I found busby via craigslist when I needed to clear out a good amount of stuff. (read: ex husband's junk) Horrible. The guys showed up late, tossed things Willy-nilly into truck (making it *fuller* than it would been had even half-assed effort had been put into it) swore like sailors (in front of me and kids) and were just so unprofessional. And my expectations for professionalism weren't high, I assure you. I called the owner/manager I had originally set up the appointment while they were still loading. No way was I paying for a full truck when they weren't even attempting to load it evenly, let alone to the specifications I was told they would in original quote. They had lines painted on the interior of the truck, which is how they determine pricing. At this rate, I was going to pay for 3/4 of empty space. After he tried to call them on their cell phones multiple times and they refused to answer his call, he called me back, and I had to play go between between him and his employees! It didn't take long for him to be swearing and threatening to ME. Eventually they left without charging me anything, saying they didn't want my "bitch ass whiny bullshit scammed whore money" (no joke) and assuring me they'd never do anything for me again for as long as I lived. On that last bit, we agree. I wouldn't hire, or recommend them, if they were the last business on earth. *Update re "owner comment"*: Your other "stellar" reviews haven't been lost or removed, they are filtered and it is quite easily understood and known WHY this happens by regular Yelp users. Perhaps one of your "legitimate" customers should have chosen a better profile picture than one of your truck, or to join Yelp within an hour of your comment to my review and low and behold, review your company. Looks a lot more illegitimate to me. (and filtered reviews are explained ad-naseum ALL over Yelp) If, however, the offer to "make it up to me" (predicated by them actually accepting that my review is legitimate, of course) would be to start using Yelp within the rules. If you are going to have people review you, make sure they do so within both the letter and the spirit of the "real people, real review" guidelines. You now, LEGITIMATELY I am not thinking of another company. There aren't even companies with similar names that I could find anywhere on craigslist or Yelp. Your name and logo aren't exactly difficult to recognize or remember. I'm sorry you cannot accept I legitimately had a bad experience with your company, but I did. I was treated horribly, the guys were horribly unprofessional and rude, and the means in which they loaded the truck would have added hundreds of dollars to my price (and made for an uneven...and unsafe...load to haul). Just have them take away all my yard waste. The service is OK and the trash are hauled away anyway. But I could only give a 3-star because, just like what Riss J. mentioned below, their really bad attitude. My wife and I did some garden work ourselves and trimmed down some bushes & weeds. We stacked the yard waste in a well shaped cube and they gave a price and I accepted. But, one of the crew started complaining while he's carrying the leaves and weeds onto the truck. He kept murmuring at the job just like I didn't pay enough money and force him to do it. He said my yard waste filled up his truck and I should pay him twice as he just estimated. What? I had my job well done and stack everything carefully and you threw them here and created a big mess. Sorry, I won't pay for your mess. My wife and I felt very upset about his attitude. I've used other junk removal services in the past, but this time used Busby's because one of their trucks stopped at my daughter's sno-cone stand last summer, bought a sno-cone, and posted a picture of it on their facebook page. Very impressed. I had a pc armoir that was super heavy. It was a real nice one, but I've been trying to give it away for free for years. Finally had enough of it - saw a Busby truck on the freeway, went to Dr. Google online and found them to have the best reviews here on yelp. They just left. Had a 10 am appt this morning, but got a call that they completed their previous call early; could they come now? Absolutely. Loved that. And, easy, peasy, done! I was really afraid they wouldn't be able to lift that sucker up onto their truck. They made it look so easy (took 3 movers to get it into our carport 8 years ago). Both very pleasant young men - neglected to get their names, but I believe they were Team 1. I had a potter's bench and a bunch of chairs that went, too. So quick, they were. And the price came in less than what I was quoted approximately over the phone. Totally worth what I paid. How do I generate this much junk?!?! We recently remodeled and I just can't get away from the Ikea stuff. Not only does that leave me with piles of cardboard the size of a car I also have all the old furniture. $257 later (including a 10% discount for returning customers, tax, and tip) and our house is lighter by 1 queen size bed, box spring, and frame, 1 giant coffee table, 2 