealership if I were you, or at least hit everything button and try every single setting the car offers before you hand them your money. read more

Would be 0 if it was an option! I will be cordial by not naming the salesperson. I have been shopping around for the Solterra, and was ready to purchase. I found a model that I liked at the this dealership. I asked the salesperson to make sure this particular car was eligible for the current lease incentive. He assured me it was, to which I asked him to please make sure. He obliged and said he would call me back in 20 minutes as he was finishing up a few tasks. When he called me back, he again assured me it was part of the incentive and that it would be easier for me to just drive up and talk through the numbers. I should have been skeptical as the other Subaru dealers sent me personalized quotes. I was ready to come up and close the deal, just needed to pick up my family, fight through traffic and make the hour and a half long journey. The salesperson then called me to let me know they could not get the car ready for delivery today, but it would still be worth looking at and doing the paper work. We finally made it, and I was immediately told the numbers might be a little higher than anticipated as their vehicle had a higher price ( which was also incorrect). As now expected, they could not honor the deal I had been promised. Now I will also have to have my credit ran again at a reputable dealership. The salesperson had every opportunity to let me know not to waste my time. Instead he used the most terrible bait and switch tactic. This is the reason car salespeople get a bad rap. Very disappointing and disrespectful. You have lost my business. My suggestion for dealerships would be Kings Subaru or Beechmont Subaru, but avoid Busam Subaru at all costs. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Buying process for my new OB Wilderness was easy enough. The sales guy was your typical car sales guy, not super knowledgeable and made some outright lies in product that he guessed at. His biggest lie was about the Subaru of America program "Maintain the Love". This is where Subaru pays for 2yrs or 24k miles of your maintenance. My first service visit I found out this wasn't applied but after service was complete I was told it's all set now. Just recently had my second service, 12k miles. They didn't add the promo, apparently just wrote off the first service. Fine, I'll pay for the oil change/rotation but I've been lied to SEVERAL times in the buying/servicing of this car now. I walk to My car and immediately notice a massive circle of scratches on the drivers door. It's a black car, I asked them only to hose the car not brush wash the car (the paint was ruined by the same dealer upon delivery). There's clear evidence the car wash crew started to brush it (streaks). I walk back in and talk to the lady who was my service advisor. She comes out, apologizes for the damage and tells me to bring the car in on Friday. Their paint guy comes on Fridays. I reluctantly agree after we both take some pictures. She later calls and says paint guy isn't coming this Friday and that her boss Gene would call the next week. Days go by, I ask for the GM to reach out and never does. Gene goes onto deny that they could have done it. He says the car was covered in salt (it was) and that no one could have seen that damage. The car is still covered in salt and the damage jumped out at you. BUSAM BODY SHOP manager Dan even told me it looks like it rubbed on a lift. Their own body shop, who says it's $1074 to fix. So, after all the lies and chances given to make it right, here I am. Letting everyone know what you can expect from Busam Subaru, lies. I'll let the courts decided about the repair reimbursement. They responded to my Google review and asked I reach out. I reached out as requested and they ended the text chat without a response. Shady as ever it appears. read more

I have been getting my two older Subaru's Serviced here for the last year, a 2008 Outback and a 2009 Impreza. with no issues with the service department at all, they are a little backed up at times, but that can happen anywhere; I think they need a bigger service department for the amount of cars they sell. Well I walked in the other day with my son to bring in the 2009 Impreza (my other vehicle was in the shop at a dealership near Kenwood, and I seen a Crosstrek in orange on the lot that just screamed fun. So I looked at it, took it for a test drive, then took my loaner back to my dealer paid around $1000 to fix a start/stop module that should have been under the extended warranty but wasn't. Drove back here and bought the Crosstrek. 30 mpg, more seating room, not as big a trunk but the rear seats do fold down for about the same trunk space as I had. It is orange with leather interior and fun. This car even rides better than my sport sedan I traded in. And way more tech than mine or even the current model of my old car. I was thinking of the Outback, but I really don't need that much room, it is 13 inch longer than the Crosstrek, but I would only need that space 1 or 2 times a year. Steve Tomassetti my salesman took amazingly good care of me and I am very happy with my purchase. I think I spent more time talking about cars and other fun items that I did making this purchase, very easy and painless. I would highly recommend Busam and Steve for your new car purchasing needs. If I need another new car in the future I will be back to see Steve before I go anywhere else. read more

