This place had all the qualities of a potentially great restaurant. The outside patio was adorable, the staff were incredibly nice, and the location was perfect. However, this is quite possibly the worst meal I have ever eaten (no exaggeration). I ordered the blackened mahi mahi and my boyfriend ordered the fried seafood platter. The mahi mahi came out underdone, slathered in seasoning, served over a puddle of frozen fish water. My boyfriends fried seafood platter included what looked and tasted like an oversized microwaved fish stick, coconut shrimp that essentially tasted like the scent of coconut shampoo, and the most underwhelming french fries you could imagine. The drinks were good, but if you order a margarita prepare to consume at least 90% mixer. Overall a wildly disappointing experience. read more

Cool atmosphere and good grouper sandwiches. This is a beer and wine bar so there will be no tropical rum or tequila drinks for you to enjoy. That doesn't bother me but my mom enjoys a fun cocktail on vacation and had to settle for something she did not really want because of the lack of options. We had a great time at Buzz's. I had called earlier in the week to learn they don't take reservations. But they do offer free parking. So we arrived, parked and walked across the street for sunset. This is a great place to dine during Covid since they have a nice outdoor porch overlooking the waterway. A very friendly greeting awaits guests and the service is excellent. Meh. Average. Expensive frozen seafood. We started with the calamari. It was clearly frozen and not fresh. My wife had clam strips - also frozen. Their signature fish reuben was OK in terms of size, but honestly, the only flavor was the rye bread. I've never had fish with less taste. It was like eating at Red Lobster, but outdoors. Food was not bad, but not great either. The wait staff was friendly and efficient, however. Bottom line: it's your typical pricey tourist-oriented beach restaurant. As this was our first meal in Naples we were excited to try Buzz's Lighthouse Inn. Reading the great reviews led us to believe that the meal would be fantastic. My husband ordered the fried grouper sandwich and he ordered fried coconut shrimp as an appetizer. I had a hamburger. When the coconut shrimp arrived at the table they looked and smelled as though they had been fried in week old grease. Looks we're not deceiving. You couldn't taste the shrimp and the coconut was burnt. The grouper sandwich was average at best. After seeing the coconut shrimp I was definitely not excited about my hamburger and fries I had ordered. When I got the hamburger it lived up to my expectations. The fries were over cooked in their aged oil and the hamburger tasted like it came from the frozen section at Publix or a microwave burger at a gas station. To top it all off the waiter had the personality of a fence post. To say we were disappointed with our meal and service was an understatement. read more

Guys I am giving you a five star because I love you and always will. I have grown up going here and love the familiar faces, amazing food, impeccable service, and the vibe. Tonight was even the best service and grouper prep I have ever had, but PLEASE wear masks. We were so discouraged when we sat down, our family all in masks. Only who I assume was management? had a mask on. We sat with small toddlers with masks to protect you, please let us know you are protecting us as well. Again, if this does not concern you then know you will have the best service and food. We are mainly Turtle Club/ Ritz people (who have been impeccable with Covid) but have always loved Buzz's due to lack of pretension one needs at times and always recommend to any of our out of town guests. Left the Pretty upset about the service My husband and I received tonight. My husband and I are new to the area, and wanted to try a local place. We talked in wanting to just have a drink or two. The bar only has room for 6 guests which was Full. Plenty of open tables, I counted 8 while sitting there. So we grabbed a table. We ordered our Drinks and when our server Kim came back and we explained we were only having drinks. Our server snatched our menus. and about 30 seconds later the Host came and apologized and we were told that we were not allowed to sit at a table if we were just ordering drinks. Which I'm not sure why that would be a problem since we are paying customers and which drinks at 9$ a piece a decent size bill could rack up quickly. Higher than a one person table come in and order a sandwich and a water. Sadly, we asked for our check and left and didn't even enjoy our drinks. read more

I live around the corner. 3 times I have given this place a chance. It has a Great view and would be super fun to go to after the beach or for waterside meal. BUT.. SO SAD that the food is below average and the wine selection is garbage and the beer choices are old school. I even asked if the French fries were fried with the fish and the answer is yes. Who does that anymore? Yuk! They tasted like fish! For goodness sakes owners...you are sitting on a potential gold mine... at least bring it up to a mark west or hahn....add some hard ciders and seasonal beers...and play some fun music. Yuk in every category. Fresh? Hail no. I got "fresh perch" and asked where the boney little chunk came from, and was told unflinchingly, "Lake Victoria Africa, I think." My friend asked for a Diet coke and the regular coke came at the same time as the check. It was nearly impossible to get the waitress' attention for anything. I highly recommend you ask for the coleslaw and sauce on the side so you can see how much fish is served to you...translation: not much. Very laid back, deck dining overlooking the bay. The sandwich set me back $16.95. Add in a glass of wine with tip and it was quickly a $30 lunch. We visited the restaurant at 5 pm and made reservations for 15 at 6 PM. The hostess said she would have the table ready and that a party of 15 would not be a problem. Well we arrived st 5:55 and no table ready. Instead the same hostess said that we would have to separate and would not be by each other. When we asked her what changed from 45 minutes ago she had no response except do you want the tables or not. No apology just poor customer service. Why would anyone support this treatment? read more
