Best breakfast I've ever had, eggs were so good and the cinnamon French toast was so amazing

El Bambi Cafe & Truck Stop I would like to sincerely thank Mandi and her crew at El Bambi for providing us an amazing and absolutely delicious meal to fuel us up for our field trip to Bryce Canyon NP. We're ready to conquer the trails after Mandi very generously offered all of our students and chaperones pancake breakfast. We probably wouldn't be able to keep doing these sorts of trips without support from our community. You can bet El Bambi has a customer for life in me, but I must tell you, the food was amazing. This was a nice pleasant stop during my travels. I like how its facing the sunrise. The people working here are very sweet nice and all the goodness that goes with that. The foods was tasty. Breakfast here is such a great thing. Came in on a rainy Saturday just after they opened. Place has been operating since early 60's. Large servings of fresh made breakfast standards. Service all seems so personal here, even though we're not locals. I had the Corned beef eggs and house potatoes. Crispy tender and again large portion. Cooked just the way it should be. My wife had eggs, potatoes and bacon. Both of the plates come with toast, English muffin other breads. Ton's of local pictures on all the walls from way back. It's a great local hangout that accepts travelers. When in the neighborhood stop in and find out for yourself. read more

Traditional diner fare...we went with their "famous" Monte Cristo which, unfortunately, fell flat for us. The sandwich was not as crispy as we had hoped and lacked enough ham and cheese so the ratio of bread to meat was off. No powdered sugar as one would expect. Easily the best breakfast I've ever had! El Bambi Cafe is a hidden gem in Beaver, UT. The staff is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The coffee is a little on the weak side, but the food more than makes up for it--it's absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Denver omelet, side of sausage, or the hamburger steak. Yummy! We'll definitely be stopping here again whenever we pass through. I honestly wish we could eat here every day. Just a heads-up: it's a small-town spot, so if it's busy you might have to wait--but trust me, it is WELL WORTH IT! :) Oh also kid friendly. read more

This is a five star local diner by any definition you're looking to find. Over 80 year old diner. We got the clubhouse and the chef salad. First, the clubhouse was so fresh and lovely. A lot of times these sandwiches are coated in way too much mayo and the bacon isn't fresh. On this one the sandwich was just perfect. It was fresh and the veggies were just on point. One of the loveliest sandwiches I've had in a long time. The chef salad was huge. Tons of meat and cheese and the lettuce was fresh. I couldn't have liked it more. Well done. We go out of our way to frequent this diner on our road trips to and from Utah. What a delicious, quaint little place to get some delicious home cookin'. The ambiance is a little old-school country vibe, with many historical photos and facts on the walls. It is dated but clean, with very clean restrooms as well. We've had great customer service each time we have visited, and the food is just what you need when you've been on the road: delicious, filling, and fairly priced. I love this place. Not only is it a sentimental place for me where I ate many times with my dad and mom, but the breakfast is so good. Hash browns are perfect, they do their own bacon and sausage. eggs, pancakes, cant go wrong. I love it and will eat there every chance I get! read more

Traveling through, my husband always searches for an older café with history. El Bambi did not disappoint. Our breakfast was delicious and was reasonably priced. Our server was very nice and attentive. The pancakes are huge, the bacon was perfect and if you have a sweet tooth in the morning, try the cinnamon roll French toast. You won't be disappointed. Great little cafe right off the 15 in Beaver. We got breakfast here while staying up at Eagle Point Resort - which is about a 30ish min drive to town. The service was great, coffee and water was always full. The food was great too! The Bambi meal looked heavy but was delicious and very comparable to a eggs Benedict. The Food: If there was a French Dip in this state I would drive three hours for, it would be here, but not just for the sandwich! They make their own potato chips. They are served hot and perfectly salty. When I asked for Fry Sauce (yes, I'm a Utahn). The cook quickly whipped up something that was part cocktail sauce and part Fry Sauce... OMG that's my new favorite version of the sauce Utah is famous for. My friends got burgers, some breakfasts, and other items on them menu. Every single one of us enjoyed what we got. The Service: Because this place was so busy we sat as a group at the counter. I will probably never sit in the booths and tables after this because the staff kept us laughing the whole time. They were so much fun and eager to please. Honestly I had this review sitting in my notepad for too long, we went there last fall, and it's spring as of this writing. I owe this staff their amazing review much sooner than this. The Restaurant: I'm not going to lie, when we drove past this place on the way to the creamery, we giggled about the name. Driving through small towns there can be real hit or miss diners. This place is a hit! Fortunately for El Bambi on this day the Creamery was closed... So we did note as we rolled past this little gem, that there were a lot of cars in front, and on the side, and in back, pretty busy. It probably hasn't been remodeled since it was built, I'm guessing in the 60's, but it's clean and nostalgic. Summary: I know the creamery is a new DESTINATION place in Beaver, but folks, get your Cheese and ice cream there, "get your diner on" and El Bambi. Yes yes yes, there's food over at the other place, but it's the same food you're gonna get anywhere else. El Bambi is going to fill you up with happiness and joy, and well, good greasy yumminess. read more

