My family has been coming to Buzz Inn for a long time, but after the last couple of visits, that may change. The service is always friendly and reasonably fast. But the quality of the food seems to have taken a dive. Tonight I ordered the surf and turf. My daughter wanted some steak so I cut her off a few pieces. I took a few bites, but distracted by my kids, it took me a minute before it dawned on me that my steak that was supposed to be cooked medium was bone dry--only the barest hint of pink in the middle. It was under seasoned and barely edible. But between the large piece I'd cut off for my daughter, and the couple of bites I'd taken--there was enough of it gone that I didn't feel right about sending it back. So I choked down as much of it as I could. My husband said with a shrug that his steak was just "alright." Neither of us received the garlic toast that usually comes with steak dinners either. On top of the unsatisfactory meal, due to it being poker night, there was a ton of loud, foul-mouthed men wandering about. I had to ask the waitress to change the channel on the TV closest to our table because it was a QVC infomercial selling--and I'm not kidding-- vagina cream! And when my family (with two young children) exited the building, we were forced to walk through a disgusting cloud of cigarette smoke from half a dozen men who were inconsiderately standing around smoking within two feet of the front doors. I have been eating at the Buzz Inn since I was a kid. I've always had a great experience, like always. Ribeye is my go to cut, when I'm not that hungry I go with a BLT, and for breakfast, I get sausage and eggs as I'm never up early enough for the bacon n eggs breakfast special. We had waffles and eggs and bacon it was delicious. The black coffee is good and plentiful! The place is one old the oldest restaurants in Arlington which is rapidly growing! Giving this restaurant 2 stars is a stretch! The only reason for the second star is because our server was polite. The lack of any acknowledgement after making eye contact with the host as she walked right by us not once, but twice really set the tone for dinner. I had to get her attention and asked if anyone was available to seat us or if we should seat ourselves. She replied with a snarky, "well I was just about to seat you all". I highly doubt she would've stopped had I not got her attention. Mind you, the dining room only had two other families in there. So, her lack of customer service wasn't due to being busy with other customers. So, onto the food...the burger had a funky aftertaste and was probably freezer burnt. The fries were cold and bland. My wife ordered the taco salad and barely ate a quarter of it. My son's steak looked like a piece of grilled leather. Overall, nothing looked or tasted fresh. She left again, came back and asked if we could get an order placed by 6...said if we could get seated and time to look at a menu we could. Today, my wife and I went to one of our favorite places to eat. Well, it used to be! We were told there was only wait person and that we would have to wait. Five minutes to be seated. Over 20 minutes later we still hadn't been seated. We had several staff people look at us and just walked by us previous to that before we were even greeted at the door. Honestly the service was amazing. Cassidy is incredible and extremely efficient. She rang everything in correctly based off of our receipt and a cook or busser brought out our food so she didn't have a chance to look over our order before we got it. We've gone to buzz inn about a total of 5 times in the last year and every single time something has unfortunately been forgotten about. Yes we check our order but sometimes we feel bad about checking in front of people so we wait until we get to the vehicle then things get over looked until we get home. Tonight everything looked fine until we got home and realized we were missing a salad and then looked at the portions of a $26 steak meal. (See photo, plated for size). This is absolutely insanity to charge this much for a 1/4 cup of cooked vegetables with a less than 8oz steak that was advertised as 12oz and a whole side missing. It's honestly pathetic. We have finally decided we're done with this place. He was stone cold sober as the dd and when he inquired again about the drink he had tried to order for myself he was yelled at by the bartender walking by that they were closing in 5 min and she already told him the system was down (how dare he ask). When he pointed out other ppl were receiving drinks she made a sorry excuse. As we were waiting for the bill she came over with the beer and a half apology to myself but not to my husband. I wouldn't usually assume or mention it but after reading several other reviews my husband was the only black patron in there that evening and at the very least they seem to heavily favor regulars or worse. Seems slow, some areas cordoned off to not allow seating. I seated myself in the bar area. Patrons left while I was sitting there (about 15 minutes) have not yet been approached. New customers came in and took the seats that are vacated next to me. Finally I was noticed and asked if I wanted something to drink and I gave my order for a Bloody Mary. Second person stopped and I asked if I wanted a drink. I said I ordered one already but wanted some food. Patrons next to me were approached to take their order waitress looked at me and saw I hadn't been approached for my order yet and said that she didn't see me. Hm, invisible customer, not good, already considering how small of a TIP (to insure prompt service) to leave. Bloody Mary was extremely salty and strong. Food finally came after the other's got theirs, I'm fuming. Waitresses seem to have a good time behind the bar joking around and not servicing their customers. In the area for the annual fly-in/airshow, we decided to eat here our first night. The restaurant seemed pretty spacious and there was plenty of parking. Not being from the local area, I opted for a microbrew sample before selecting a beer. My sample showed up with a fly in it! Yeah, it happens but this wasn't the type of "fly-in" I came for...our server brought me another sample. There's a nice bar inside with TV monitors. We ate in the table area that was roomy. I tried the chicken wrap sandwich. It was pretty average tasting, meaning it was not bad but nothing to rave about. For whatever reason, this place seemed to be lacking something I can't quite put my finger on. My friends had steaks and didn't complain. For me, just an average steakhouse restaurant. If in the area again, this is a viable option but I'm sure I'll look to eat elsewhere first. read more

Two servers and still no one looked in our direction. 20 min still no water. I looked around the restaurant and noticed I was the only Black face in the building. Husband is an other.
