They worked hard to squeeze me into their schedule, and really cared about making sure they were able to help me solve my ant problem. I've been using Aantex Pest Control for more than two years, and they've definitely made a difference in our quality of life. We haven't had any major insect infestations since using their service, which is ultimately what matters most. The only downside is that the quality can vary a little depending on who comes out. Occasionally, a technician may skip a spot or not put down traps unless you specifically ask, so I've learned to double-check the work before they leave. That said, their customer service has been very good. If you have an issue or something was missed, they'll come back out at no additional charge and take care of it. Avoid this place. Apparently they keep acquiring smaller companies so I really don't think they have their systems set up. They constantly give you a time window, (normally 2 hours) then conveniently someone calls in sick. To give you an example. I manage some properties. We recently called on a Friday to do an indoor service spray to multiple units. We need to do an indoor inspection first, so I schedule it for the following Monday between 8-10. I coordinate with the tenants, drive to the property at 8:00 AM and at 9:30, I call to figure out the time they're arriving (as its getting late). The woman informs me that they technician called in sick. WELL, why did they not tell me about it and I'm waiting around for 1.5 hours. In fact, what if I hadn't called them, i would have wasted another 30 mins. After some back and forth, I express the need to have this inspected for a quick turnaround service. She puts me on hold and finds someone who'll be there in 20 minutes. I say fine, I'll wait. 1 hour 10 minutes later he shows up. Today I went to the property for the follow up spraying. I called at 8:15 to confirm we were still on for the spraying and I didn't want to waste more time again. The operator, Adriana told me they are set to arrive before 10:00 as the window is 8-10. I'm like, ok, at least I've confirmed. I get a voicemail from Adrianna at 9:45 saying the technician called in sick and they wouldn't be coming. I have 2 more stories but you get the point. I'm so angry at this company and will forever remember the multiple hours I've wasted on them. My only regret is sticking it out this long. read more

Deondre did an amazing job, very professional. We needed the exterior of our home sprayed for spiders in particular black widows, which can be a problem in our area. Deondre did a great job, scrubbing out a bunch of nasty cobwebs from under the eaves and our gutter downspouts and our backyard in general. I highly recommend both Aantex and the practice of spraying around the house quarterly. Since we started spraying quarterly, we've only had ants in the house one time in several years. Before that, we'd get incursions on a regular basis (usually whenever it rained). So while I was skeptical that recurring service would be economical, it has saved us money, time and aggravation. In addition to recommending the quarterly preventive spraying, I am a big fan of Aantex. The communication is awesome but not intrusive. They text to let us know they're coming, and they ring the doorbell to let us know they'll be spraying around the house. But if we don't respond to a text or answer the door, they still spray. I like this because it means zero effort is required from us to keep the service going and the house protected. Lastly, I must say that the technicians that visit the house are always awesome. Not just knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, but they all seem to have such a nice energy to them. Its spring and weather is warming up. With the heat out cam the swarms of subterranean termites into our kitchen from the molding around the door. It was four days of trying to vacuum up the flying swarmers as they dropped by the hundreds onto the kitchen floor. Aantex Pest Control sent James out to evaluate the situation and determine treatment. What a kind and professional service he gave us in evaluating how to proceed. He came back to do the treatment but the weather turned stormy. Instead of just moving forward he rescheduled so that our treatment would more effective and the termidor wouldn't contaminate the runoff. James came back today and just finished up the work he bid. Update: contacted by company after review was posted - it seems more of the blame is with the home warranty company. Appreciated the contact and the explanation of why all this happened. Scheduling people are a nightmare and failed miserably. First appointment was as automatically scheduled without a call or any communication to me. When I called to reschedule, they got that appointment wrong. Called to reschedule again got it right, but was given zero information that was more than necessary and very easy for them to obtain have they had any care or concern at all. All they had to say was "you and your pets need to be out of the house for two hours after the technician sprays". This is important information. I don't know how they cannot understand that it was a hassle, but I wanted the work done. The technician gave me this information when he showed up to do the work. So at the last minute, I got to get out of my house with my dog for two hours on a hot day and no plans for how to work around that I wasted my day because the scheduling people Absolutely positively do not care about the customers or their jobs and do their jobs poorly or noncommunicative and need to be in a different line of work. I am so mad about wasting my one and only day off this week because I couldn't get done what I needed to get done because some scheduling person couldn't pass on some pretty basic simple information that I'm sure is the same for every appointment. Do not recommend this company will never contact this company again and the only reason they got used anyway is because it was covered by my home warranty. I should've known any company that's used by home a warranty service sucks because this is the only way they can get business. read more

