Determined it was a burned pump and quoted $350 to repair. But he included a 2nd $85 charge for another return visit. Other operators stock parts and don't require a 2nd visit. I even asked ahead if he would have parts for this model and he assured me he would have them. I ended up just buying a new dishwasher. When the installers came, they found that the hose was clogged and so I shouldn't have even needed a replacement. This should have been a very simple repair. Instead I wasted $85 on an incorrect diagnosis and spent $600 on a new dishwasher I didn't need. Be sure to confirm that repairs can be made the same day. And be sure that your service tech does a thorough inspection of hose lines.

I came across Pima Installation on Yelp and I'm so glad I did. Romulo had excellent communication from scheduling to getting the job done. It was a tricky install due to it being an older home and having to retrofit. We needed extra parts which I was not anticipating. Pima was able to get everything we needed and get the job done right. Romulo and his team were friendly and the went out of their way to get the job done right and source the missing parts all in the same day. They offered to test our units and explained everything. This go around they installed a washer and dryer (with a mini washer underneath and a steam dryer). But I will be calling them back for our ovens and downdraft as they can do all types of appliances. A true 5 star experience.

After a terrible experience with another A/C company, their knowledgeable, gimmick-free approach was a breath of fresh air. No "spin the wheel" tactics--just a real conversation. I sent their General Manager, Jim, the estimate I'd received from the other guys and a separate second opinion along with my concerns. Instead of speculating, Jim sent James out to evaluate our system personally. James spent two hours inspecting everything and discovered the previous company had recommended a massive amount of unnecessary equipment and failed to mention that the actual issues were caused by their own poor installation. The best part? Cool Willy's didn't charge us a dime for the visit, calling it a "re-evaluation." The next day, they sent an estimate for the actual repairs that was less than half the price of the original quote. It's rare to find this level of integrity.

A firm that did give us an appt proposed replacing the entire HVAC unit for a cost of $15k to $20k. Needing a second estimate, we called Platinum Air Heating & Cooling, and are so, so happy that we did. They changed a capacitor and got the A/C going, providing relief from the heat for under $300, and said they believed the existing A/C unit has another 5 years of service in it, very welcome news.

They said that they would be out in Tucson area maybe March 28 or 29th. But they made my appointment for May 3rd 9 am-1 pm. I received my confirmation via email that same day. As it was close to May I emailed them to confirm they are coming on the 3rd. I received a response that said yes and they would confirm the time and let me know. Three days later I get a text message that says they can not come on May 3rd. They have to reschedule me for May 30th !!! Needless to say I am mad, waiting almost 3 months and now they cancel. I told them to forget it! Today 3 days before the original date of the 3rd I get a phone call, asking if I want the 30th date. I already told them NO. Unreliable outfit. They have no business advertising their services from Phoenix to Tucson if they know they can not service it. Their excuse was that they don't have a service team now in Tucson. There vent cleaning fee is $149 so the lady said on the phone, However, she didn't put that in writing. Bad management !!!!

I had a problem with my Kenmore elite front load washer as far as a draining code error coming up. I had a repair person come to fix it and they changed out the pump and left. I did a load later that day and had the same problem with the error code and could not get the repair man that changed the pump to return my call. I searched the web to find the top ten repair guys in Tucson and BVS was listed with great reviews. I called Bill and told him over the phone what my problem was and what the other repair guy had done without fixing the problem. Bill asked how old the machine was and and I inform him that it was 15 years old. His advice was to not put more than $150 into this old of a machine which I appreciated his honesty. I don't want to put out there that Bill gives free advice over the phone to repair your appliances but he told something that I could try that might fix the problem at no cost. I took his advice and sure enough it fixed the problem. Bill could have just as easy came to my house and fixed the problem and charged a service fee at minimum, I have a feeling that his integrity would not allow him to do this on such and old machine after I had already spent $250.00 on a new unneeded pump from the previous yahoo that came out. I have not met Bill in person yet but his business number is with me now for all future appliance repairs based on his customer service and honesty I received from our phone conversation. Bill was our miracle today. Our Kenmore wall oven unexpectedly malfunctioned while I was doing Thanksgiving dinner preparations, two days before the big day. The oven door locked closed, along with loud beeping, and an error code blinking on the display. The fixes offered in the oven's owner's manual and online did not work. In a panic, I called Kenmore service and all they could offer me was a repair appointment the day after Thanksgiving. I desperately called each repair service listed on Yelp and no one could talk to me, but when I got to BVS on the list, Bill picked up the phone, listened, and immediately offered to change his personal plans and come by right away to help us figure out the problem. With his assistance, the oven door finally opened before the food was ruined. Bill is experienced with Kenmore and advised us how to proceed to repair or keep the oven going, since the malfunctioning part is no longer made! I appreciated his willingness to drop what he was doing and come over immediately. We will definitely call him again! read more

