Went here on 7/12/26. Around 1130am. 2 adults and 2 kids. About a 15 minute wait. Steadily busy. They have a decent sized patio that is covered. Parking lot is decent sized but could be a problem. Host staff was very friendly. We had called and put our name on the waitlist. Unknown our servers name, I forgot it and it didn't say on the receipt. We ordered pancakes, eggs and fruit for my kids. I had the kitchen sink and my wife had one of the Benedict's. Very good food. Very flavorful. The waitress was very attentive. Kept our drinks refilled. Thank you very much.

Not my first time at Syrup, but it was my first time at this location. The staff were so nice and very welcoming. However, the food was very greasy. I got the fiestaBowl from their special menu. I couldn't eat more than few bites, it was very oily. My friend was sitting next to me and got a chicken sandwich and she also did not eat it because of how greasy it was. We ordered churro doughnuts and Nutella French toast for the table and were delicious. If you like heavy brunch, that is your spot.

I've never been a big fan of Syrup, but I had never been to this location and had a yen for pancakes, so I got up early to get some takeout as I know it gets crowded, especially on a weekend morning. It was fairly quiet at 8:30 on Sunday. The host directed me to the bar where a friendly staffer took my order. The order was out in about ten minutes. The takeout box was so hot I could hardly hang onto it. This seemed odd. Pancakes are not usually steaming hot when they come to the table. Could the dreaded microwave have been involved? I don't know. I made my way home and opened the box to discover not fluffy, golden cakes, but a somewhat dense, dark brown mess right on the verge of being burnt. The taste was off, too. It seemed like the flat top had not been cleaned and the pancakes had picked up burnt flavors from previous dishes. Not at all what I was expecting. I won't be back. Ick.

Cute diner! Came around 11:15 am on a Saturday and were seated right away. The servers were very attentive. We all got breakfast foods - two garden omelettes with sliced potatoes and breakfast tacos - and we all thought our dishes were solid. I'll speak for myself regarding the garden omelette- it was fine, a little oily, not overly flavorful. I was not a fan of the potatoes, they were super small and crispy, I was picturing something different. My partner thought they were good though. Very reasonably priced. I would come again! Good vegan and gluten free labeling. No gluten free bread but with the potatoes there are options! You can also pay $2-3 extra to do vegan eggs instead of regular eggs.

The service was okay and the food was pretty bland. we sat on the patio and didn't like that there were so many dogs. And unfortunately grossed out when I went to take a bite of my food and saw dog hair on my food.wish I could have been able to enjoy my food without dog hair flying around

Food looked batter than it tasted ! Now I remember why I never went back years ago. The staff were all very pleasant. They didn't rush us which we were worried about since they closed in 30 minutes. We have been other places where you get that vibe that your not wanted. So definitely a plus for the inviting staff !

Great food, great service. Breakfast came quickly, no wait, waffles and breakfast sandwich were delicious

    Veggie Breakfast Bowl*

Came here for a birthday and the food was subpar, service was meh and prices are ridiculous. I ordered the veggie bowl which was greasy and soggy. Everything at our table came out sooo fast (party 12) which makes me assume stuff is just sitting in batches premade ready to throw together. I was asked how I liked my eggs for my bowl and then was charged $4!!! for scrambled eggs because they didn't come with the bowl. The server did not say it was an upcharge / upsell. First time at this location and will never be back.

Solid neighborhood breakfast spot. We got the hot hen skillet, chilaquiles skillet and shared the Nutella French toast - all were great. Prices are fair and service is great. Will be returning.

    The Kitchen Sink*

The food was delicious, the coffee is strong with a really good flavor, the service was excellent. The ambiance was great.

Cute place near city park and it's nice it's dog friendly. I will say service wasn't great. Table didn't have silverware and had to ask the waitress 3 times for a dog bow and eventually asked someone else. Sweet lady but not the best. My husband got the Nutella stuffed French toast with an extra French toast with the butterscotch syrup. I got the kitchen sink and we started with the beignets. The beignets were nice and light and perfectly sugary. The syrup wad a nice accompany for them. The kitchen sink...warning...do not order unless you're near a restroom lol. Tasty and definitely a hungry girl (maybe hormonal) meal as it has a bit of everything. Definitely fat and carbs. I liked it but it's very heavy. My husband really liked his French toast. Overall, it's a place we'd go back.

