I love coming here. This nail shop standouts. Every stylist/ tech is sooooo professional. The quality of my nails are amazing. They even care about the health of my nails, especially during removal. I enjoyed coming here because Nail nation treats everyone like they are a celebrity. We are a celebrity when we are in their chair. The owners are soooo down to earth and I enjoy the laughters every time I come in. THey also offer you water which is always a plus!! Stay hydrated . (When I cheat on them.... They do good work but they're not willing to help if you want to branch out and try something new. I've been coming here for years and have always been happy with a standard mani/pedi + quick waxing service which is a plus. I recently wanted to try something new (chrome, literally just chrome), was told no, was asked what color chrome without being shown their options, and was honestly just made to feel bad and feel like an inconvenience for not knowing what chrome option I wanted or how exactly it worked. It was humiliating and embarrassing the way I had to fight and go back and forth with them without anyone being willing to look at my inspiration photo or give me a recommendation, so I personally won't be returning because of how I was made to feel over a simple ask. TLDR: they do solid work, but you need to know what you want and how to achieve it. Not the place for client education or working together to achieve your nail goals. Come prepared, and maybe they'll be able to keep your business, unlike mine. read more

I got my nails done for the first time here at the beginning of September, and still almost a month later my Gel X nails look AMAZING!! They are so kind and detail oriented, my nails seriously have never looked this good. I have terrible experiences with Gel X as they always lift or fall off, and none of my nails have lifted. the price is amazing, the color selection is huge, and the salon is clean and great! read more

Big fan of the salon. I've been going here to see Vycktor and especially Michelle for the last 10 years surprised I've never thought to give it a yelp review!. Their prices have stayed true with the post Covid increase at all nail salons so they're considered pretty equal to all as far as Price is concerned. They do a really lovely chill and they have different designs they can do on your nails. This is a very good foundation nail salon. I asked for a cat eye manicure and instead got see through sparkles. Ugliest manicure of my life. I was rushed through the process (he'd grab and cover my hand between steps so I literally couldn't see the progress) so I didn't get to look at the nails before he finished. Michellle is simply the best she totally did my design the way I wanted it and she added a twist to it to make it my very own. I really hate to leave a bad review, but I'm in so much pain & just needed to share this with any potential clients. While my hard gel + cat eye manicure turned out lovely by Victor, my pedicure has left me feeling butchered and in so much pain. I've never had this experience before. The pedicurist (I think her name was Lily) clipped huge chunks of flesh & skin from each of my big toes + performed a very messy and below average pedicure. I can barely walk due to the discomfort. No acknowledgement or apology for the huge cuts she made, but she did apply neosporin per my request. This was my first time here, but unfortunately I cannot return. read more

Nail nation is a great place to go and get Manny - Petty's, a variety of different kinds of nails that you can get from high tech to just your regular style. Every time I go in there, not only am I satisfied, but I see so many other different kinds of styles of nails. I'm so happy with what I get. I never change up my polish. I'm stuck on what great colors they have as well and I'm always getting waxings as well. And they always have good music on too. And location is super easy to find. It's right on Melrose. And for all you gentlemen out there every time I go in, there's always men they're getting pedicures. Everybody deserves to pamper themselves best nails and pedicure I've had since I've moved to LA 10 years ago and I'm still going. read more

This place is absolutely horrible. Attached is a picture of my nails after 3 days. They grinded my natural nails, which were previously nice and strong, down to paper thinness. The place I usually go, they file the nail gently, and don't destroy my nails. This place grinded my nails down with the sanding machine till they were sore. Then they put dip polish on top, but my natural nail was no longer strong enough to support it. While the technician was doing my nails, I told her repeatedly that she was making my nails way too thin and weak. I asked if she could stop grinding them with the machine, and maybe just use a file. She refused. She said they were OK. My nails became super weak, so they bent backwards and broke starting at day 3. The polish also chipped very easily. In my opinion, this place has never done great work, they were just one of the few places open late if I had an emergency. As a result, I've come here sporadically for five years... This leads me to the second issue. In the five years that I've come here occasionally, I've never once complained about anything. When I told them that my nails chipped after 2 to 3 days, the technician was so rude, and literally accused me of damaging my own nails on purpose. Like, why?? I guess she thinks I just like to hang out in nail shops lol. They've always been rude and not customer service centered at this place. But I put up with it, as I didn't have any particular issue before now. Like I said, I've never loved the work, but it's never damaged this quickly. Now, bad work combined with bad attitudes are a complete NO for me I paid them $65 plus a tip to do the dip polish. So for $75, I had my nails done all of three days before they started chipping and breaking. They don't stand behind their work. And then they insult you for coming back to inform them. Not cool. And BTW, I've done nothing strenuous with my hands. At other places I usually get 2-3 weeks out of my nails. read more

