But first you gotta get past any of the Friendliest, Tallest Bouncers you could ever hope to Guard this Sanctuary from any old Riff Raff that would Dare to Stumble in off of Santa Monica Blvd as soon as they hear everyone having a Blast from inside. Because you will indeed hear us all from the Street... The Main Bar is equipped with Windows that open Wide to let the Fresh Air in. The Bar itself would feel like it was Reconstructed from some Pirate Ship... if it weren't completely Polished 9 times over to feel as Regal as the Resolute Desk before a certain Cheeto-Tinted Douche Canoe hijacked the Oval Office. Plenty of High Tops and Booths are situated next to the Walls and Windows, if not every bit Tastefully Spaced as the Glory of the Pandemic mandated all Respectable Restaurants to arrange their Seating. Needless to say, there are TV Screens everywhere; most (if not All) will have the Bills game on, but even Bills Mafia play Fantasy Football and/or have a Bye Week, so you'll also be able to see the Action across the League on a few Screens. Back to through the DJ's Bar, where there are even more Booths, High Tops, and TV Screens showing Josh Allen absolutely Threading Needles and Tossing Bombs to DJ Moore, Khalil Shakir, and the rest of the Electric Company on your way to either-- (A) the Theater Room with the Bills game Projecting onto the Wall in front of Several Rows of Pews. (2) the Rear Bar where a few Low Tops sit between the small Bar and the Sectional Couch in front of the Fireplace with a Large Screen above it... but there are still several TVs throughout to catch the Games. From here, you'll have access to the Pool Room where there are two Tables, and another GAME ROOM that is CHOCK FULL of Buck Hunter next to a Claw full of Stuffies, Darts, Foosball, Air Hockey, Skeeball, Table Pac-Man, and two Basketball lanes for Competition. (d) the Side Patio (where more Cheering naturally spills onto the Boulevard) complete with Couches, Covered Tables, and a PUTT PUTT GOLF COURSE. As a Bills fan, you can look at yourself in the Mirror after eating these Wings. You can thoroughly enjoy James Cook, Dalton Kincaid, and/or Dawson Knox scoring 6 with properly Stained Lips and a belly full of Busby's Wings. The Wood-fired Pizza is Top Notch. The Chili is a Favorite. This place is 10 min from our home and it is a Buffalo Bills bar. So I have no complaints. Food is not diverse though. But the setting is nice. It has big TV with 3 rows of seating and several nice comfy chairs, outdoor areas as well. Parking in the neighborhood is free on weekends and is easy to find. read more

This is my local neighborhood sports bar. However, during the World Cup, two people will come in and save an entire room where 20 or 25 people could sit. And they do that two hours ahead of a game or maybe they come in and watch the game before and then wait the three hours between games. I don't know why the bar mgmt allows that given that these empty seats don't buy food and beverage for two hours or three hours. And even if people are lined up outside to come in, management doesn't say a word about all these empty seats . Often, my friends and I just leave. It's fine to save a seat or two for a reasonable amount of time, but you don't get to save 20 seats-- rude and selfish. read more

I came through on a Sunday to watch a game and after finding parking easily on the street, I noticed immediately that it was packed! There were a lot of cheers and great camaraderie throughout the place. I was luckily enough to find a seat by one of the TVs and enjoyed the game while cheering for my team with other fans nearby. The arcade games were in use as always and the service was great as usual. There was a diverse group of fans and during my last visit, the chicken wings were really good. They came with a few veggie sticks and dressing, which added to the flavor even more! There are always plenty of boardgames to play and a vast amount of screens to look at! read more

First off an owner that doesn't care what the employees think about a change happening (when they are the ones who actually have connections with the customers) is a terrible owner. Employees knew the $5 for ONE game would be an issue and come on, that's ridiculous. $2 a game is pretty good and still more than surrounding bars but I enjoy the vibe of Busby's. Hello, I'm giving five stars because I think this place deserves more people to come and show support. The decor is so cool and the vibe is sports meets spirits, as in drinking spirits and goulash spirits. We felt very welcomed and will definitely come back when we visit again. The Chinese chicken salad was tasty, fresh and savory. But, I would implore the chef to add mandarin oranges. Our waiter had a greater than life personality and took very good care of us and showed me the royal treatment tour back to my vehicle, and I wasn't even drunk on the lemonade. What's with the buzz around Busby's West? This place is one of those places that is PACKED on big game days, and honestly I get it. Busby's is really good at being a sports bar. There are TVs everywhere, tons of seating and the place is way bigger than it looks from the outside. They also have an arcade, and a custom mini golf course in the parking lot. I've never given it a put myself, but I like having the option. Anytime I want to catch a PPV event I don't want to pay for you can find me here. Anytime I want to catch a basketball game with the boys and house a pitcher to myself - catch me at Busby's. All that said, there is a fatal flaw: the food is sub-mid. I've had everything on the menu, and I think I've been let down by them all. If you're a sports bar your wings should at least be better than the wingstop that is literally across the street. The fries are cool, but they're also fries. When's the last time you had a bad fry? I'm not sure if I ever had a bad fry (except for Arby's which I'm never thinking.) Last thing I'll say, the staff is also a solid squad for a bar. I've never been served by bartender who seemed to hate being there, and the servers are also super friendly. The short: Relaxed sports bar -- When it's not a Buffalo Bills game day that is. Decent bar food, nice selection of beers, and a very friendly staff. The long: I was having a tough day and my girlfriend agreed that I needed to get out of the house for some food (and maybe a beer) to get a reset. I came to Busby's, my new favorite West LA bar and grill, looking for the collegial feel I've had here in the past in which to enjoy a burger (yes, yes, I know I said I'm giving up meat to help the environment) and a beer. Anyway, I headed over to Busby's and the place was empty... 4:00 on Memorial Day and the place is empty (see the photos). And yet I stayed in an empty bar to have a beer (in this case a Tortugo double IPA) and a turkey burger. As I'm writing this more people are showing up, so I feel less pathetic, but lest I make this review about myself (oh, you know I will... keep reading), let's stick to the restaurant, shall we? Ok, so Gabriel (behind the bar) guided me on my IPA journey today with an improvised unofficial flight. He then guided me through some black and tans, sours and snake bites... The turkey burger was middle of the road (that is to say, it was a turkey burger), well spiced and balanced. To put it succinctly, my socks stayed on. The bar is beginning to fill with a crowd that is quite friendly, pleasant and young. (Though the guy next to me is 81... but young at heart). The turkey burger was average but the rest of the food is actually quite good, though old time regulars will grouse about the french fry format changing from steak fries to string fries. The cheese pizza was well above bar food average. All in consideration, the staff, the patrons, the taps and the food combine to make this place a winner. read more

