Great staff and our food was fresh and hot. I would have given 5 stars but the water tasted moldy, like maybe there was mold/mildew in the ice maker. It was not drinkable. We went back a few days later and the same mold dish rag taste with the water and ice. Our server, Starship, was very outgoing and friendly. She offered a sample of their Okoberfest beer. Not really liking it, my husband ordered an icedrop,as did I. If you've never tried an Icedrop, you need to. I got the Italian Lemoncello. The bartender brings it over in a Shaker and pours it into a glass made of ice with a sugar rim. The lemon cello was so good, it didnt take like an alcoholic beverage. My husband got the Strawberry melon and he loved it! He ended up trying the white gummy bear, too. That was good, but not as sweet. Happy hour is everyday, not just weekdays. Luckily we were there before 6 and ordered off that menu. The irish nachos were so good. We were on our way home from the Tulip festival and had to stop and get something to eat, Hops n' Drops being one of the only places that has GF options. Of course we had our dog with us who will start howling in the car if we leave so we asked the hostess, Trisha, if we could sit on the patio even though it's freezing and she was super accommodating and told us yes! We've always had nice greeters and servers. They have a good variety of food and drinks on their menus, good happy hour deals. It can get loud due to the openness of the restaurant. The bar area might be bigger than the family area. Very spacious with booths and comfy bar stools. They have a nice patio if you don't mind being near the busy street noise. For a chain restaurant, the quality of food is really good. Everything was cooked to order and had so much flavor. It comes off as a burger place, but they have so many other things to offer. The menu is very... creative. The inside is nice and kept clean. The service I had was great. First off the rules. 5 stars to start and you keep them or loose them. Well it's hot no one wants to cook but I NEEDED a burger. So we go here ( this is the first time here for us ) they have a burger sale for their anniversary so we hop in the truck and park. It's early like 3:50pm . So the parking lot is empty and I park in the shade. We are seated and the waitress appears magically out on nowhere. Sweet as could be . Hunny orders a cocktail and I water. We order two burgers one with tater tots and one with salad. I failed to say well done and when the burgers arrived in record time we dive in we have not had lunch so we are basically starving . I take a bite to tater tots ...yummy as could be. The burger is Rosie red and I am immediately reminded that I have to ask for meat to be cooked, so it's a nope , I know it's my fault and I should've ordered well done so I give the extra burger to my husband and just order a third burger . Of course I asked the waitress to make sure it's well done , we waited a little longer than the first order and I polished off the tots from my first burger order. Hubby was happily eating except for the exploding bun. I received the well done burger and dove in on it. Little did I know that this burger was actually medium raw on one side and medium rare on the other. The outside is charred to look like it's perfect. So frustrating to still not find a reliable source for a good burger. This place is not good but merely mediocre. Had to ask for napkins as there was only 2 and clearly if burgers are exploding you need at least 5! The waitress was adorable, and when I showed her the raw meat ( from the well done burger order ) she just said sorry.She did ask if I wanted to have it redone. Oh hell no I'm not giving you a 3rd chance to get it wrong when you can't even get it right on the 2nd. The waitress is not at fault for cooking BUT she should have attempted anything other than returning with the bill.... 1 cocktail ( great and tasty) 2 medium burgers ( ok but too dripping with sauces and meat juices making bun sloppy wet and falling apart, 3rd burger not cooked to well done as requested ( so bad ) the tater tots are salty enough. Why is the lettuce so stinking wet? Do these yahoos know that the tomatoes, pickle and onions are already wet enough? Do they not understand that the balance of all these things need to be considered? Has the manager ever sent in a friend or family member to go in and get a report of the customer experience ? So we can't recommend eating here at all. We didn't ask for a replacement burger as it was my fault for not ordering "well done" but my reorder should have been done correctly. We paid for 1 drink and 3 burgers plus 20 percent tip. $48 wasted honestly I think they should have offered to take at least one burger off the bill. If the grill is so hot you can't even start to make a well done or medium well done burger. Clearly the cook is NOT an actual chef as they would have been able to make the burger correctly. Maybe the busboy was taking over the grill so someone could take a break from the whopping 3 tables . Sad as we want a place to get our burger fix closer to home! We went to this establishment for Sunday lunch and it wasn't busy at 11am. I ordered the chicken strips with a salad. Menu said they in-house hand dip & fry their chicken strips. You can tell! It was mostly moist meat with a light coat of batter. I absolutely loved it and paired well with my salad for a semi healthy meal lol. My husband got the cheeseburger and tots. Tots looked crispy and perfectly fried. My toddler got the 1 egg breakfast with bacon & a pancake. Eh, it was too greasy for my liking. Definitely not worth $7.75. Overall food quality was impressive. I took off a star soley on service. It was chaotic with different people serving our food, taking our order etc. We never were given utensils by our main server and waited a few minutes until I had to approach a server for some. She never came back to check up on us. We felt ignored. So our experience could have been better but I don't mind coming back for the food. read more

we didn't know what to expect as this was our first visit to this chain. restaurant trips of any kind are a bit of an endeavor for us anyway as we have 6 kids (well-behaved but a waiter doesn't know that when we walk in). My kid recommended this place for lunch, so we got there right when it opened. It is kiddy corner from that noise, painful intersection that our city planners absolutely failed to design for easy of enter and egress vs managing for volume. All they care about is revenue, instead of not expanding the infrastructure. Build houses and not expand the roads. Typical knumb skulls who lack vision. The service was great, being the only ones there, I expect nothing less. The portions were large and satisfying. The bathrooms where clean and stocked. again, this is when it just opened. Really gone downhill. We used to absolutely love and highly recommend this place, but the service, food and atmosphere has seriously gone downhill in the last year. Their beer is consistently flat, regardless of your choice. The food was left in the fryer until it was dark, overcooked and so greasy. No one took our order for 10 minutes and it took another 10 to get our drinks when the place was dead. The last time we were here, no one came to take our order for over 15 minutes, so we left. Not once did they acknowledged our party or ask us for our drink order. After us waiting over 20 mins, a table of 6 was then seated behind us. At this point we still haven't been helped but the party that was just seated behind us was immediately acknowledged and being helped . We were baffled at what just happened, we couldn't understand what had just happened. To say we were upset would be an understatement .