I scheduled two appointments over a month ago for recall service for 2 separate vehicles. One the first vehicle, I had a salesman try to lower my monthly payment on a vehicle that is paid off. Then, the service guy wanted to replace a battery that I bought elsewhere on a battery that still has a year and a half left on the warranty and for which I haven't had any issues. When I drove the 2nd vehicle up to swap vehicles for the 2nd recall service, I was informed that they didn't have the parts needed for the 2nd vehicle. They had neglected to inform me of this when I made the appointment. So since I couldn't drive 2 vehicles home, I had to make a second trip to get my 1st car, and I'm left to schedule another appointment for when they get the part in. A recall service is a great opportunity for a dealer to show great service to win over a new customer; Busam Subaru absolutely blew it. read more

Awesome! I can't say enough good things about this dealership. We went in on a whim to "look" at cars and possibly trade mine in. The sales guy, Mike, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We found a vehicle we liked and went on a test drive. They were not the typical car salesman, they weren't pushy at all. We left without a car and decided a day later we wanted to get it. Called them up and they took care of everything. Even found the exact car I wanted in the color I wanted. I showed up a day later, signed docs and drove away with my car. I am reducing my rating to 2 stars, it was a pain less experience up front but behind the scenes was another story and so was 2 months after the purchase and now 4 months after. Apparently, when we asked them to run the #'s to turn in our Toyota Lease in exchange for a Subaru Crosstrek they did not even bother to look at final cost of returning the lease and other things involved with it. So this meant we were still paying car payments on an early return while our Toyota was hanging out at the Subaru Lot for 2 months without us knowing it. It took weeks on weeks on weeks to get anything sorted out! They gave us a refund for the monthly payments we made but now 4 months later Toyota sent us a bill of $1000 for the return! And apparently according to the dealership they did not agree to pay lease return penalties . I've traded in a lease for a financed car and they literally roll all that into financing! Wow!!! I'm blown away from all the stuff that is still haunting us! If I had known it was going to be this painful we would have gotten a Toyota!!! Literally just walked out of the most painless car trading experience ever! We applied for financing online and the guys at the dealership were nothing but helpful on my super indecisiveness between models and finance vs lease! I sat there so relaxed when initially before getting there I was freaking out and dreading the entire car buying process like most people ! The guys Laehsing, DjeniZ, their Manager and Mike from Financing were so helpful, patient and had no qualms laying out my options! And guess what?!! No bullying and intimidation!! They didn't bother to push extra this extra that! I got the Eprice for my 2017 crosstrek and I'm sooo happy I finally got my dream little truck!!!!! Thank you guys!!!! I moved to the area just over two years ago and was looking for a repair facility for my sons 2012 Suzuki automobile. I checked the Suzuki automobile site and they advised Busam Subaru was a authorized repair facility. I called and spoke to the service manager, he was very nice and stated they had been a Suzuki dealer for years and still work on them. I have taken my car there three times over the last few years but I have decided no more. I do realize Suzuki is no longer in the USA but parts are plentiful online and several dealers in the country handle their parts. Therefore only taking a few extra days or a week in the worst scenario. Today's visit the dealer refused to obtain parts from a national parts distributor, even though they are factory parts. I do realize that this was not their usual protocol, but it is a way to handle a customer and get a car fixed. Obviously they care nothing about me nor my situation. I will find an independent garage to work on our Suzuki. It has been a great car and with only 40,000 miles we should own it for years to come. read more

Walked in to purchase a 2021 Outback. The salespeople were in a conversation, and continued their conversation while we stood there. Finally, a person walked up and gruffly asked if we knew what we wanted. We were sure of the model, but not the differences, (turbo, touring, etc.) The salesman said we only have a few left, and they're out front, that way. Let me know if you need anything," and walked away. Other people had salesmen walk out to the cars, explaining what options they could get. We were ignored the whole time. I bought a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe sport on July 8th. Honestly this place was great. I wasn't hassled, I walked in and told them exactly what kind of loan I wanted and for what car and I received better. In and out in about 3 or so hours which is pretty good in my eyes. Brandon or Brennan (sorry) was my salesmen and he was awesome. The finance guy was pretty cool too. I was blown away but these guys. No complaints about anything. This is the WORST experience I have EVER had with a service department. My brand new Forester Starlink system hasn't worked correctly since we bought the car. We took it in to be fixed and after them having my car for 9 straight days, I was assured the problem was fixed. Fast forward to a few days later the problem is still there and it was worse than before. NO one is returning my phone calls and it clearly is not a priority to them. I PAID for this service on my car and it does not work. WHATSOEVER. I was told while they had my car that they didn't know how to fix the issue. We called the corporate number to Starlink and they told us that the dealership did not even try to reach out to them for help and now Busam Subaru won't return THEIR calls. PICK UP YOUR PHONE BUSAM and help your customers!!!!!!!! Use your resources!!! read more