The manicurist Michelle was extremely patient with getting the hard gel off without ruining my actual nail bed (incredibly important and if they file to much you'll be in a lot pain) They have a huge selection if polish's as well as designs! I was so excited to get home to do this. I've been in LA for 4 years I have tried some of the most hyped nail places with beautiful esthetics and wine but work was terrible. I am now a proud customer and member of nail nation SNOW & LEELEE treated me like a man that I am today as a 6'4" big guy I was not gently and fast worked they took there time and used extra muscle to do what needed to be done. Feet so soft and beautiful that I got color lol that's how beautiful snow made them my hands have never looked so soft and gentle my cuticle is cleaned all the way back how I like it and man I'm just grateful highly recommend this place (but not on the days I go tho) because I need my tender love and care each time lol) jk please go and tell them I sent you. I just went in for a fill on an overlay and was charged $60 for this. Every time Ive been here a fill has costed no more than 35. I was not told about the price increase at any point in the service. This is nearly double the price and the reasoning was bc a few of my nails were like having to do a new set. Even a full set with simple polish shouldn't cost $60. A fill was done on my overlay and I was charged for a new set that I didn't get. I feel taken advantage of and angry. I will never come back here. read more

I love it here I get nails lashes they customize everything to my picky ass and I can text for appts they are family friendly! I found them when I lived a block away- Now I live in studio city and still drive here! This is definitely not what I'd expect from a "Melrose" nail salon- it's not just one off appt clientele. Before our visit, I called and spoke with Carla, who was incredibly patient and helpful. When we arrived, Samantha checked us in and happened to overhear my husband mention to me that he's always wanted to try red light therapy. She immediately offered us both a complimentary 10-minute session. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and only the beginning of how special everyone made our day feel!! My husband had his massage with Nadia and said he has never felt better after a massage. She appreciated his direction and tailored the entire tx to exactly what his body needed rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. He cannot stop talking about how amazing he feels!! I had my cucumber and honey body cocktail with Melissa, and she was an absolute angel. She was so warm and sweet, and the tx itself was incredible!!! From the moment she introduced herself I could tell she's not only exceptional at what she does, but genuinely cares about creating a wonderful experience. When I mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding, she completely surprised us by arranging a complimentary 45-minute couples Moroccan bath after our individual treatments. Blanca, the bath attendant, had everything beautifully set up for us in a private room with ambient red lighting, two huge tubs filled with essential oils and jets, full glasses of champagne, tea, and snacks. It was romantic, luxurious, and so so thoughtful. Just the perfect way to relax together and *soak* in this new chapter of our lives. Every single person we interacted with made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The experience starts with a 15 min foot soak/massage, and that already was divine. The masseuse puts the perfect amount of pressure, and that combined with the warm water, almost put me to sleep, haha. For the body massage part, the masseuse asks you what parts you want focused on and how much pressure you would like. They are also really good at checking in at various parts of the massage to make sure you are completely satisfied. My day started with being shown where the changing/locker room is, what to do next and where the lounge area is. There are waters and cups and plenty of seating to choose from while you wait. The fireplace really elevates the lounge. Lana did my CBD oil massage. She was very kind and made sure I was comfortable. I'm not experienced with massages so I had a bit of trouble letting go control of my arm at one point, but she reminded me to relax. Afterward she brought me a drink which is probably normal for them but it was really nice lol. Again I'm not a seasoned spa goer. I really enjoyed the massage though. Next I tried out the sauna for a few minutes which was clean and very relaxing. Up next was my copper bath. When I stepped inside, I felt like royalty because it's set up so pretty with candles and flowers, it's a really nice tub with jets as well. I didn't want that to end haha. Next came my clarifying facial with Arely. This consisted of chemical exfoliation, extractions, an LED mask and a peel. She massaged me a bit as well which was nice. I wasn't sure if the extraction process did anything however because she applied no pressure to extract, it felt like just tapping on areas of my face but it's not a big deal. I can extract at home. The rest was relaxing! I finished the day off with Danielle, who was absolutely phenomenal. She told me exactly what we're doing and made me feel comfortable. First was the scrub, then she got a shower ready for me to rinse off and then brought me fresh water for after. Next came the body melt which smelled fantastic and felt really moisturizing. Danielle went out of her way to even give me a scalp massage and she sent me home with some of the body melt she used. I finished my day feeling at peace, soft and in a great mood. I do think I accidentally left my socks in my robe pocket but it's ok. No pictures because this was a total unplug day for me. No devices, no social media, just being present in the moment. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