Aantex Pest Control was called for a pest inspection prior to our home being listed for sale. James Jackson was the inspector and it was an overall good experience. James showed up on time and was thorough in his inspection of the home, exterior, attic etc. The report was e-mailed to us that same day in the evening. Originally it was stated that it might take a few days but after we pleaded our case for why we needed it ASAP, James came through and provided a report complete with pics and descriptions of areas to be fixed. Man, Aantex went above and beyond for me today! We have been dealing with a mouse issue in our apartment for about a month now, and our property company has been sending out incompetent people, providing subpar solutions, and dragging their feet on getting us any real help. Woke up this morning to find mouse droppings all along our couch, on the blankets and toys my 7 month old baby has been snuggling on and putting in his mouth (gag!), AND all inside the sofa bed too (double gag!). I was so upset. When I told my property company, they told me Aantex had been assigned to take care of the issue and said I had to call them to set up an appointment. When I called Aantex, it turned out the opposite was true. But of course, my property company has no direct phone number, and after multiple emails to them, I called Aantex back begging for help. Vanessa and Kimberly in the office came through like no other for me. They did some sleuthing for a good 20+ minutes and magically found a phone number to one of the people at the property company and FINALLY got approval from them -- mind you this is 2pm on a Friday, I had been trying to figure this out with my property company since 7am. Vanessa did everything to get someone out ASAP, and when it was looking like I was going to have to accept that it would be Monday (a long wait for this issue), she told me that Gregory (the superstar!!!) would be willing to come by today on his way home to inspect our apartment, from Brentwood, to Oakland (a big drive!), til he gets home... I mean that is next level!!! What a guy. Once Gregory got here, wow, what a professional. Put booties over his shoes (no one has ever done that, and we've been having a lot of work done here), scoped the situation, asked smart questions, wanted to see the basement area below our unit to get a full lay of the land. So thorough. Educated us and deduced that the mouse was likely isolated to our unit; he set traps, told us everything we would need to know and do to catch this problem critter. Again, all of this happening at 5:30pm on a Friday... I am so touched and grateful he went so out of his way at the end of a long week to help us when no one else would. We will continue to work with Aantex until we solve this problem, and I am now finally confident we will. Do not hesitate to get these wonderful folks out to help you! Have to give a (belated) shout-out to Aantex Pest Control and their team. I have had them out occasionally when we've had issues that required professional help. Ken came out not once but twice as part of their guarantee to respray if needed. It was easy to reschedule, they answered the phone and worked us into the schedule quickly. No hassle, no upselling, and no pressure to purchase a monthly service... just good people doing honest work. I also like that Aantex supports the use of natural, non-toxic substances whenever possible and use the least amount of chemical to control the insect. Everyone I spoke with there seems knowledgeable. I am currently experiencing an issue with mice in our home. I called my home insurance and they set me up with Aantex. Once I received confirmation that Aantex had accepted the work order, I called the company and was connected with Diana to schedule our first appointment. Diana explained to me that our insurance only covered setting of traps, and not a more thorough treatment plan which could include closing off entry points. I called my insurance back to confirm, and cancelled the work order as I can set traps myself. I am now working directly with Aantex to treat this issue, with our first appointment taking place next Wednesday, I will provide an update once that initial meeting takes place. I appreciate Diana explaining this to me rather than letting me spend nearly $100 on simple traps through my home insurance. After moving to Berkeley we were told ants are just something you need to accept when you live here. But a whack-a-mole approach with liquid ant traps and a mixture of chili and cinnamon paste was not what I wanted my future to be. So we called Aantex. Unlike other places I'd called that offered a one-and-done service for a few hundred dollars, Aantex recommends a quarterly treatment. For us, the cost worked out to about $100 more a year with free touch ups if ants returned between treatments. (The other services wouldn't re-treat.) They came onsite when they said they would (important if you're having them treat inside as they recommend you leave the premises for a couple of hours). There was one spot after the first treatment where ants returned and they immediately came back out and treated that area (it was an inside room that hadn't been treated initially). When it came to the quarterly treatments I thought I'd have to chase them down. Nope. They called me, asked if we needed any interior touch ups, and then scheduled a day/time to do the perimeter of our building and hot tub. We're midway through our second quarter (two treatments so far) and no ants. read more

He did a thorough job climbing above and below surfaces to inspect the main house, a shed, and random other structures. He was courteous, efficient, and gave me great estimates along the way. Extremely poor communication. They promise to come at certain time, and they never show up. Assessment says, it is rats but they bring mouse traps. Technicians do not speak English, so it is impossible to discuss anything with them. My cheap landlord had chosen this agency. Stay away from them if you want a good professional service! read more

Literally the worst pest control company I've ever hired. Unprofessional and does not care about spraying around pets. I was told that they would treat the inside of my house with something that wasn't going to harm my dog. Come to find out they sprayed the inside with Termidor which isn't meant to be sprayed inside of the house. My dog got sick and I had the edges of my baseboard tested. All I had was a slight ant problem. Then when I brought it up, I was dismissed by their crappy customer service reps. Will never work with this company again and I advise you to make sure you're getting the right chemicals sprayed in your house for your fur babies! read more