But, we'll remove the transmission to find out, for an additional $500." I said, "No thanks!" 12/2/2018 Final update. After approximately a year Busam finally fixed my front breaks. It took a lot more effort for what a consumer needed to do to get the issue resolved but it is resolved. The last time I bought a car, President Bush was still in the White House. Anyway, my experience at Busam Subaru was exceptionally pleasant. They gave me a good deal on a 2016 Forester and also met my price on the trade-in. They did not pressure me into getting anything I didn't already want. Don't Don't trust the service department! Brought crosstrek here for recalls in January 2020. They informed me and documented that they completed all recalls for the vehicle. Then it became unreliable in September and they told me there's no issues. Again said all recalls were completed. However when I took it to a different dealer's service department, they informed me that the recalls had not been completed. So they performed the recalls and now the Crosstrek performs like new. In addition they were very very rude and made me feel like it was my fault. read more

I went into the dealership to just test drive a Subaru Outback. With the pandemic there were only 4 available 2022 vehicles. My salesperson was MIKE SILVATI and he was so helpful. He went over some of the features since I was reluctant to even test drive a vehicle with all the new 'assist' features! I loved the test drive so we went in to discuss financing options. I wound up leasing and this was the easiest car purchase I have had without the assistance of an auto broker which I had used FOR YEARS. Originally I thought about Honda Pilot but I went to the Subaru dealership just to look around. I am glad I did. I was over the moon happy with Mike and the finance guy CHAN was also wonderful to work with. Mike took alot of time with me going over the features. He knows I'm 'techno reluctant'... Impeccable customer service! My sales rep, Jerry, was communicative throughout my entire purchasing process - calling me with updates and even dropped the car off to me while I was working, where we completed the sale. The vehicle was used, however Busam replaced the battery, tire sensor, air filter, etc. and gave the car an oil change before selling to me. This dealership doesn't hold appointments well. I found a used car on their lot that I wanted using Car Gurus. I drove out to the dealership on a Wednesday evening and was told that the car was new to their lot and out at detail, but that it would be back Thursday or Friday I called each day to see when it was available and on Friday I told them I would he there Saturday to see. On Saturday morning a sales rep called me and we worked out a time for it "to be ready for me at the front of the lot". While driving go see it I received a call and a text from the same sales person stating another salesperson sold the exact vehicle. Very disappointing experience. read more

This place is the biggest joke. The salesman lied to me about the ac and the head gasket. I bought my 05 forester not even a month ago, took it in for an oil change and it needs 2500 in repairs. Blown head gaskets, 4 struts and box. I called and asked why I was lied to and spoke to NICK and he said he had no idea that subaru has a problem with head gaskets!!! I specifically asked about the head gasket and they told me up and down that this was a solid car. They lied, then when I tried to talk to them the sales manager just hung up on me! Now that's pretty poor business and does not seem like a Family Owned business to me at all. So unless you want to be lied to and disrespected I would NOT go there or EVER recommend this place to ANYONE. They should be ashamed. read more

We were looking at a 2011 outback and brought it to our mechanic. The mechanic thought it might have a salvaged engine (markings on the engine and missing skid plates). Busam denied the claim but really did nothing to prove otherwise so we walked away. The car really didn't drive the best which also made us skeptics. My family has been buying from Busam for the last eight years and have bought six Subaru's from them between my wife and two daughters. My experience is that the management of he dealership is very accessible and accommodating. They are very hands on and if there is a question or concern it was dealt with quickly. The service department writers are outstanding and have never given me or my family any reason to be concerned. They will work with you to get vehicle in quickly and have them done when promised unless the issue is out of their control. Called about a car i saw online. Said they would "clean it up" and have it ready when i got there tomorrow. Came down 24 hours later, car wasnt cleaned up. Salesman had to charge battery to get a test drive. Car was still worth driving and appeared to have only needed a battery. Test drive the car and it seems ok. Had it looked over by an independent small mechanic who said car needed battery and was solid. Good carfax 1 owner.. decided to buy the car and was told it would be ready and cleaned up when i came down the next day. had to wait an hour and a half to be cleaned up and ready. battery was replaced. However, after 3 days the check engine light came on and it coded as needing work done on catalytic converter. Turns out by accessing specific service records that only 1,000 miles ago the original owner was faced with an $1800 repair on it and declined. Instead he dumped it off here at Busam. Now i inherited this and have to put money in it right away. I understand used cars come can come with issues, however the check engine light comes on only 3 days after i buy it? read more

