He immediately asked what do I need and I responded a cleanup. Meaning no hair cutting, I just needed to get my sideburns shortened up and my front lined up. He didn't do any of it. He left my sideburns just the way they were and when I pointed out that he is not following directions he went all in and cut a big chunk of hair leaving me with a hole on my sides. He was grumpy and unprofessional and expensive for the 5-minute lousy job. Apparently, he has been cutting hair all his life and I guess its time to retire and rent the seats to younger barbers. First, he couldn't even properly blend or fade the sides of my hair. Then the excuses started -- saying my head was "too sweaty" and that it was making his clippers not work right. After that, he claimed my scalp was "too clean" and that his clippers kept getting stuck lol. Mind you, I always wash my hair before going to the barbershop and it's never been an issue before. An hour and a half later, he finally finished. At first glance, one side looked decent enough and I thought maybe I could live with it. But once I got home and saw it under proper lighting, I noticed patches all around the fade area. It looked really bad -- like I had a duck tail on the back of my head lol. I even went back to Abel to give him a chance to fix it, but unfortunately it was still a fail. Definitely not coming back, especially to Abel. I only stopped by because my usual barbers were out of town. I think Abel just needs a lot more experience before he can really get it down.
