Following up from my last thai review, I wanted to continue my urge of eating take out thai while cuddling with a soft blankey. I wasn't satisfied with my last thai purchase so I was looking for a new place to eat. That's how I found buzz thai eatery. We got the drunken noodles, pad siew, and basil thai fried rice. I started with the basil thai fried rice. Oh my god. This was BANGER. Soooo amazing. The rice was just the perfect amount of spice. Each bite had SO MUCH FLAVOR. This was the best basil thai fried rice I ever had. As I was eating I couldn't think of anything else; I was fully immersed in the food. Oh my god I wish I could empty my stomach and eat it again. It was that good. That being said, I think the basil thai fried rice was so good that it made everything else taste bad. Unfortunately. The drunken noodles tasted so bland. I was struggling to eat it. As I took bites of it I wish I had more bites of the thai fried rice. The pad siew had a similar feeling too. On top of that it had too many broccolis which I am not a fan of. If I hadn't had the thai fried rice to start of with then maybe these two dishes would have been better. Overall I give this place a 7/10. The drunken noodles and pad siew were mediocre at best. Maybe it was cause of the fried rice but that was my impression. The thai basil fried rice was AMAZING. This is the only reason why this place isn't rated low. I am definitely coming back just for the thai basil fried rice. read more

Haven't tried their Thai food, but their authentic Mongolian food hits the spot. Mongolian beef who? Get some buuz and huushuur with milk tea. The Mongolian milk tea is more savory and while they seem to also offer milk bubble tea, I personally prefer the Mongolian tea. Ask for the Mongolian menu specifically! read more

Came here mainly to try the basil chicken wings. I thought they were really good, flavorful, spicy. The sauce was similar if not the same as the drunken noodle sauce so would suggest ordering maybe a curry or fried rice with these wings or just a side of rice because there's so much sauce (I thought it was going to be a drier/crispy wing). This place is a delicious rip off. drunken noodles were very authentic and flavorful. however, observe the portion sizes of the dish and thai ice tea. it came packed into a little ball served on this oversized plate as if it this place was some Michelin star restaurant. i don't want a big plate, i want big portions, or at least adequate portions. i finished the noodles in under ten bites. the iced tea was also filled to the brim with ice on an already narrow glass. go to sawatdee instead of this place, it's just as tasty with triple the portion size. read more

Delivery did take 2 hours, but it was a busy Saturday night and the staff was kind when we asked about our food. Food arrived hot. Serving size was a single serving, but I've definitely had much larger servings of noodles. Tasty Pad Thai, but definitely not the best I've had. It had more of a sour taste than savory or peanut-y. I will start off with the positive: I asked for extra spicy and it certainly delivered. My mouth was on fire for awhile after finishing my food. I also liked the peppers and string beans. Now to the negatives..... -I ordered delivery through Yelp (GrubHub I guess per the email) and it took over 90 minutes to receive my duck ka pow. I called the restaurant and they had my order and were also surprised it was taking so long. -Over half the duck meat went in the trash because it was pure fat and gristle. -Food arrived ice cold. Microwaving made the small portion of duck remaining very tough, so again, throw it away I did. -Woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible stomach ache and spent the next several hours in the bathroom. I did not appreciate the added stress on top of being 7 months pregnant. The two stars are for actually giving me extra spicy when that is what I asked for, but everything else was absolutely horrible. I would not recommend ordering takeout from here. Perhaps dine-in is better and would warrant an updated review. read more

I came to Buuz Thai with two friends, one of whom was running a little late. Upon entering we didn't see anyone at the front or behind the register, so my friend and I seated ourselves. It took a few minutes for someone to come out from the back and greet us, and we were given menus and water. The menu had a good number of options which was nice, and after looking through the menu I decided to get the crispy pork belly. Our food came out pretty soon after we ordered which I liked. I tried some of the pork belly and it tasted pretty good, but my friend and I decided to wait for our other friend to join us. It didn't take long for our friend to arrive, but in the short time we waited my food had dried out significantly. I didn't like this, as the pork had become tougher to bite into and much harder to chew. I've eaten pork cooked in a variety of ways and have never seen it dry out that quickly, which was disappointing. The taste was still good though, the garlic sauce was a nice addition to the pork and peppers. This was my first time at Buuz Thai, and honestly I had a very average experience. The service was a bit slow, but we were treated well. My food tasted good, but it dried out pretty quickly which made me enjoy it less. If someone suggested eating here, I wouldn't mind trying something else, but I wouldn't be excited to come back. read more

its been so long since ive been able to eat out! truly grateful for restaurants that are on uber eats was having a crazy craving for thai so what better way to satisfy than order from Buuz! as an appetizer we got the curry puffs which im still drooling just thinking about them! crunchy outside with a creamy and flavorful inside! if you are a texture eater this is for you. these puffs are the perfect snack and it came with 5! i ordered the pad siew and thought it was average, i asked for extra sauces on the side and didnt get any but i just wish it was spicier i didnt order the panang curry but we ended up trading meals because i fell in love with how this tasted! definitely everything you expect in a curry but what i liked most is that the curry itself was not watery! it was so delicious to sip on. the food arrived to my residence still warm, even after waiting almost 15 minutes to eat the food stayed warm! great comfort food, but i hope they start adding more spices to make a twist on their food. read more