Decided to look at Subaru my old SUV was getting tired. Went to Busam and started looking around met a sales guy seemed very nice. I didn't see a whole lot in stock, and I did know they were getting 2020's in and selling the rest of 2019 models. I wanted to drive an Outback to get an idea of what I would be getting into out of an old GMC 4x4. Because we were looking at a 2020 Limited XT instead of a 2019 our sales guy flat out said no and that they two different cars Turbo vs. non Turbo Or What? UHH? STRIKE 1. Sales Guy also told us that they incentives if we bought a new Subaru. I went home did research and (They didn't do SQUAT). They didn't sit down and work figures and incentives or give us any idea of anything AND YES WE ASKED REPEATEDLY !! They offered to do this when we got the vehicle we wanted. My Husband and I hem hauled around he thought this was the best bang for the buck. ... so I let him run with it. So we went back decided to go with it and ordered an 2020 Outback XT Limited nicely loaded and asked about incentives and Busam and our sales guy and the guy who entered the order reiterated that by the time it comes in they will have some incentives for us.....(keep in mind we gave them a business card, with my husbands name on it, E-Mail, and everything. The other sales guy typed it straight off the card, and everything was repeated off that order to confirm it, and we got a copy of our car order to confirm everything.) We ended up ordering because their inventory sucked and they couldn't find a vehicle for us from 50 states. They already sold the one onyx XT off the showroom floor. So 30 days later!! Absolutely no contact from Subaru or Busam Subaru. My Husband sent them an E-Mail on Tuesday, and after a week of no response. I decided to call them. Strike 2!! I was transferred to the New Car Sales Manager because my sales guy wasn't available. I explained why I was calling on his voicemail and to find out what the status of our vehicle was and why it has been radio silent. He returned my call 8 hrs. later. The Sales Manager was very nice, but I believe he wasn't being truthful because he was scrambling a lot. He pulled up our vehicle and info and everything was wrong E-Mails address all of it. We cleared things up and hung up.. Afterward I got to thinking we didn't check the car order, and I am still not getting anything from Subaru in my E-Mail. I would have thought I would have received something overnight. So next day before I could call Sales Manager back and check the car order my sales guy calls and he is very calm and very short but his voice is radiating anger and barely restrained. I talk to him politely and remain calm and he reiterates our Outback will be in by 12/2 and we chat about a few other things. I politely ask about our incentives again and he now states and I quote him " I'm in the understanding that when you order a new car the price THAT car comes out to be is the price YOU pay!" Strike 3! He was just blunt and mean and I am done!! I'm calling BS on this dealer!! My husband and I were far more patient with this dealer than anybody had a right to be. We gave them numerous tries to fix things and to treat us with respect. I understand other paying longtime customers got that why can't new paying customers have it? How do you tell someone they can't drive a car? ( IT's OKAY I went to another dealer and drove one it was nice but I wasn't WOWED!!). How do you mess up and order so bad? I wondered if the car we ordered was coming in wrong...wouldn't you? I felt like I was being punished for being transferred to the Sales Manager for trying to find out why they had not contacted us and the status of our order. I found them to be ill equipped as a dealer for inventory. I found them to be lazy and the customer service horrible! I found them to be rude and dishonest! We shopped elsewhere!! I'm now driving a fully loaded SLT AWD Vehicle with everything Subaru wanted to offer me for $7,000 less tax and title out the door!! They didn't want to work with us or for us. They took away everything they promised us out of anger for being called out... SO Subaru can keep their Outback!! And I am never going back and I'm just left Wowed!! After reading a lot of reviews about cars bought from Busam Subaru and their issues. I am sooo glad I didn't purchase a vehicle from them. I understand their service department has issues as well. I have decided to leave a review for Busam Subaru service department, which combined with the national Subaru client services, frankly blew me away with their service and support. I worked with Justin, Jill and Dave, all in the service department. I just bought a used Outback as my first Subaru. I have owned all kinds of cars / trucks in the past from various manufacturers, but I heard Subaru was a solid car and the Outback fit my needs. Shortly after buying it, the exhaust manifold started leaking and needed replacement. It was about 4000 miles out of warranty. Basically, Dave and Justin worked with the national customer service folks from Subaru and together, paid for 100% of the repair, both parts and labor. That's never happened to me before, and I'm super grateful and appreciative to the Busam Subaru team for supporting me and getting it fixed and at no cost. I recommend them and hope you have an equally good experience with the team at Busam. read more
