I've given this place several chances over the past three months, and unfortunately, I've been disappointed each time. I'm very particular about my nails, but I also try to be respectful and considerate of the nail technicians and their time. I always explain what I'm looking for, but the final result has repeatedly been mediocre and not worth what I'm paying. My nails usually end up looking just okay, and I leave feeling disappointed rather than happy with the service. The nail technicians themselves have generally been friendly. However, the experience at the front desk is a different story. The girls checking you in are not very welcoming or polite and can come across as having an attitude. I believe one of them was named Shayla, along with an older brunette woman who was also working at the front. Neither made me feel particularly welcomed from the moment I walked in, which immediately starts the appointment off on the wrong note. I've tried this salon three separate times this year because I wanted to give them a fair chance, but after three disappointing experiences, I'm done. For the quality of the nails and the overall customer service experience, it simply isn't worth it. I would not come back or recommend this place. If you're looking for consistently good nails and a welcoming experience from the moment you walk in, I would suggest going somewhere else. read more

I am extremely conflicted about my experience, but that's because every nail tech is different! I got a gel pedi & gel manicure, both their standard ones. The environment seemed clean but everything was very rushed. The person doing my pedicure was great and she did a fantastic job. I wish I would have grabbed her name! The person doing my fingernails however was not so great, Hannah. I would avoid for the simple fact that she completely wrecked my fingers. The gel and shaping of my nails was fine - not bad, not great. She used the drill all around my nail beds, taking off my skin and making me bleed. I walked out of there bleeding! When this happens, for me, it hurts for days like a paper cut. Might be back in the future for someone else, but for sure recommend not using Hannah. read more

OMG. So last time I was in December. After being busy as a therapist at rehabs I finally booked an appointment at this amazing place because I have heard of their RENOVATION. I loved their new chairs and Yen took the best care of my hands. Manicure was done professionally. Abby was so gentle and kind with my sensitive feet. But the best of all was the treatment from the minute I opened the door. Nadia accommodated at its best she booked the appointment at my convenience and helped me to find parking. No one does that. I want to start with this review is about my nails to an extent - nails grow back! Not the end of the world! My issue is more so that I raised the issue with my nails 3 times with the girl(s) at the front desk .. on all separate occasions not one person cared to help. 8/22 I got a gel mani + a regular pedi. This day in particular, the tech did not soak off my previous gel but used the drill only.. I trust the techs so I didn't say anything even after I could feel this burning sensation on my nails. I went home and found that, because she drilled so hard, my nails were bending.. I couldn't wash my hair, open up a can of soda, button pants, etc. without feeling like my nails would break.. my thoughts were, lets wait it out and see if my nails get any better before my next appointment. 9/4 A few days before 9/4 I called the salon to make an appointment. Explain everything that had happened. The girl I spoke to on the phone spent some time with me figuring out who it was that did my nails, she then tells me "lets take a look at your nails when you get here." Before we get into it -- I was getting ***MARRIED*** on 9/6 so I really needed help to avoid breaking on my wedding day. When I got there (same girl I spoke to on the phone), kind of brushes me off AFTER I SHOW HER MY BENDING NAILS and says the new tech will advise what I should do to fix it -- The new tech says he can tell that they messed up my nail beds and he suggested gel extensions to avoid any breakage. I say ok no problem I need to look my best lets do it. Finish my appointment and go up to pay.. I tell her what he said and she doesn't offer a discount. Charges me full cost. 10/6 Now back from my honeymoon, I came in today to re-address the issue and get my nails done. The responses were "I don't remember.." "You didn't speak to me" -- Yes, yes I did. "I see so many people a day". "if you want to take off gel extensions then you have to pay for it." So I said "Ok, thank you" and left. I have been coming to Butter Salon for about 4ish years. Believe me when I say, I get it.. I know they are busy. I know mistakes happen. I pay full price + tip well each visit even if I see a small flaw with my nails. However, I can't come back if I'm not even offered a measly $5 discount for the damage done on their end. read more

First of all, someone came to me and started the manicure but within maybe 5-6 mins, she said oh my other client got here and just left so i had to wait for a good 20-25 minutes for someone else. Next person was very clearly on rush and just wanted to finish, when i asked for a bit shorter nails, he started arguing that short isn't nice etc, he also insisted no need to clean my cuticles. My nails always look natural and stay for 3-4 weeks. She always accomodates my last minute appointment requests. The salon itself is always clean, updated and great ambiance. I had the most disappointing experience at this nail salon, and I would not recommend it to anyone. From the moment I walked in, I felt rushed through my appointment. The technician let me know halfway through that she wouldn't have time to finish the service I had originally requested. She then told me not to worry, as she wouldn't charge me for the incomplete service--which was hardly comforting considering I came in for a relaxing, pampering experience, not to be rushed through it. To make matters worse, she tried to upsell me on a package for my feet while she was chatting with the pedicure technician. However, she completely forgot to relay that I wanted callus removal. I didn't realize this until I got home, and when I realized the mistake, I went back the next day, ready to pay for the callus removal I had missed. Instead, they charged me full price for it, even though it was their mistake. I mentioned this, but they still insisted on charging me the full amount. As if that wasn't enough, less than a week later, one of my gel nails ripped off while I was driving. At that point, I was fed up and called the salon. The owner called me back and promised to watch a video of my visit but suggested I come in for the third time to fix my nail and that she'd refund me five dollars. But after that, she never followed up and took days to respond, saying she had been busy with "Oscar week." When I told her I just wanted the proper manicure I had paid for, she finally responded four days later and said she would do nothing for me, as it had been too long. This place doesn't offer the pampering experience it promises--it only gives you stress and frustration. The service is rushed, overpriced, and the owner has shown a complete lack of professionalism and understanding for long-time clients. I've lived in the area for 12 years, and I will not be returning. Save your time and money and go to DIAMOND Nails instead! I'm incredibly disappointed in this place. read more
