Came on a Wednesday night and it was packed! The vibes were great though, and this is easily one of the nicest and cleanest dive bars I've been to. Service was quick, and the food was good! I tried a Chicago dog for the first time and was very impressed. Parking here is a little bit of a nightmare though. There's only street parking, and I had to park a 5 min. walk away on Tennessee Ave. for free parking.

Great dive bar. They have a good happy hour Mon -Fri until 8pm. $8 select cocktails and wells so the buzz comes cheap lol. More spacious than it appears from outside. Plenty of TVs on the wall to watch a game. The bar area has a pool table, there's a room with a few arcade games, and another room with more seating and a projector for games. The food is decent bar food, good for soaking up the booze. Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two.

Tiny's is a manufactured dive bar. This building used to house the Arsenal, which at one point had been a real dive bar before it gentrified and later went out of business. Today, Tiny's provides a dive-bar-esque product without the patina an actual dive bar would offer. That said, I like this place. The staff is friendly. Very friendly. Notably friendly. They have some good beer on tap, including Old Speckled Hen, which I don't see around that much. There's a Chicago expat thing going on here, which isn't really a draw for me, but it means they have malort, Chicago style hot dogs, and beef dips, all of which are fun. Of these things, the dog was my favorite. If you're hungry, the beef dip is more filling. The mozzarella sticks were decent. Some old barfly told me to try the frozen Irish coffee, so I did. It was pretty delicious - an Irish coffee milkshake. (Ok, Tiny's attracts some barflies - maybe it's a little more of a dive bar than I gave them credit for.) There are a few televisions - if I were a displaced Chicago fan, I'm guessing this might be a good game day spot. Tiny's is doing a lot of things well. With a little time and luck, I'm guessing they'll develop the authentic dive bar patina that I'm looking for out of a place like this. The service and drinks were five stars. The food isn't quite at that level - but I wasn't unhappy with the food I tried. I'd come here again and probably explore more of the menu if I were hungry.

Pretzel. LOL love how it looks like a face. Reminds me of Mr Bill from SNL.

This Chicagoan who's been living in LA for several years decided it was time to check out Tiny's Hi-Dive and it did not disappoint. I felt like I was home and I loved the moody vibe. We got there around 2 on a Saturday and the dark coolness inside was just what we needed for the scorcher that was taking place outside. Found a cozy table in the corner and I ordered a Painkiller and Vegan Burger with fries. The Painkiller wasn't the best but the Vegan Burger was so good! It was actually a black bean Buber which was yum! Fries were tasty although a bit heavy handed on the salt. Second round of drinks I ordered a white wine which was perfect. Service was quick and parking was easy...right in front. I would 100% go again and I will definitely be doing that very soon.

Lived many lives at this place. And I would not have it any other way.. 5's across the board for literally every part of this bar. Somehow never find myself really waiting for a drink even on the busiest nights. Great Guinness pours and speciality drinks. Genuinely the best place ever- Shoutout the goats Mike & Magnus

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at Tiny's Bar was disappointing enough that it needs to be addressed. I visited on a weekday evening during what appeared to be a quiet drag bingo night. (October 28th) There was no one at the door when I arrived, the bouncer was playing pool, which wasn't an issue, but it set the tone for the lack of attentiveness that followed. The primary concern was the service at the bar. The sole female bartender on duty was noticeably rude to multiple guests, not just me. While I didn't take it personally, this level of unprofessionalism reflects poorly on management and should be addressed. I ordered fries, a smash burger, a fountain drink, and a beer. The fries were well seasoned and the burger was decent, but both items arrived late and cold despite the bar not being busy. When I returned to the bar for a refill (something the bartender had previously told me was available) she didn't acknowledge me and instead responded with a dismissive "What happened" The tone was unnecessarily hostile and completely unprovoked. I get it you're annoyed but it's very uncalled for and quite frankly unprofessional. It's disappointing because Tiny's has the potential to be a great neighborhood spot, but this experience left a bad impression. Unfortunately, I won't be returning and I feel everyone that's ever felt racism in some type of way should just not come here either bc what I and everyone experienced is borderline racism. I rather yall enjoy the bar down the street with a huge pool room and nice bartenders called dusty vinyl.

Great deals on happy hour and a decent selection on draft. The Smash Burger is legit and so is the Italian Beef! And it was big! Easily enough to share. The beef was tender, the bread had the right dip and it was tasty! Could have used more sweet peppers but it hit the spot. Tater tots are definitely the way to go. Staff is great and the crowd is on the younger side. Fun place.

Honestly, it's just a solid bar. Happy hour is every day 2 pm - 8 pm. You order at the bar. There's games, a photo booth, a pool table, plenty of seating. It's very chill. Breakfast is available until 3 pm. I ordered the breakfast burrito at 2:30 pm. It's a decently-sized burrito, and it's delicious (eggs in this economy?!), so I was good with food for the rest of the day. My friend and I are fans of the $5 mystery shot because it's a drink and a game at the same time. My friends are also fans of the chili fries and soft pretzel. Having to find street parking isn't my favorite, but it's not terrible (and quite easy on Sunday).

