This is a small black owned spot. The appearance from the outside might not be the greatest but the owners are nice and the food is really good. I have been going here for years to see the prices keep increasing although the food taste vary from good to not soo good. They give you 6 smoked half wing pieces that are un-seasoned with no real flavor other than the smoke flavor which taste at times like they need to clean the smoker. I could cook better beans and potato salad myself so look like I'm done with Buy the Bone Bar-b-que. ‍ I want to find a place that seasons or marinates the chicken for that ufff that gets you when you bite into it- no sauce needed and that's not Buy the Bine Bar-b-que. The best BBQ I've had in a very very long time. I made the dreadful mistake of stopping here after a round of golf one Sunday afternoon. I went back 3 times the following week alone and make it a regular stop now. It's addictively good. My only complaint is no Brunswick stew lol. Pulled pork is smoked to perfection and needs no sauce to enjoy. The Mac n cheese? Definitely not boxed kit fo sho lol. I initially wanted to come here because my mechanic and some family spoke highly of the food. I finally had the opportunity, after they had been closed due to a family emergency (posted sign on door), to visit. Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience. Customer service is not awful & although my order was wrong, still no complaints. I ordered the rib tip dinner & my two sides were supposed to be mac and cabbage. However, I got BBQ beans instead of the cabbage. Nonetheless, I was still excited to try the food. **Side note: I'm a full time student and was recently stressed due to finals, so I didn't have much of an appetite and hadn't eaten anything else the day I ordered the food** Anyway, I took a couple bites of everything, ribs, mac & beans. Wasn't that hungry so I decided to save it for later. Now... to the point of why I'm giving this place 1 star. As I type, I'm suffering from a case of food poisoning. Thus, I'll never eat here again, & would suggest to the entire world not to. After waiting at least 3-4 days for them to reopen, Im sick from the food. I hate getting sick, especially after eating!! Most of the reviews are based solely on the quality of food but this review is about customer service. One of the women who works the front counter has such an inviting smile and seems to have a great attitude until you ask questions. literally just simple questions about portion sizes, and how certain things are made (such as asking if the cake has homemade icing) now I understand that sometimes people have a condescending attitude behind their reasoning for asking these questions but this what not the case at all. We simply wanted the information for future reference and maybe even to promote the business to others "Hey y'all, check this place out they got _________AND they make their food homemade!" But after snarky comments, attitude, head shaking and everything else to express her dissatisfaction...and even straight up refused to respond to a question asked....it has really ruined the experience at this restaurant. I was extremely happy to find such good food that is competitively priced, only to have that overrun by the treatment of people who simply want to patron a business , a black business, and show support while getting a good meal. Just because something is family owned, does not mean we should abandon all courtesy and respect because we are irritated and treat people like they have no right to even ask something as simple as what type of ribs are served.
