In Denver looking for a quick bite and was directed to The Porketta House. A very small and confined space with big, over-the-top flavored sandwiches. Take out is more the norm here due to limited space. The delicious pork is placed in a variety of sandwiches or bahn mi style with pickled veggies. Wings are also a go-to here. I ordered the bahn mi with red miso porketta, pickled veggies, jalapenos, cilantro, cucumbers and a black sesame keypie. It was moist, crispy veggies, a hint of a burn from the jalapenos and a PERFECT roll. It was a fabulous fast meal. The Porketta House has good service, tasty flavors and the PERFECT roll. They are so focused on the food that the cilantro is separately wrapped for freshness and to be applied to the sandwich later, impressive as the details matter. If you are looking for a very tasty sandwich, get to the Porketta House for a real treat. Nice job to the kitchen staff and prep crew.

Had been to the art museum and was getting hungry and I knew this gem had been sitting in my Google list for a while so decided to swing by! AJ greeted me as soon as I walked in and was super nice. I was the only one inside at the time, so AJ and I chatted a lot. He told me Porchetta House has been open about 2 years now. You can access the menu via QR code and order that way, as well. Food was made to order and didn't take long at all to be brought to my table. I even noticed when someone came in for a To Go order he made the fries right then so they'd be nice and fresh. Little things like that definitely stand out. The portions are generous!!! Look at the toppings on those fries!!! The original Porchetta was also well filled with fresh ingredients. I asked if the bread was made in house and AJ told me he sources the Original Porchetta bread locally and it was soft while maintaining a nice crunch. I believe he also told me the Al Pastor sandwich bread is sourced from San Antonio. This was my first time having porchetta and it was a good first experience. Don't skip on this unassuming place! It's a hidden gem and even though parking and seating are limited, you're going get a good, fresh cooked meal with great service. Will definitely be back!!!
OMG If you haven't tried this place yet go! I want everyone to try their goodness. I recently found out that they have monthly specials and now it is a green chili sandwich, sooo good. We always get the bhan mi and the traditional with extra sauce. The owner is so nice and hard working! We get take out mostly but it is best if you eat it there and piping hot
We tried The Porchetta House and ordered the Al Pastor fries, the Original sandwich, and the Bahn mi. The fries were delicious, loaded with toppings. The Original sandwich had a strong peppery kick that might not be for everyone, but it was still good. Our favorite by far was the bahn mi. The portions here are generous, so come hungry or be ready to share. The restaurant shares a space with a catering company, so it has more of a casual, no-frills setup, but the food is worth the visit.
I think this place was almost great! There were just two things that were big issues for me the first was the salt levels. The sandwiches salt levels were way too high. To the point where it was almost inedible. This seems like it's an easy fix or even an off day. The other issue I had was the "skin" or lack there of. I wish I could give them a 4 but the salt really was an issue
Omg! It was orgasmic!!! We ordered 3 different sandwiches and they were all 10/10!!! Our favorite was the pastor!!!! SO FLAVORFUL!!!! It will live rent free in my mind and I'll dream about it every night! Every time I visit Denver, I will make this my first stop!!!
Do NOT be fooled by the sketchy exterior- this is the best sandwich I have had in my life. I wasn't entirely sure what a porchetta was before I came in, but I am so glad that I know now! My husband and I shared the Al Pastor, which was fantastic- super flavorful, on a perfectly toasted ciabatta bun with carmelized pineapple pico. It had a creamy sauce with just a little spice that was the perfect counterpoint. Service is a little different- you order through a website on your phone using a QR code on the tables, but it was simple and easy to use, we had no issues. The gentleman running the kitchen was very friendly and on top of it too when we came in. Highly highly recommend. I might come back tomorrow it was so good.
Kind of a hole in the wall seemingly sharing space with a catering outfit. Had The Original with a Mexican Coke. Sandwich was jam packed with pork and a spicy arugula. My meal was super filling and very satisfying. The spiced fries were graced with the same delicious combination of salt, garlic, and other unknown magic. They are absolutely inhalable. The gentleman working there, unfortunately I didn't catch his name, was very friendly, efficient and worthy of praise and appreciation. Give The Porchetta House a try!
This is a small place with big flavors. The food was amazing. Very fresh. Food came out piping hot. I will definitely be coming back here next time I visit Denver

Porchetta House is definitely an unassuming spot. When we walked in, the place was completely empty--no staff, no customers--just a quiet space where you order from your phone. The vibe was... weird. Not necessarily bad, just kind of uncomfy. After not being greeted, the chef stopped back to check our order and was very friendly and kind. Now, onto the food. The original was fine--nothing mind-blowing, a little underwhelming. But the al pastor sandwich was unreal. The flavors were bold, the meat was tender, and it made up for some of the weirdness in the experience.
My new favorite sandwich. It's the best I've had in a long time. Definitely get a round of Bahn mi fries for the table.