We tried Busby's for the first time a few weeks ago while our son was at basketball practice. The server we had was awesome - she was attentive, friendly, and always had a smile on her face... that alone always makes a restaurant experience that much better... The food was actually surprisingly good! We ordered wings and sliders, and both were delicious! The wings were meaty and the flavor was great, and the sliders were awesome. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the atmosphere has a very college bar feel, but if you put that aside, I would highly recommend Busby's for great bar food and a good place to watch the games! Still the best chicken wings around. Now with a side of the worst service. Waiter said happy hour drinks were just 20 percent off, despite the website promising $6 well drinks (we paid twice that). Took our order, brought our drinks, and disappeared. Thirty minutes later I asked the bartender to please check on our food. She said she'd find our waiter and see what was up. Keep in mind the bar was entirely empty at this point and only a few booths/tables were taken. Another 30 minutes later I finally saw the waiter and went up to him. No, the bartender hadn't told him anything, he had no idea where our food was, but he'd check on it. No apology or offer to refresh our drinks. Finally 15 minutes after that - an hour and a quarter after we'd sat down - food was placed on our table. Our twice-the-price-promised drinks were long gone. We asked for water and the manager. The server said No. Seriously! He pointed toward the other room, said the manager was the large man over there, and that we could go to him if we wanted. Told this to the waiter when he showed back up. He sent over Michael. Lucky us. I swear Michael never once apologized for any of it. Instead he told a hilarious story about how the kitchen was slammed and backed up because of ... the Republican presidential primary debate. Hahahaha. I'm disappointed in the service -- and the manager's take-it-or-leave-it attitude -- and that the onion rings and wings are still so good (if overpriced at $13 for 6). Went to Busbys on Saturday to watch a basketball game and had a great time. Busbys is usually lively on the weekends but never too crowded, there's typically room to sit down and you don't have to yell over everybody to have a conversation with your friends. The food was good but over priced and the drinks were also good. I would definitely recommend the espresso martini! I don't know how more reviews don't mention the fact Busbys West in Santa Monica is Bills Backers Bar and if you venture into this place on a day the Buffalo Bills are playing, you're in for a real treat seeing #BillsMafia in action. Heck, if you even drive by this place during football season and the Bills are playing, you'll see Bills fans inside, outside, and maybe even in the nearby alley. I've been coming to Busby's West for Bills games on and off since 2012. My go to is a shot of fireball, a coffee, and a Bud Light to start. Then I typically order at least 12 BBQ chicken wings...and countless more beers. The place has definitely increased in popularity as the Bills have more and more success with Josh Allen at the helm. I wish we could say the same about Busby's... they used to do a tray of free wings at half time and have some drink specials plus a special menu for Bills games. I think they did away with all that. I will definitely cut them some slack though as COVID has hit all businesses hard and the restaurant business particularly. I will say that, likely thanks to COVID, the Busby's West parking lot was turned into a decent sized outdoor seating area complete with a lot of TVs! Anyways, a special shout out to Trulie who typically works the bar in the back on game days. She's awesome and continuously goes above and beyond. I've only ever been to Busby's for game days (including a few preseason games). Be sure to arrive early to get a seat. If you don't, the "bison dome" is always an option. Do note that for some of the more popular games and as the season goes on, there are times there is a line to get into the place and they reach capacity. Be patient with the employees, they're trying to manage amongst all of the drunks... With that being said, another shout out to the Bills Backers organizers. When I relocated from Buffalo to SoCal, immediately one of my Buffalo friends told me to meet her here for a game. I did and was not disappointed. There were so many people here that have relocated from Buffalo and meet at Busby's West to watch the Bill's games. The sense of community and fun is contagious! As far as the bar itself, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a little dark in certain parts indoors. The bartender was fun, although the Buffalo wings were AOK. BEWARE - NARCISSISTIC BARTENDER AND MISOGYNISTIC MANAGEMENT. Cannot recommend this place less. Would give it zero stars if I could. The bartender was incredibly rude, I was actually concerned for his mental health because he was being so aggressive behind the bar and treating every customer terribly. Didn't catch his name but he was tall with dark hair. He grabbed my drink off the bar and threw it on the ground and when I asked what his problem was he started laughing and then called the manager and security over and kicked us out. Open seating...table next to me get serviced. If I sit at the bar, no problem. Great service there, but sometimes there is no soli seats.