old bookshelves, 1 old night stand, 2 dead vacuums, 1 giant old monitor, 2 printers, ancient giant PC speakers, and a pile of cardboard the size of a small car. I didn't have to lift a finger and no walls were dented in the process. Since we just remodeled I was worried about getting the box spring and such down the stairs and I know my husband and I couldn't have done it ourselves without beating up the freshly painted walls so I really appreciated that. These guys are amazing. I went online on Tuesday evening and made an appointment for Thursday. I got a friendly call first thing in the morning saying that the time I had chosen had been reserved by someone else while I was making my reservation, but they would be able to come an hour later, which was fine. They showed up on the day about 5 minutes early, and managed to load two sofas and a bunch of carpet into the truck in 10 minutes. The two guys were both friendly and we chatted while they worked. It cost about $160 to get a lot of stuff removed, and it was done very quickly. Very awesome. read more

Initially I would have ranked these guys a 1 star, because they did not call or show up on the date we booked, despite the confirmation email we received the night before. HOWEVER, I emailed back and forth with Mr. Noreen and he apologized and said our appointment somehow got deleted and offered us 50% off if we wanted to book again for the next day. We agreed and the team called ahead, even showed up early, and were very polite. They apologized profusely for the mix-up, and I also received a follow-up email from Mr. Noreen apologizing again and thanking my husband for his military service on this Memorial Day. Top notch. Look no further. Two guys showed up with two days' notice to demo and haul off an old 10 X 16 tool shed. They worked hard and fast the whole time they were here and crammed it all into a single load in an hour and a half. I used a yard maintenance company to remove some yard debris a couple weeks earlier and paid three times as much. Wish I knew about Busby earlier. As a precaution, I messaged them on Yelp for a quote and they got back to me immediately. I thought I didn't need them, but a few days later during an eviction, I found myself knee deep in a hoarder's mess in my backyard. I called Busby, they pulled up my information from the call I had with them, and two incredibly nice guys were able to come out within 3 hours. I just told them where all the crap was and they said "no problem" and went to work! They lugged everything uphill and even broke down things that were too large. One of the guys even got a cut on his cheek from flying wood when he chopped up a giant book stand, but he was such a good sport and told a joke that he lost a fight with the stand. I asked to add a few big items while they were working and again, "no problem." At the end, they asked if I had a broom and used it to sweep debris! I was shocked at the level of customer service I was receiving. After a stressful morning, it was a relief to work with such nice, attentive, humorous people. I had to get rid of an old dryer and called several places. I picked Busby because they were the cheapest. They picked up the dryer within a few hours and were nice and professional. We called them out to haul out some wood we had in the backyard from a previous tenant. The guys were efficient, quick and very nice. The only downside was the quote we got over the phone after sending in multiple pictures was 1/3 the quote offered upon the arrival of the crew. They won the work with their low original quote based on pictures but only left with half the stuff we originally wanted them to haul. And that was after we paid well above the original over the phone quote to begin with. So we ended up paying much more then intended and still have half the junk in our yard. There are a lot of positives (great crew, next day pickup, fast and efficient) but for us the quote before they got on-site was very unreliable. read more

They were a pleasure to deal with and less than half the price of 1800GOTJUNK. They were very responsive on email, gave me a quote range, and then I reserved online. They showed up, nice people, quickly took the stuff and ended up charging $5 less than the bottom of the quote range. It was $144. 1800GOTJUNK, which doesn't give quotes in advance, earlier came and wanted $305 for the same job, which seemed like too much so I sent them away and then called Busby. We decided that we definitely needed a junk removal service on Friday; I contacted Busby that day and we were able to get an appointment the following day. They were able to make a it at a time that worked for us . THe team of two were polite, conscientious hard workers, friendly - I just really can't say enough positive about them. They originally quoted a whole truck price, but when they were done they actually lowered the price versus telling us we'd have to pay more. They were careful of out belongings that they weren't taking, wore PPE, and had senses of humor so the time they were here wasn't uncomfortable.
