All the offerings are what you'd expect, from the offerings to the taste to the atmosphere. I got a turkey sausage, feta, and green pepper omelette. It hit the spot! Our other orders included a ham and Swiss omelette, and the patchwork quilt (juice, bacon, eggs, sausage, and pancakes). Again, all was good. Nothing epic enough to blow your mind, but the kind of goodness that'll keep you coming back when you're in the mood for southern cooking. The roommate had a flat tire at 4 am and while waiting for the tow truck we decided to grab breakfast at Butterfields. After getting our beverages the tow company called and said they would be there in a few mins , so we were forced to abandon our drinks and go. The waitress, a very sweet lady refused to charge us for the drinks and off we went. I dropped him at his car and made my way back to the restaurant to enjoy breakfast. The same lovely lady was there and took very good care of me. She didn't even wanna charge me , but of course I couldn't allow that, so when she walked away I dropped a 20 on the table and left. Service is INCREDIBLE! When me and my large party arrived, they instantly made sure we were at a table . Food came out fast and hot. Just a bite is all it takes to transport you to the wonderful word of flavor. I got the sweet tea, which was a bit on the overly sweet side. Super slow service. Food had no flavor. Fries weren't even hot. The kind man bussing tables had to get me silverware because our server disappeared for quite a while.... Meanwhile my food was barely warm. She later came out to let me know that it's her fist day... I guess she also learned how to walk that same day. Lol. I've come here twice now, and both times Butterfield's has revealed themselves as a nice family-style restaurant, serving great breakfast and other meals. Nestled in the plaza on the northwest corner of Okeechobee and Royal Palm Beach Boulevards, the establishment offers a great array of the former meal entrees. Personally, I haven't tried their lunch or dinner entrees, as they have been a breakfast spot for me, but they do deliver. For my money, The Rocking Chair is class and filling, serving first a biscuit and gravy in a cup before a plate of smoked pork chop (or sausage if you prefer), grits, hash brown casserole, eggs how you want them, which I enjoyed with a side of bacon. Additionally, I've noshed on their croissant sandwich with scrambled eggs, bacon, and American cheese. Both are great options, especially, if you enjoy pork as I do. read more

I had the pleasure of stopping here for breakfast yesterday and it was awesome!! I had eggs, sausage, a bowl of grits a huge biscuit along with two very large pancakes! And when I say pancakes, they were like cakes, about an inch thick! There was no way I was going to eat all that! So I ate as much as I could and the rest went home with me. They also have a great menu for lunch and dinner. It was clean and the service was good for the time of day I was there. They got busy but the service didn't suffer. This address also goes by the name "The French toastery" on Uber Eats. I put an order in and 20 minutes later it was cancelled for no reason. I couldn't call because there is no information about the French Toastery on Google or any other information, anywhere. I had to check the address and the address is the same as Butterfield's. I have no idea what they are doing using a different name, and I have no idea why they would cancel the order 20 minutes after I ordered. They weren't set to close for another 30 minutes after the order was cancelled. I won't be ordering again because none of this makes any sense. read more

We went for Sunday brunch and assumed they had mimosas since they serve beer and wine, that's on us for not checking because they do not serve mimosas. Had the skillet breakfast and it wasn't anything special. It was as if they just lumped the pre cooked ingredients together and then added cheese and the egg. It was just okay. Hubby had ham which was very good and the best part of the meal. It came with hash brown casserole which was cold. Not like it wasn't served right away but cold, like it was sitting out after being in the refrigerator overnight instead of freshly cooked. Had to send it back to get nuked. Ordered Biscuits and gravy with gravy on the side and this was also cold. Didn't bother sending it back to be heated. The server was attentive and the coffee was good. It was my 1st time there last Tuesday morning for my Executive Palm Beach Chamber meeting. Pleasantly surprised it was a very cozy homey feeling and had a wonderful smell of waffles and pancakes when you walked in. There were about 30 of us, and the server was calm cool collective and didn't have to write anything down. What I received was the SMALLEST order of hash and eggs ever. $13 for 2 eggs tiny bit of hash and 13 little pieces it home fries. We've lived in the areas for about 8 years and I'm ashamed to say that this was our first time visiting this little gem. From the minute we walked through the door, I knew this would be our "breakfast spot" from here on. It was about 9:30 am when we arrived. My youngest had a chocolate milk, my oldest had a sweet tea, hubby had a coke and of course, I had coffee. We had the patchwork quilt breakfast which included a small juice, 2 pancakes (best best pancakes I've ever had, large in size as well), 2 eggs (any style), 2 sausages, 2 bacon pieces and 2 pieces of toast. My little one had a chocolate chip pancake, scrambled eggs and bacon. It was a lot of food...super delicious too. We had a great time and to be honest can't wait to come back again. I'm already day dreaming about the banana and brown sugar french toasts I will be having next time. Highly recommend you stop by if you've not done so already!
