Bavarian cream and raspberry hand pies

We stopped here and on the way to Kodachrome Basin State Park from Colorado and again on the way home. We had the French Dip which was delicious and my husband enjoyed his Butch's hamburger. For breakfast, we had the biscuits and gravy special. The servings are generous. The staff is friendly. Take some hand pies to go! They are delicious! P.S. There was ample parking for our truck and trailer just off the highway in front of the cafe.

Butch's Best burger...and it is! It is really is! Perfectly cooked and hits the spot. Plus the fries are that crunchy/fluffy, hot fry!

When we walked in and saw a very happy biker, I knew we were in for a food treat. Bikers know where the good food stops are! I can't pinpoint one thing that was better than anything else! Between all of us we had a burger, the Philly, chicken strips, and bacon chowder. Everything was just as delicious as the other. The Philly dip was so tender and well balanced with cheese and meat. I don't know how they managed to make a burger with cheese and onions taste fresh and light but they did! It was amazing! Tator tots or fries? Get both! We took all 5 flavors of hand-pies to go (plus a slice of carrot cake) but ate a slice of heavenly chocolate cake there. Do yourself a favor and stop here for a meal you won't regret! Order one of everything, it's a place you'll crave!

    Butch's Best. It was awesome.

I grabbed a burger here on my way to Kanab and couldn't have been happier. I got the Butch's Best Burger with the soup and hell yeah this place was great. It had a great local vibe and great local people having lunch. Really had a good time. The burger was fresh as can be and the soup was hot and tasty. I really just could not have happier about this spot. If you're cruising the 89 and lookin for a fun local spot then stop on in here.

We took a little trip and this restaurant was close by where we were staying. So we ate here several times with our five kids. They were very accommodating, the food was delicious, and the dark chocolate raspberry ice cream was to die for! This place is definitely family friendly, and they have really good desserts! My kids loved the chicken fingers and tater tots. I loved the veggie stack for breakfast with hashbrowns, and my son loved the French toast sticks. There's some great history and nostalgia here. Highly recommended!

Thanks to the other yelpers for recommending this Cafe for dessert! We stopped for lunch after seeing Butch Cassidy's childhood home. The food was great! Fresh ingredients and made with care. Amazing service to top it off! Beautifully redone interior. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Butch's Best Burger was great. The fries were extra crispy and seasoned perfectly. Service was phenomenal and the place is spotless. I feel like reviewing twice so I can give them 10 stars.

We arrived about 6 and waited about 20 minutes for a very nice booth. We split a pretty good-sized house salad. It was fine. I had the trout with asparagus and sweet potato fries. Fish (lemon pepper and salt) was tasty and perfectly prepared. Asparagus was also perfectly cooked, still a bit of crunch. The fries were too limp but tasted good. My hubs ordered the ribeye. Looked so juicy and charred but was a bit tough. Flavor was great and it was a gigantic 16-oz. portion. Coffee was tasteless, unfortunately. The absolute highlight of the meal was the pie! The apple pie is the best I have ever eaten. The filling contained nice slices of apples, no mushy stuff here. And the crust was incredibly flaky with a bit of sugar baked on top. My husband ordered the cherry pie à la mode and was quite pleased with the pie and two little scoops of ice cream alongside. Nice staff too! This place is popular for a reason. It HAS to be that incredible pie.
