    Smothered Breakfast Burrito

Old school diner with the nicest most attentive staff. I've always walked in on the weekends without a reservation, although it is always busy! The smothered breakfast burrito is my go to. It's looks smaller than it actually is, but it's quite filling! We always get a cinnamon roll to go- which is a must! Definitely warm it up later. The prices are very reasonable as well.

Don't let the rough exterior stop you have checking out this establishment. Prepare yourself for nothing fancy, but full time-warp back into the 1950s. Butcher block kept the authentic diner vibes, with the music, and esthetics. It's a seat yourself, eat and go kinda place. Expect there to be a wait at times, but they provide quick service. Food was very satisfying, nostalgic! And don't forget their homemade cinnamon roll, it's what they are known for.

All best recommendations come from Reddit, right? Well that's how I heard about this amazing cafe. A mom & pop cafe with home cooking and attentive staff made me feel like I was back in the good ol' days! I can't recommend the cinnamon roll enough. It's definitely one of the better c-rolls I've ever had. Pair that with its low price point and it is a MUST ORDER! The Chicken Fried Steak with brown gravy is as advertised, it didn't blow me away, but it did satiate my appetite. And again, paired with its relatively low price point I was a happy lil eater. If you're in the area of a Butcher Block Cafe trust Reddit, or me, and go!

This place is a hidden gem and amazing breakfast place that gives you that diner experience. Very friendly staff and the food is quickly served but taste amazing. The cinnamon roll is seriously the best and is a must. Seating can get tight on the weekends so get here early. You won't be disappointed.

The cinnamon roll was the best I've had in Denver and I am a cinnamon roll lover. The rest of the food was solid especially the smothered burrito. The service was great and the old diner feel is cozy.

Quick service!! Placed an order for pick up during lunch hour and my order was ready in less than 10min. I ordered the smothered breakfast burrito and a home made cinnamon roll! They were both delicious.

Fast and friendly staff. Great greasy spoon spot. I had to stop by once I heard they have been open for more than 50 years. I ordered the smothered burrito, which I chose the green chile gravy. I was not expecting my burrito to have whole pieces of bacon and sausage link in it, but this was a good surprise. I would come back here every time I visit Denver.

I fell for an Instagram post showing fresh cinnamon rolls and 24/7 service, but the reality was disappointing. The cinnamon rolls were reheated in a microwave and not freshly made. Even worse, the staff were very unprofessional talking negatively about a coworker while I was the only customer there. My food order wasn't prepared fresh either; it looked like it was just scraped from the griddle. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend it.

DANG! Was at the RINO County Club and saw this place advertising homemade Cinnamon Rolls! Wow! These guys are big and easily one if the best the four in our group have had. The lady at the counter gave amazing service and was very friendly. We did not eat a meal here, but looking at some of the others there eating, it all looked good and smelled good.

Stopped by on Saturday for a late breakfast. The parking lot is small but plenty of street parking. We were able to get a table right away. We had to try their cinnamon roll and it did not disappoint. It was soft, warm and gooey. Im already wanting to go back. Their french toast is classic and the one slice, egg & bacon is the perfect size dish with the cinnamon roll.

If you love breakfast food, this spot is a must-try! The food is always consistent, the prices are affordable, and the servers are incredibly friendly. It feels like stepping back in time, not your trendy brunch spot, but the kind of place that serves all your go-to breakfast classics just right. It's a seat-yourself setup, first come, first served, which adds to the cozy, hometown feel. Think of it as a family-owned, elevated version of Waffle House. Parking is limited to a small lot, but there's free street parking and additional spots across the street at the RTD lot.

I am still dreaming and drooling over the homemade cinnamon roll. That was sooo delicious with the glaze over it and yummy cinnamon-ness!! It was very filling but also hard to stop eating ;0) My husband ordered the hash browns with green chili sauce, pancakes, and toast and it was all good too! The hostess was very nice and helpful. It has a cute ambiance with a diner feel and welcoming atmosphere.

Went to "Butcher Block Cafe" in early May 2026 and they didn't disappoint. The cinnamon roll is a delicious as all the other reviews say. I also liked their smothered breakfast burrito which was the perfect amount of food for the price. I got the burrito, cinnamon roll and iced tea for under $20 with tip. Will be coming back!

My friend and I sat at the bar and had such a fun night. The ricotta agnolotti was easily my favorite dish. It was a 10/10. We also got the French onion tartlet, which I loved. If you like caramelized onions, you have to order it. It was sweet and savory and almost tasted like an onion dessert (in the best way possible). The bread and butter was also delish. There were only two dishes I wasn't crazy about, but that was definitely more of a personal preference on my end. One was an artichoke dish where you ate the whole artichoke. I realized I just don't love that texture. The other was a tuna tartare with cheese. The combination wasn't really for me, and the tuna was a little fishier than I prefer. My friend loved both, though. I also love that the menu is seasonal, so there's always a reason to come back. Overall, this is an easy five stars, and I can't wait to come back and try more!!!

It's nestled right off Wewatta catty corner to Union Station and not too far from the Whole Foods. We walk in and it's pretty quiet. There's probably only a couple people sitting at the bar, but the restaurant is extremely clean very nice looking and we were greeted immediately by Emily when we came in. Our service was absolutely amazing. I honestly couldn't have asked for better. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap granite. I wanted blue cheese crumbles in it even though I didn't get it because they don't have it. They have regular blue cheese. The wrap was still very delicious. There was plenty of chicken. It was flavorful and the french fries are so unique. The first time I've ever had a thick cut curly fry in the unique way that they cut theirs so that was nice. My friend got a biscuit and gravy hangover dish that he absolutely loved and it had three biscuits under it with a layer of gravy and what not on top and he truly raved about it and it revived him from his long night with this restaurant being connected to hotel, indigo I honestly didn't expect much, but surprisingly the prices were not terrible for the location and it being a hotel restaurant so it's definitely something I want to come back to you and maybe even check out the happy hour.
