This neighborhood joint was cute and the food was great actually better than I expected. I knocked 1 star off because parking can be a nightmare.

We typically come here about once a year and we're never disappointed. Tonight we both had a craft tap beer and they were cold and tasty. Very nice tap selection. I had the walleye Rachel with house made chips and their delicious onion dip. Hubby had the Ruben with onion rings. Both were exceptional. As was the service. Highly recommend!

One of these days, I will hit this place up in the afternoon/evening. I've always been here for brunch, and I am always walking away happy with a full belly. Firstly, they have a pretty good tap selection for anyone's palate. Sours?, Stouts? Lagers? IPAs? they've got something to please you. They even have wine if that's your thing. Overall, I love the food. The burgers are plenty solid. Juicy, and well made, and more importantly, they are not overcooked. We have had their hash, eggs benedict, and their sausage and gravy. They are all phenomenal...that may be the beer talking, but who knows? if you are on the south side, get here, get beer, and enjoy.

Heard about this place while watching Double Ds on tv. We knew we had to try it! Being local, I was surprised I never had heard of this awesome spot. The inside is super cozy, a true pub like ambiance and lots of different brews on tap. Our waitress was super nice, very helpful with the menu and what's popular. Service was just top notch. I decided on the Brie Burger and subbed it with a Bison patty - which was AMAZING. I devoured my meal so fast, and I am very picky when it comes to burgers. This place is fantastic, so many awesome menu options and I loved how the fries were crispy and not over seasoned or dripping with oil. Everything was done perfectly, definitely was high end pub food. I also was surprised with how fast we got our meals after ordering. Literally was less than 10 minutes. If you haven't tried it here, I recommend it. We will be back to try more menu options in the near future!!

The food is delicious at Buster's! It was my first time there and my colleagues and I stopped in for a work lunch. My favorite is the Chicken Tortilla Soup, more specifically, the tortilla chips. Onion rings were great too. It's a great hole in the wall spot with great service.

Buster's on 28th is a really cool quaint hipster type restaurant with a wide variety of menu items to suit anyone's taste

This place is always a classic go to for menu is pretty straightforward with something for everyone's taste. They have a good variety of wine and beer including a great happy hour. The service is always consistent as well as approved. One thing I would highly recommend here is the muscles *(although I was heartbroken that they were out of them today but I will come back again just to have those) that's always my go to when I come here. It has the feeling of a mid-level restaurant / dive bar feel to it yeah it's extremely welcoming. If you want to sit at the bar You can do that and watch TV if you want to set up four top during happy hour you can do that or if you want to sit in a booth up front and enjoy people watching you can do that or you can put in the way back and have an intimate date night... This place is for everyone!!

WOW Atmosphere: Nice little bar, high back booths and large bar area to sit at. Eclectic decor. Clean bathrooms. Food: HOT DIGGITY. Some of the best onion rings I've ever had. I HATE ketchup, but I would eat there's every day and smother it on anything fried. The Rueben was so tender and mouthwatering. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed every bite of food at the table. Drinks: The bloody mary was sooooo good, loads of flavor and really unique. Service: Super friendly and fast. They all just had a good vibe and the energy in here was so positive. I can't wait to come back here, I'm literally drooling as I write this review..making at least one more trip to the twin cities this year because I can't make it until next year to come back.

We wanted to try a place down the street that was closed on Tuesdays so we ended up here. I'm personally not a fan of the traditional grilled cheese, so I was wary heading in. But while they have what I think of as a grilled cheese, they also have many other things that while grilled and have cheese, are quite different. I had the jerk chicken and it was delicious. The teen had the jalapeno popper and I had some of that and it was fantastic as well. The comments praising the fries were spot on also. This was a fantastic find, and we will be back!

Staff are incredibly friendly I got the Apple Brie which had granny smith apple slices, brie, mozzarella, caramel, and pecans. I enjoyed it but the caramel made it quite sweet and sticky, I would probably ask for no caramel next time I order. The sandwiches come out cut into quarters which makes for great sharing. My friend got the Basil Pesto and it was soooo good, especially with the cup of tomato soup with basil topping. I ended up getting my own cup of soup because it looked and smelled so good! I love a thicker tomato soup. Really liked this place, will be back!

I went with a group of 5 for dinner so we got quite a few dishes, most of which were really dazzling. As a table we got the special appetizer whipped feta drizzled with honey and fluffy pita bread, crispy cauliflower, coconut curry hummus, charred eggplant, seared sea scallops, duck fat fries, lamb sausage pizza, and steak frites. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the dishes they got & shared except for the steak which was over cooked for medium; still edible, but not worth $55. Including 3 drinks and a soda our total came out to $230 which is pretty steep but the quality and quantity of the food I think justifies it (except for the steak). I personally loved the scallops and whipped feta dishes, they were scrumptious. Our server was friendly and accommodating and our food came out not even 20 minutes after we ordered even though it was busy. For a special occasion, I would certainly come here again.

The bad: Bloody Mary's were flat and expensive $13 each. No depth of flavor, thought we would give them a second chance. . Ordered croquette madame. Egg was severely undercooked - the egg white was gelatatinous and the bread way too thick, ham fatty and subpar, where were you Béchamel? I took a bite of my breakfast and he hands me a box at the end when I asked for the check--not asking if anything is wrong. Two bites out of the spring mix salad and sandwich. Bloody Mary full. $70 for a salad, madame croquette, slow service which is no problem. It's a tiny diner and around lunch time. No worries there. But uncomfortable dining service because we could feel the tension between the server and bartender. Again for me? NBD but my daughter did not appreciate this. The good: the Mediterranean salad was delicious according to my daughter. She had the same thoughts about the Bloody Marys. Super cute beer backs- pony miller high life. I brought the croque madame home and my son loved it. Went on and on about how amazing it was. In all fairness my adult kids loved their food. He did microwave it to cook the egg through. Yes I know I am picky because I worked in the restaurant industry for over 22 years. And I can make better food at home. I just expect a bit more if I am going to drop $70 for two lunch entrees and two drinks. Not including the tip. Bottom line: I would not go back for this very expensive diner that doesn't know how to properly cook simple things. Or chop veg. Or make a drink.

We started with Sausage Rolls and Cheese Curds (don't miss) and they were both very good. Good thing we ordered them early. Our waitress didn't seem to write anything down. She came by later to ask if we wanted the special Haggis dinner. We were sharing the table with another couple and 2 of us ordered the special. But she wouldn't take an order from the other 2. The Haggis was served lukewarm and she still hadn't taken the order from the other 2. Finally I flagged her down and they ordered. We were pretty much done eating when their food arrived. At this point we still hadn't received the requested water we all ordered at 6:40pm. It took a while but I finally got her attention and we ordered water again and dessert. Forty minutes later - no dessert. She had forgotten to order it. Another 30 minutes until it came out. By then I wanted to go home. Most people had already left. I asked for the check - 40 minutes later it is delivered and it is totally wrong. We had extra drinks and meals and no credit for the prepayment. I get in line at the order register behind another customer whose ticket was wrong (his took 5 tries to correct). More people fall in line behind me. The couple at our table also had an incorrect bill. On the bill I had written the correct items and crossed out the wrong charges. Right there in purple ink. She still messed it up on the 2nd try. At this point there was another line at the register so we just paid the bill as it was close. We really didn't want to be there another hour. The food and Burn's Night I would give a 4 star rating, the waitress a 0. I decided to make this a 3 star as Burn's Night is special.