I used to go here because it was somewhat close to home and they carried the products I like which isn't always easy to find. I never liked how I was treated, but it was tolerable. They were just VERY cold, bossy and always seemed like they hated their job. After about 8 months of going here consistently every other week getting a gel polish fill and gel pedicure costing me over $80 every time .. I felt they were never grateful for my business. My last straw was when I went in and they didn't seem too busy, one of the women asked me what I needed told me to pick a color etc, had me sit down at the chair to get my nails done (not the waiting chair) and told me it would be about 15 minutes. After about 20 minutes, I looked around and even made eye contact with the owner looking confused but staying patient .. I noticed 2 customers walked in and got started on right away which I assumed just have been appointments and I was a walk in.. but when the third one walked in and asked if they take walk ins then they had her sit to get started after I had been waiting 45 minutes at this point, I finally spoke up and asked why they were taking other walk ins before me.. the owner said oh sorry I didn't know you were waiting. Turns out they don't even take appointments so they had taken 3 customers!!!!! without even checking in on me or asking me what I was waiting for. They knew very well why I was there as they had what I get done to my nails memorized-- surely they recognize me and know I've been sitting waiting for a long time. the owner told me I would have to come back tomorrow because they sat that 3rd customer down and wouldn't have time to do mine before closing. I said I have been a loyal customer here for almost a year and was told to sit and wait, which I have very patiently for now 45 minutes and now you're taking her (who hadn't been started on just yet) and telling me, your loyal customer, to go home and come back tomorrow after you just wasted 45 minutes of my day?! And he said yes and started speaking in another language clearly talking about me. I left quietly and honestly wanted to just break down and cry. I could tell all the customers in there that had noticed me waiting and being told to Come back tomorrow, all seemed completely shocked by how they treated me. I haven't been back since. I still am speechless as i really have been an easy easy customer. I come, I sit in silence, I pay and tip and I leave... I still am so completely confused as to why on earth I deserved that kind of treatment. read more

Victor and Michelle changed the prices on me and he said it was 15 for a pedicure but charge me 20 and then made me wait one hour and 50 minutes to get a full set which I never got because it took too long there was another lady there and they were taking their precious time so they don't do my own nails and then when I asked him what was the matter with this he told me off and mumbled something under his breath to me I will never come back they are full of excuses the worst nail salon it's so ugly and dirty very run down read more

I have been going here for a year now and it has steadily declined, and today was the last straw. The only people that do a decent job here are Michelle and the two men (one young man). I just had a pedicure done by and older woman and more of my skin was painted than my actual nail. The girl who did my nails had to repaint them and still they were still awful. The pedicure was over in 10 min TOPS no massage, nothing. Never going back and I definitely would not recommend. read more

It was all dry manicure and pedicure, but the lady was very gentle with the tools. I am looking forward to coming back to the salon again.

I asked for a custom, gel mani and they said, no problem (they have alllll the goodies for designs)!! Finished my manicure by about 10:45am and did my gel pedicure by EXACTLY 11:16am. I was blown away by the incredibly kind service and amazing execution. Obsessed with them, I wish I didn't live 50 miles away.

The lady that did my nails made sure that I was comfortable the entire time once she realized I normally don't get my nails done. My girl was also just in her zone walking me through the steps so nothing caught me off guard. If you're a dude looking to pamper yourself combo 1 with no polish is a solid pick.