I have contacted Bill twice via phone calls. He answered immediately both times. His advice/input was so very practical and sound that I was stunned! The first call to him about my 20+ year old Maytag Refrigerator was approximately 10 months ago. I took his advice to heart. He said, "I wouldn't let a noisy fridge keep me awake at night." I am still using the refrigerator!!! Recently, I called about about the same refrigerator making a new noise for a few days; then, it stopped. At the time of the second call, my son and I were actively shopping for a new fridge online! Bill's advice: "the new fridges are not the same quality. I would continue using the 20+ year old Maytag!" My husband is a nurse and I needed to wash uniforms and my washer stopped working mid load... so I called called Bill at BVS Appliance Repair and explained my situation to him. Bill was able to squeeze me in to his schedule the same day. He arrived and was able to diagnose the issue immediately, and get my washer up and running in a short time frame. The machine did not need any parts, and he didn't try to sell me any. He completed the repair, cleaned up he water, and charged me a very fair fair price for the repair. I contacted BVS to take a look at my dishwasher that was leaking water. Bill, the owner, asked if I washed my dishes before I placed them in the washer. I told him that I usually use a sponge and at times, use a sponge with dishwashing liquid. Bill advised that using dishwasher liquid could bubble up in the dishwasher, causing water to leak out. He examined my dishwasher and observed no problems. Bill suggested I quit using dishwashing liquid to clean the dishes. I fully expected him to "find something wrong" but he didn't. I am visiting family members in Tucson. My brother's dryer broke suddenly. The entire family had gathered and was staying at my brother's home. Then she calls 'somewhere', and eventually a sales rep comes out, but the whole time you're wondering 'wth?' because there are no other people in the whole building. Weird. No background music, no literature laying around. etc. Finally a sales rep comes out from some hidden place, and he was very nice, friendly, knowledgeable and professional, but was unable to fully answer all of our questions. When we called him later on his cell phone there was no voice mailbox available, so we thought that was wierd too. Eventually we did purchase what we were looking for, but it has not been delivered yet, sooooooo, the final jury is still out. We don't feel very attached, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that everything works out as we have been assured.

Delivery was quick and I saved on a service fee by having both my seal and the stove done at the same time. My delivery person was nice. He came in and got the job done. I haven't gotten a chance to use my stove yet but everything seems to be working. The delivery person cleaned up after himself on the way out and took my old unit with him which I did pay for. Their delivery prices were very reasonable. Every unit on their floor appears to come with a warranty which I really liked. Most of their items are used/refurbished/open box items so I felt a lot more confident purchasing knowing there was a warranty and the items had been inspected.

While we could tell he was a bit younger and newer to the field, he was incredibly transparent, honest, and professional about exactly what we needed. When we mentioned we had received other quotes, they worked closely with us to find a price point that made us comfortable staying with their company. The Installation: Alfredo, Francisco, and Julian were fantastic. They were efficient enough to get both massive units fully installed in just a single day. Not only were they friendly, but they were also incredibly mindful of avoiding messes and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. The Extra Mile: They went above and beyond by checking every single room to ensure everything was functioning perfectly. They actually discovered that the previous homeowner had closed all of our air vents--something we had completely missed! The house is now so much cooler and significantly quieter with the new systems running. I would absolutely recommend Good Fellas to anyone looking for honest, efficient, and high-quality HVAC work. So, I won some sort of contest on KVOA like 2 years ago and and the prize was 2 free visits from…read morethese guys, one fall and one summer. The fall visit was typical and efficient. I didn't particularly like the guy with his up sell as to me needing some sort of sanitizing light in the blower cavity for mold. The estimate was way over the top! But he checked out all parts of the system thoroughly, said things were in order, and that was great. Then the summer visit came yesterday and don't know where the communication breakdown came but when i talked to the scheduler a couple of months ago and made the appointment, I immediately documented it in my Google calendar. Well, yesterday's appointment was to be between 8 and 10 AM. Then 10 AM came and went, and so did 10:30 and 11:00 AM. I called at 11:30 and was told that my appointment was late afternoon. I said no thanks cancel my appt and hung up. Within about 20 minutes or so I get a call from technician David, whom was told to call and report to my home. Very nice guy, we talked about the system, do's and dont's. He went outside and checked things, hosed out the inside of Condensor fan housing and the coils. He said everything looked great and we were done. Upon reading other reviews, it looks like most customers had a good experience, so I as well would say they are worth a try.