What makes a good sandwich place? A stack that makes a good Instagram photo? Pastel walls and hip names? Or is it how delicious things are? The place was empty when we arrived around dinner time. We were greeted warmly by a guy who popped out from the kitchen and put in an order of mozzarella sticks. They arrived freshly fried and hit the spot, crispy and gooey. Next up was the Al Pastor bundle. Wow, it looked amazing and tasted great! I think it might end up in the rotation of sandwiches but I've got to try the other ones! Do not let this place fool you, go in and try the food. Went here around noon which was busy. Only one person working but you could tell right away he was friendly and recommended to place the order online. I had bad experience with placing the order online. I was irritated but the owner/cook made my food and gave it to me. The food was amazing and delicious. Customer service was on point. Very filling and a lot of meat on the sandwich. If you around these area, do not hesitate to try it. read more

This place is awesome. The food was delicious and the service was quick. It was one guy running around serving everyone. I sat inside where you can serve your own water. Everyone else was outside and watching something since I heard cheers every so often. I got myself the al pastor sandwich and moz sticks. The cheese pull of the moz sticks was to die for and the al pastor sandwich was delicious. Service was great and quick. Highly recommend the place read more
The Porchetta House rocks! Its three ways you can enjoy what Chef A.J makes. Whatever way you choose this delicious porchetta is the star of the show! One way: as a sandwich ( the banh mi) Two: as loaded fries with all the lovely porchetta generously mixed in there with the fries. Three: as a Lollipop or Al Pastor. Which one do I prefer? Well I tried them all and I think it depends on how hungry you are. Get it? The Al Pastor ,or the lollipop. Achiote Rubbed Porchetta, Caramelized Pineapple Pico, Cotija Cheese on San Antonio Bakery Bolio Bread (Paloni is also half-Hispanic, which inspired the al pastor version, for which the porchetta is marinated in an achiote rub for 24 hours, then slow-roasted, sliced and served with caramelized-pineapple pico and cotija cheese on a bolillo roll from a San Antonio bakery) The Bahn Mi ( sandwich ) Red Miso Marinated Porchetta, Cucumber, Pickled Carrots, Jalapeño, Cilantro, Black Sesame Kewpie on Vinh Xuong Bakery Bread. ( The banh mi porchetta is marinated for 24 hours in red miso and served with cucumber, pickled carrots, jalapeños, cilantro and black sesame Kewpie on bread from Vinh Xuong Bakery.) Had been wanting to try Porchetta House since it had great reviews. We finally made it in, met AJ, the chef and are so glad we did. Ordered the Original Bundle and the Al Pastor sandwich. I had no expectations since I've never had this type of sandwich. All I can say is YUM! Delicious and original flavors, well cooked porchetta, fresh veggies and very filling. Little bit of a hole in the wall and not a lot of space but as AJ said, this is temporary. He has plans to expand and I'm so glad since this is a must try! The location is a bit hidden. Using Google, it'll take you to a bar so we were confused. Just walk around the corner and you'll see The Porchetta House entrance. read more
We had never tried porchetta before, but after seeing the pictures online, we had to give this place a shot. We are so happy we did! The service was great and the food was insanely delicious. I've had porchetta in some very fancy restaurants and it was always delicious, but nothing like this. Note that porchetta refers to a pork roast. This apparently originated in central Italy (Rome), but has become popular throughout the country and was brought to the U.S. by 19th century Italian immigrants. There are many variations. The meat can be stuffed with many different things or left plain. Most typically it is a boneless pork loin, often wrapped in pork belly, and with a mix of herbs. The skin is always left on and the meat is roasted very slowly so that it is exceptionally moist and flavorful. It is usually served as a sandwich. The Porchetta House has this down to a science. Porchetta is the only thing they do. You can get original, al pastor, or bahn mi versions as sandwiches (using a high-end, authentic roll for each), over fries, or as a skewer. Chef AJ is a super nice guy with extensive training and experience. His concept is brilliant. Sorry, no pictures yet. My sandwich smelled so wonderful that I whipped it out of the bag the instant I got home and wolfed it down. This is unbelievable. Go here now! read more

This place is definitely a hidden gem with hole-in-the-wall vibes. There was literally one guy there running the whole show which major props to him. Their fried mushrooms were decent and their original was good as well. It had a little too much bread to my liking with an interesting spice that was present in each of these dishes but other than that just a good quality meal. read more

This place is a must try! My daughter and I are visiting from out of town and we like to check out different places each day but decided to go back for a second time On our first visit we tried the bahn mi and the Al pastor, both incredible. Basically an explosion of texture and flavor that never ends. Our second trip we had to have the bahn mi again and tried the original. The original is going to be your go to if you're big on savory. No, they only offer soft drinks. However, there's a bar in the same building and there's also a liquor store. Just go around to the front, facing Colfax Avenue.