Every neighborhood should have a Tiny's, it's comfortable, well maintained, and some of the best bar food (food in general, really) you can get in the hood. I got the Hot Italian w/ fries; absolutely fresh ingredients, cleanly cooked, and served in MINUTES. Pricing is fantastic and very much this is your local go-to spot. Some nights are a little wilder with events & sports (this is a Chicago Bears / sports bar after all). But off hours it's one of the safest spaces to have a casual drink and a nutritious bite

If you are looking for great bar food, this is the place to go! I love everything they have on their menu. I am never disappointed. I love their LA sweet dog, and I especially love their buffalo hot wings. Their soft pretzel is huge and I love the burger and fries as well. You can't beat their prices. I highly recommend this place to pop in and get some eats during the week. They do not subscribe to any delivery apps. They are dog friendly and have plenty of tables. It's super busy on the weekends and a hotspot for the younger crowd. They absolutely do not accept Apple Pay.

    Karaoke List

    Came here to catch up with my friend and loved the atmosphere here! There were Christmas lights everywhere and unique decor on the walls. When we came we did not know that Wednesday night is karaoke night! It was amazing because it was a live band backing you up for it. We ordered a moscow mule & new york sour. The moscow mule was yummy, tasted like ginger beer. The new york sour was way stronger. I don't personally enjoy cocktails, but to me it tasted mainly like a dry red wine. The bartenders were kind and fast! We also ordered some fries (not pictured), but the food runners would keep checking up on us which I thought was really nice! There is no designated parking, just street parking. {04/01/2026-8pm}

    Ask the Community - Tiny's Hi-Dive

I want to come watch Da Bears game tomorrow? How early should I arrive to get a seat? Is the bar diverse and will I be comfortable as a Black woman?

Not sure how early or which game, but the food is very good, as is the beer selection, and the bar was diverse the last time I was there. It's a fun hang. Enjoy and go team.

Can I bring my small dog?

Yes, you can absolutely bring your small dog during the week is best. The bartender Susie has treats for them.

What time do they stop serving food / the kitchen closes?

    Midnight

    When is the live music?

We do not have live music at the moment, but we do have Live Band Karaoke every Wednesday

    Are kids allowed?

My bet is no. They card everyone at the door.

Is there ever a dj or music ? I wanna go with my girls and dance

No Dj’s, but we will have live music in the future.

    Is there a photo booth?

    Yes!!!

But there is something quite wonderful about chasing pool tables at different dive bars. Namely that one does not know what billiards may bring. On this night, Conrad and I ended up at this cozy joint (pun intended) to handle some sticks with grace and alignment. And we did discover some fun and, on this occassion, a tattoo with wisdom that we should all heed, "the more we value things outside our control the less control we have." As the picture I took shows there is a candle above the quote which signals, in my opinion, that this should be a mantra that should govern one's life, as the one we are given comes with a burning wick the moment we are born. And, if we worry about things that we cannot mold to our liking or design, then we miss what is for us, time and again. But I visit dive bars so please take what I am saying with a dot of tattoo needle. One of the things that I really appreiated about this bar was the fact that I could use my credit card to get quarters. I never had that option and it was useful when needed. I ve been to other bars and that did not hapen. I mean who carries cash? I mean quarters? I guess people who need to pay meters and laundermats but they also have card options for them. Is this place ahead of the curve or other places in pace? I have been to bars and one is suppose to wait until the bartender is ready to serve you. But some people, me being one of them, thinks that the squeaky wheel gets the wheel. Or close mouth's dont get fed is the more apt, tired, saying. So I called the bartender over, had my shot, so I spoke. And she ignored me. Her choice. It is a legitimate process to avoid demanding customers. I then looked at a sign in the bar and it reminded me to "Behave." I do not know, but I highly suspect, that the sign worked on multiple levels and one of them was to remind the demanding lot to chill and wait their turn. So I did. Still I think that sometimes speaking up is the best way to get faster service. I mean, obvious, I know, but how many people sit and wait there turn to be given a beer that should have sooner rather than later. They "behaved" and their prize was a beer that waited for them to act and came when it was ready, not when they were thirsty. Even though Conrad and I went to play pool, the wait was too long. Like over 40 minutes long. There was other stuff we can do it had all the dive bar classics that are needed for a good time. Plus this place had charm. Pictures of big fish caught by people. Plus the people in there spoke about trips to Portugal and early mornings. So the people there might have a tip on a stock. As we drove away Conrad and I notice that they open the spot at 6:00 a.m,. And we were like who is drinking at the hour in a socially acceptable way, that is also healthy? I told him that the one time I had beer with my breakfast was on St. Patrick's day. So I did as the Irishmen did. Now I am left wondering who drinks beer before the trike of 9:00 a.m. and legitimately does it as a safe practice?