I was totally surprised when my coworker recommended this place for Mongolian. I had ordered Thai takeout from here a few times when I lived in the area, and had no idea that they served Mongolian, which I've never had. We came in a group of 5 for dinner one night, happily letting our Mongolian coworker choose for us. We started off with Mongolian milk teas, which are known for being salty. Since I'm lactose intolerant, I only dared to take a couple sips...it was warm and slightly rich, and only carried a hint of salt. We had 4 dishes served family style: 1. The beef steamed dumplings are akin to Chinese dumplings, except that it did not come with any dipping sauces but rather a cabbage and carrot salad. 2. The beef flat fried dumplings came out piping hot and juicy. It was probably the size of a small hand and came in an order of 5. I've never had a dumpling quite like it...it reminded me somewhat of an empanada. 3. The beef egg fried noodle came out with a lot of "wok" aroma, which the Chinese in me loved! 4. Last was the beef vegetable noodle soup, which came with a side of mantou-like bread. It was deep and savory with melt in your mouth root veggies. As you may have noticed, Mongolian dishes are very beef dominant. I personally skew more towards fish and veggies. Good thing they also serve Thai! So if you're like me, you can visit Buuz more frequently and switch between their Mongolian and Thai! read more

I went here for the first time this Wednesday and I had a great experience!! The two owners, a woman and a younger guy, were both extremely hospitable and kind! The food was great too; everything was delicious and the prices were really reasonable. We ordered the larb gai and fried tofu for appetizers, and the pad thai and crispy fish filet with basil sauce. I highly recommend all of it, but especially the fish; it was super light and perfectly fried. During our meal, when I asked the guy what the other table was having (it looked really good), he told us that it was a fried flat dumpling from the Mongolian menu. He even brought out the menu to show us, which was really nice. We ended up ordering two milk teas, and it was a really nostalgic experience for my parents. Easily the best Thai food I found in the area! Inside is cute and spotless with the decor being super trendy and modern. They were having a promotion for free spring rolls with an order of takeout or dine-in and unfortunately I was so hungry I ate them before I could take a photo but they were really delicious. The order came with three spring rolls which were crispy and the sauce that you dunk them in was a wonderful mix between sweet and spicy which helped add a different element to the mix. I ordered the Thai fried rice with chicken and was pleasantly surprised with the portions given the amount paid. I love exploring thai food options - it's one of my favorite cuisines as it combines savory, sweet, and the flavor of flames in many of its dishes. Came here to eat lunch and sampled a few appetizers as well as the duck ka pao. The appetizers are well made for what you get. The dumplings were crispy with a nice note of fried garlic atop. The spring rolls, seemingly a simple dish, had a cold and well balanced crunchy filling that paired exquisitely with the hot crispy exterior. The duck ka pao (my main dish) wasn't bad either, it was my first time getting it in general. Portion size was good, my only complaint was that the breading was not very crunchy...maybe the meat wasn't fried at a high enough temperature. Nearly two hours for delivery when I ordered around 2 p.m. on a Friday - I lived down the street, not even a 5-minute drive. No one ever took the online order I came to find out when I called again... ZOLA took care of it by offering me a complimentary pad thai for my next order, though, so decent customer service ( I had to talk them through before they did this though...) Consistency is hit-or-miss. Some days I had the best pad thai I've ever had in my life and other days it was just average. Different cooks different recipes and ingredient proportions I guess? I have tried their fried dumplings too and they are to die for every single time, though! For all these reasons, I couldn't give them more than 3 stars. We tried a dish from the chef's specials section (Honey Cashew Chicken) and an old favorite, Chicken Pad See Ew. Nothing groundbreaking and not the best Thai food ever, but no complaints: both hit the spot, with high-quality meat and fresh flavorful veggies. Service was friendly and quick, with drinks always refilled and an offer to box up anything we wanted to go. And everything was reasonably priced. As others have mentioned, it's not huge so could fill up quickly. And it's hard to imagine a party larger than 6 guests would be able to fit. But don't let that dissuade you! read more

I randomly found this place, walking by one day and so glad I did! It seems to be a fusion restaurant with both Thai & Mongolian cuisine, but you wouldn't know that unless you look at both their menus. One of the menus has strictly Thai food, with your basic apps and noodle dishes, etc. But the other menu...has so many gems that are rare finds in this area. Now, I don't know why they don't serve both menus during the day but I was told, they serve the other menu during specific times of the day. Even so, I was able to try their Mongolian dumplings, which were simply delicious! I would also recommend their chicken satay and other various appetizers such as the fried tofu. My friends tried their Pad Thai, and other entrees and they said it was okay. If you do get a chance, ask to see their Mongolian food menu, it has some pretty good options on there! Aside from food, I really enjoyed their Thai Iced Coffee and Thai Iced Tea, they were really refreshing. There aren't too many good or close options near me, so we chose to try Buuz Thai after reading mixed reviews and considering the distance from us. We ordered two of my favorite Thai dish, Pad Thai. The price was good and ordering was very easy by phone. Pickup (by my husband) was also very fast. He also said it was pretty full on a Friday night. The food itself was just OK. There wasn't as much sauce or flavor as I have had in this dish in the past, and it felt dry. It wasn't bad, just fair. It also wasn't at all filling (perhaps not enough meat?) and I easily ate the whole bowl which was shocking as I usually can only eat half when I typically order this (or maybe there was less food in the bowl?). I like this little restaurant a lot! I tried their drunken noodles last time and it was amazing, served with complimentary Thai iced tea (always happy with that extra little something haha). This time I requested the Mongolian menu, got the milk tea and beef veggie noodle soup. The milk tea is hot and savory, very special and rich. The pad see ew tasted more like drunken noodles and the duck was pretty dry and flavorless, which leads me to believe they probably used frozen duck. Don't know what the negative reviews are about.... this is my "go to" place when I've got a craving for Pad Thai or Drunken Noodles. Food is always tasty and not overly greasy. Veggies are always fresh and crisp and meats never taste gamey or "off". Delivery was SUPER quick (actually early) and my husband and I gobbled up every last bite.
