this office is in Concord, not Charlotte, just saying... we…read moremust be doing something wrong because it all worked out pretty okay for starting off as poop. my wife called septic blue because the outfit that did the previous pump out and inspection (before we bought the place) no longer exists. we got off to a rough start when they called my wife instead of me to say the tech was on his way - she was out of town for a couple days... got it straightened out and I met Nicholas at the house half an hour later. we located the vault, opened it up, and got rid of the wet and most of the sludge - cold weather really keeps the smell down. we had a look at the system and discovered there's no effluent filter, the cover for the distribution box is split, the field is not draining correctly (no filter to confine the solids to the vault) and there's a lot of rootage in there as well... so when it warms up a little next week I get to dig around to get the outflow flowing and maybe avoid a substantial cash outlay. shouldn't be more than about three days of shovel work, half a ton of gravel and maybe 60' of tile, possibly a lot less! or I could spend a couple five thousand dollars and let someone else have all the fun. Nope..!

Earlier I was told by one of those same companies that it would cost around 5-6k. I was nearly swindled by these companies that say guys who get it done fast are not to be trusted; I was advised to wait 4-6 months for them to find time for me. Greenway waste solutions got back to me with their quote and I was more than impressed! THEY HAVE THEIR OWN PLUMBER! They saved me time and money while gaining my trust. Never work with a company that charges you per inch to dig. Never work with anyone who says they "don't serve your area" because let me tell you...they have been run out of the surrounding counties for scamming people. The first thing they say should not be "10K but we have financing - 12 months same as cash." They are seriously out here scamming people but the people who work at greenway are honest, hardworking people. They installed my brand new septic tank with risers for easy access within 3 weeks. Stopped by ahead of time to see the site, READ THE PAPERWORK I SUBMITTED, showed up on time, and finished the install the same day. I had the same contact throughout the entire job. Very, very frustrating experience with this company. When it…read morecame time to pump out our septic system, we called the company we had been using the past 8 years only to find out they were no longer doing it, so we had to start calling around to find someone else. Wife found this company and they had the best quote so she scheduled service with them and they set an appointment for one week later. Two days before they were to arrive we received a call saying the tech. had an emergency and would not be able to make it. We understand, but is he the only tech. you have? Had to re-schedule and the next available appointment was 3 weeks out. On May 6th we had an arrival window between 11 am and 2 pm. At 1:30 pm we received a call from the company saying that a job had taken longer than expected, but they were still coming, but it would be closer to 5 pm. At 4:30 pm we received a phone call from the company that yet again that they would not be coming out that day. My wife lost it and let them know in no uncertain terms she was not happy with this and of course we got we're sorry, blah, blah blah. We were re-scheduled once again was told we were a priority but even being a "priority" the next appointment was still another week out. Finally on May 12th, five weeks after our initial phone call, the techs. finally showed up for service. The techs. Bret and Willie saved this company from a one star review. There very personable and professional. Bret even noticed that the pipe and filter from the tank to the drain field needed to be replaced, something that other techs. had not mentioned in the past. While it cost us up front it will save us big bucks in the future by having this pipe and filter replaced when we did. Overall we were pleased with the techs, not so much with the company itself. But since they had the best price on septic system pumping that included digging up the ground to uncover the access ports, which was an extra fee with everyone else we called, and the techs were great, we will probably use them next time and just hope scheduling service is not as bad as it was this time.

my Elderly parents called them to come out and pump their septic. What was supposed to be only $250…read moreturned into just under $5k of money they don't have, as they live below Poverty level. They were charged $40 for an additional hose to hook up to their personal hose. The tank was 1,000 gallons which the pumped but charged them an overflow fee of $135. They told them that there were issues with the way the tank was installed 5yrs ago, and that they will need a new leech field. They claimed t have put a camera in the pipes, but my stepdad saw no camera, nor did he here any motor from the truck conducting the hydro jetting they charged just under $900 for. The tank is only 5yrs old, and they claimed there were issues. I only wish I was there at the time because they took total advantage of my parents. Being in their 70's it's easy for companies to do this. They required the $5k upfront and never gave them a copy or receipt or invoice until hours later when they emailed it, and that is when we discovered charges that didn't make sense. The money they used was pretty much all they had in their savings for emergencies. I called the town and spoke to the inspector and was told that it sounded like to her that my parents were taken. that if there was no back up into the home, or the leech field, and no other issues, then they don't know why they would have charged what they did and then to tell them it's $42k for a new leech field. The town was shocked to hear all that was done, and the cost they charged them. There is supposed to be a $50 coupon, and they wouldn't give that at the time of work, and they still haven't even received that. PLEASE watch out for this company, nad if you have elderly parents, please try to be there to oversee. I wish I was able to have been there because this is sickening the amount of money they charged, and the things they charged for. Yes, they signed the tablet for the work but was not explained until after what was going to be done. And not being able to see costs in hand is unprofessional. Customers should have it handed to them and not feel pushed into spending money they don't have, to find out they didn't need to. The most decent thing this company can do is refund my parents at least half of what they charged. They didn't even cover everything back up, they claimed the town needed to come out. But after I called the town and explained everything, they said they should have never left it open unless there were major issues and visual issues of sewage backup. I would not recommend this company at all, and if they want this review and any other posts about this to be removed they need to make good and do an immediate refund. But I doubt they will, because they got their money from elderly people that didn't know much about what was going on, so they saw an opportunity and took it.

This is also the closest company to our house that does septic system pumping. They quoted us $290, not the worst but not the best quote either. The killer was they wanted $30 per foot per side to dig up the ground to uncover the access port. At that rate it would have cost as much or more to uncover the access port than the septic pumping itself. Unreal! Found a company in Charlotte, Septic Blue to pump out our septic system, including digging up the ground to uncover the access port for just $274.
