Fast and friendly staff. Great greasy spoon spot. I had to stop by once I heard they have been open for more than 50 years. I ordered the smothered burrito, which I chose the green chile gravy. I was not expecting my burrito to have whole pieces of bacon and sausage link in it, but this was a good surprise. I would come back here every time I visit Denver.

Don't let the rough exterior stop you have checking out this establishment. Prepare yourself for nothing fancy, but full time-warp back into the 1950s. Butcher block kept the authentic diner vibes, with the music, and esthetics. It's a seat yourself, eat and go kinda place. Expect there to be a wait at times, but they provide quick service. Food was very satisfying, nostalgic! And don't forget their homemade cinnamon roll, it's what they are known for.

This place is a hidden gem and amazing breakfast place that gives you that diner experience. Very friendly staff and the food is quickly served but taste amazing. The cinnamon roll is seriously the best and is a must. Seating can get tight on the weekends so get here early. You won't be disappointed.

The cinnamon roll was the best I've had in Denver and I am a cinnamon roll lover. The rest of the food was solid especially the smothered burrito. The service was great and the old diner feel is cozy.

Went to "Butcher Block Cafe" in early May 2026 and they didn't disappoint. The cinnamon roll is a delicious as all the other reviews say. I also liked their smothered breakfast burrito which was the perfect amount of food for the price. I got the burrito, cinnamon roll and iced tea for under $20 with tip. Will be coming back!

Quick service!! Placed an order for pick up during lunch hour and my order was ready in less than 10min. I ordered the smothered breakfast burrito and a home made cinnamon roll! They were both delicious.

DANG! Was at the RINO County Club and saw this place advertising homemade Cinnamon Rolls! Wow! These guys are big and easily one if the best the four in our group have had. The lady at the counter gave amazing service and was very friendly. We did not eat a meal here, but looking at some of the others there eating, it all looked good and smelled good.

Stopped by on Saturday for a late breakfast. The parking lot is small but plenty of street parking. We were able to get a table right away. We had to try their cinnamon roll and it did not disappoint. It was soft, warm and gooey. Im already wanting to go back. Their french toast is classic and the one slice, egg & bacon is the perfect size dish with the cinnamon roll.

If you love breakfast food, this spot is a must-try! The food is always consistent, the prices are affordable, and the servers are incredibly friendly. It feels like stepping back in time, not your trendy brunch spot, but the kind of place that serves all your go-to breakfast classics just right. It's a seat-yourself setup, first come, first served, which adds to the cozy, hometown feel. Think of it as a family-owned, elevated version of Waffle House. Parking is limited to a small lot, but there's free street parking and additional spots across the street at the RTD lot.

I am still dreaming and drooling over the homemade cinnamon roll. That was sooo delicious with the glaze over it and yummy cinnamon-ness!! It was very filling but also hard to stop eating ;0) My husband ordered the hash browns with green chili sauce, pancakes, and toast and it was all good too! The hostess was very nice and helpful. It has a cute ambiance with a diner feel and welcoming atmosphere.

Ashley was fantastic! Earlier in the day we stopped off to drop off our luggage. Yes you read right. They have a service called Luggage Hero (yes they were our hero!). We dropped off our luggage for a small fee & we were able to enjoy walking around town. We came back later in the evening to pick up our luggage & decided to have one of their homemade cinnamon rolls (family owned recipe). It was absolutely delicious! It was eaten faster than remembering to take a photo! Lol. We already ate dinner otherwise this diner looks like they would "deliver!" The menu looks great & the prices are even better. Thanks Team Butcher Block Cafe! We will be back!

I fell for an Instagram post showing fresh cinnamon rolls and 24/7 service, but the reality was disappointing. The cinnamon rolls were reheated in a microwave and not freshly made. Even worse, the staff were very unprofessional talking negatively about a coworker while I was the only customer there. My food order wasn't prepared fresh either; it looked like it was just scraped from the griddle. Unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend it.

Such a delightful gem to drop into for not only the delicious food, but the atmosphere

The second they were ready to take orders, the line almost wrapped around the block. And it was well worth the wait. The crew was cranking out food as soon as they were ready -- zero breaks, all hands on deck -- to keep the line moving. Even though they were moving quickly, the quality wasn't sacrificed. Food was cooked throughly and tenderness was locked in. I got the Sample Platter: which consisted of char sui wings, sweet garlic pork spare ribs, sweet garlic chicken thighs and two sides (fried rice and pickled veggies). As a Cambodian American, this took me straight to my momma's cookout and to Cambodia's grilled meat street foods and restaurant. The full size chicken wings brought all the familiarity. Along with the tasty succulent chicken thighs, because we really don't do chicken breasts. And my all time favorite is Cambodian ribs -- they nailed it! It was so good I ordered a ton more to take home. I will definitely be making many trips in the future to their physical location. And keep an eye out for any event they'll be vending.

We ordered the beef skewers, fries, fried noodles with veggies and shrimp, chicken numpang, beef, crab rangoons. The food was priced very very reasonably and everything we had was really delicious and authentic Cambodian food. The chicken skewers and beef were marinaded well and had a great flavor to them. The fries and crab Rangoons were generous and spiced well. The chicken numpang was unique, though not the sandwich we were expecting. Overall, the food was delicious and the owner very kind, putting in a lot of care in the food that he prepares and knowledge about the sourced ingredients. He has a good heart and cares about good food and community. Definitely give this place a try!

I had a great experience with my girls here. I don't think there was anything that I didn't enjoy!…read more We started with Bread and ButterBear, Burrata, Seremoni Rockfish Crudo, Waygu TarTare. We then had the Crab Tagliatelle, Ricotta Agnolotti and Lamb Shank. For dessert, we had the Carolina Gold Rice Pudding and BearPop. The ButterBear was super cute and tasty. The bread was super soft! The Burrata was surprising with the chili crunch. It paired really well! The crudo was tasty as was the tartare. I really enjoyed the crispy Cheddar Crisps. The tangy, salty cheese from the crisp cut the fat from the tartare well. The pastas were both good. I could probably have eaten an entire serving of the Crab Tagliatelle myself, haha. I thought it was really yummy. I think my favorite part of the meal was dessert. The Rice Pudding was so good! The coconut milk, the miso caramel popped sorghum, and the rhubarb compote were such a lovely combination on the rice pudding. I want to go back just for that dessert! The BearPop was also delightfully refreshing! The passionfruit paired super well with the Black Garlic Salsa Macha. Sweet and salty is timeless. Service was wonderful! I would definitely come back!