The first trip to Syrup City Park was good, with relatives in tow for a family event! There was some parking on site, but not enough on this Monday morning, so I had to park offsite after dropping off mobility-impaired members. The setting is great, across from beautiful City Park. A lot of great spacing bolsters the Roomy waiting area for the interior dining area and an outdoor section. Our kind server, Abby, was both patient and professional, as our party took its time making decisions. A Pepsi establishment, which always knocks my grade down due to soft drink selections that are not my favorites. I ordered a pair of well-received Crack Bacon as appetizers for the table. It's five pieces of Maple Bacon with brown sugar and black pepper, and it is delicious. Must do this each time moving forward. One of our group ordered the Mile High Tower stack and loved it. Another had an omelet and enjoyed it; one more had a mix that I couldn't identify. I enjoyed the tasty BYO burger for brunch, skipping breakfast because it was too late in the morning for me to indulge in breakfast items. They got it right, but it was not spectacular, just really good. I love state tots and sampled from my family members because I can.

Great spot right across the street from one of the best parks in the city. I love the location, and of course the food is fantastic! I had the Maryland Benedict (crab cakes on a potato pancake) and it was incredible. I also ordered a side of pancakes so I could try out their delicious syrups. My friend got a Veggie Breakfast Bowl and that looked colors, fresh, and delicious. Our server was super friendly, and was attentive without interrupting the conversation too much-- which is hard to do when you're busy juggling a bunch of brunchers on a Saturday morning!

After reading other reviews and checking out photos beforehand, I knew the Colorado lamb was a must-order. It's not something I usually go for, but it ended up being my favorite dish of the night. Absolutely worth the hype. We also ordered the birria short rib and hickory smoked picanha, and both were solid choices. The shrimp and corn grits were amazing, and I really loved the aged cheddar mac and cheese. Other dishes like the chickpea croquettes and the chili relleno were also pretty good and rounded out the meal nicely. The wait staff was fantastic. Super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The restaurant itself has a cool, lively vibe. The only minor downside was that the outdoor heaters were a bit too hot, but that's a very small nitpick. Overall, an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Great food, great service, and a place I'd happily come back to.

By now, average foodies have experienced what Culinary Dropout is all about and yet I humbly and honestly admit the fact that I was a virgin until I for the first time experienced it today on July 16, 2026. In a way, it was like celebrating a super belated birthday of someone I know. This Denver location is rightfully located in this one of the newly developed residential areas that used to be a desert (lol!!) With a blink of an eye, all sorts of businesses popped up within the last 5-10 years or so. First and foremost, what a spacious restaurant this is! Very modern with some casual sense but upscale at the same time. All 5 of us were taken all the way back to the u-shaped booths that is at the "Converse sneaker" decorated wall near the restrooms. Our waiter was John. His impeccable friendliness with expert-level server skills was quite notable. His timeliness in giving us a moment or two so we could decide what to drink/eat, checking back on us to see how everything was tasting etc. was almost AI-driven accuracy. For food and drinks, I am just going to speak just for myself. I got... -Vida Verdita which is a non-alcoholic cocktail that has a good amount of kick in it with pineapple with green appearance and -Roasted Salmon; the portion is a bit small and yet overall it tasted good with perfect medium-ness. Vida Verdita is one of the best NA drinks I've ever had in a while. This minimal consequence beverage is $9 as of mid-July 2026. If you want to steer clear of being drunk but want some energized push to get your night going then I highly recommend this NA drink. Roasted Salmon, on the other hand, was lacking exceptional quality for the price of $31. It wasn't bad as it was prepared in the perfect medium texture but I found it a bit boring so if spending $30+ on a mediocre plate is your pet peeve, then this "run of the mill" dish should be avoided. I feel that they should add more ingredients such as broccolini (yes, something green (not just some cilantro leaves) needs to be added to the plate.) In conclusion...did I walk away being super impressed after dining at Culinary Dropout Denver tonight? No, not really. And yet I wasn't disappointed either. Overall, my experience tonight sits somewhere between 3.5 and 4 star level. It was an occasion for our monthly "girls' get-together" and it's my understanding that we will meet at this place next month again. I will thus explore more on the menu by trying something different.
