But it wasn't like that at all. I had never been before, even though I've passed it so many times. I finally decided, "Let me just try it." The cashier was really nice and explained how everything worked. I asked her what her favorite salad was, but instead of going with her recommendation, I trusted my instincts and built mine based on the ingredients that stood out to me. I ordered the Polynesian chili mango salad with mint and added grilled shrimp. I wasn't a huge fan of the shrimp, but the salad itself was so good that I still ate the whole thing. The flavors were layered and intentional. Not generic, not bland. I love when salads don't taste like an afterthought. What really impressed me was the hot sauce bar. That blew me. They had multiple hot sauces, and as someone who's basically a hot sauce connoisseur, I appreciate that because different hot sauces pair better with different foods. That detail alone elevated the experience. The space was big, clean, bright, and full of color. It felt fresh. Overall, I was genuinely impressed. I definitely want to go back and try the other salads.

My dinner was ready quickly, and everything tasted good. If anything, I would likely order different sides next time, as everything was just a little on the dry side and the Brussels sprouts were a bit overdone for my liking.

At that time I would've given my experience five stars no doubt. It was a little bit off this time. First of all, it was so cold in there that my food was hot when it arrived. I took literally one minute to take a photo of my food and by the time I started eating it, it was already getting cold. I got the one protein plate and of course went for the smoked and grilled wings because I had been dreaming about them since 2021. They were still very tasty and I love the variety of sauces that get served with it. My favorite was the cilantro sauce, but the lemon pepper was really good too. The brussell sprouts flavor was good but they seemed old though, like they had sat for a long time and then been reheated. Also, we got there at about 8:15 PM and they closed at 9pm. I had been traveling all day and this was the first place we went after leaving the airport. We ordered the craft sodas and were very excited about them but pretty much as soon as our food came out the gentleman from the counter informed us that they were closing down the soda machine. I was pretty annoyed because those sodas are close to $5 apiece and I was hoping to try a couple flavors. I get that they wanna get out of there, but we were paying customers. If they were gonna close the soda machine as soon as they got our food, they should've told us that when we were ordering.

The menu said there was no red sauce, but I didn't think there was no sauce period. Apparently instead of a sauce, the base was cheese so it was a thick layer. I loved it! Very unique. The meat lovers was super meaty. I wasn't in the mood for meat so this pick wasn't for me. It was still good. Don't get me wrong about it. The boys really seemed to like it. You definitely get a bang for your buck with tons of meat on this pizza: pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, hamburger. I was surprised that the village salad was pretty tasty despite not having any greens. It was a well balanced dish. And not being a vegetable fan, I really dug this.

The food is…read morevery tasty, and it's the perfect spot with the family bc it's casual, quiet, and homy feeling, which is why I suggested my friends meet me here for dinner. Unfortunately, this experience was not like the first, and I left feeling embarased I had suggested this spot for our outing. We attempted to order a glass of wine only to discover they have no beer, wine, or cocktails. They recommend u go next door to buy bottles, so we did. They then charge $15 per bottle for corkage (which in this case was unscrewing bottles). I totally understand paying corkage at a restaurant when they personally sell wine, and u want to bring in a competitor bottle, but when they offer nothing in this arena, it seems wrong to then charge guests to provide what most restaurants supply. My second issue was the service was glacially slow. It took 20 plus minutes to get glasses for the wine we brought and paid for them to "serve." Further, the server forgot multiple things (like feta on side of salad rather than atop, which was challenging for our lactose-intolerant diner to enjoy, orders of sides, etc.). Lastly, the prices seem reasonable, but they aren't great when u consider that a shrimp dinner "with vegetables" is actually 6 shrimp with a quarter of a roasted tomato for $18. I would only do takeout from here if anything, but I still think u may be better off to order Persepolis, Rumi's, or Zaffron. Sad bc this is super convenient, and my memory from last time is the owner is terrific (she was not here this time I don't believe, or at least, I didn't see her).