My granddaughter and I were passing through on our way to the State Horseshoe Pitching tournament in Panguitch and searched for the best breakfast spot. This didn't disappoint. Not only was the food awesome but the staff were very friendly and made the experience well worth the stop. Highly recommended by my husband and me. Found it by looking for a gas station after we took the wrong exit off 15N. Breakfast was served quickly and was delicious. Glad we made a wrong turn and decided to find a gas station there instead of making a u turn to get back on 15. It was only a few miles off track for gas and a good meal. If you want a great place to stop on the way to Salt Lake for breakfast, this is the place for great home cooked food. My husband had the French toast breakfast and I had the cottage cheese omelet with salsa, that was recommended. I don't like cottage cheese but they assured me I would love it and I did!!! For a small town this place has big flavor. We are here from Vegas for a baseball tournament and decided to try this place. We were not disappointed. I got the 4oz cheeseburger cause I wasn't too hungry but it was just enough. The patty was very juicy and just so good! It's all made fresh from here in town and it was amazing. Very simple but that's what made it great. I opted for the onion rings and they were perfectly fried. Other things we tried were the patty melt, corned beef hash, and just old fashioned eggs and bacon. All were amazing with no complaints. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. The overall vibe is very homey and comfortable. It's very old school on the inside but clean and cozy. I would definitely try this place again if we are ever rolling through. read more

We were in-town doing some Rockhounding, and this was the perfect place to get a big cup of coffee and hearty breakfast to keep us out hiking all day long. Don't let the truck stop sign on the outside scare you. This place is totally legit. Lengthy and varied menu. All homemade. Good size portions. We had the hamburger (so tasty on a homemade bun) and the Monte Cristo sandwich- which is advertised as better than Disneyland's (and it was!!) The service was friendly and fast. This charming vintage cafe has the best and most flavorful Monte Cristo sandwich that I've had outside of the Blue Bayou restaurant inside Disneyland. We stopped by this place on our way out from checking out the nearby Fishlake National Forest. We got the hamburger and chicken tenders meals. Both were piping hot (in a good way!) and delicious. This placed looked busy and we like supporting local businesses since we stop in Beaver on our way to Panguitch two to four times a year. This was our first time here, and our last! We had breakfast, I had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and sausage on the side. The gravy was bland, thank god for pepper! Unfortunately I ate about half the sausage Patty which looked like homemade, full of green stuff. I noticed the sausage was pink to red. So I stopped eating it! Uncooked pork is a big concern of mine! I ordered eggs over easy but one was fried hard. When I fry eggs at home if I bust the yoke I start over and give my Lab a treat with the hard one. But I will never send food back, I rarely complain about food. I just resolve to never go back again and to further warn others to stay away. So about an hour later I get real sick while driving back home in Carson City area. I had to pull over and had colon blow on the side of the road. Seriously this is not the kind of experience one expects after having breakfast! So glad I had a role of emergency TP. So let me spare you! Stay away from El Bambi. The pork with the weird green stuff may make your road trip a bit unpleasant! On another note the staff are a bit on the Outer Limits side or just over the line of the Twilight Zone. But ya got to understand your in Utah where a lot of the women look like they are auditioning for a part in "The Handmaidens Tale" and half the trucks have bumper stickers supporting a failed fascist would be dictator! read more
