It's not the best Italian in Cottonwood, but definitely delicious enough to keep returning. We've been a handful of times. We prefer going to Nics on Main St. BVs version of linguine and clams was disappointing. Other pasta dishes are good. Husband loves their basil tomato soup. They have great deals during the week and their bar menu is also decent. Easy and free parking lot. Moscato in Camp Verde is top notch, by the way. This review is based on 2 lunch visits. First off, the name is being changed to Capone Eatery and sports bar. The atmosphere is very elegant and upscale feeling. The service is fantastic. The first time I got the burger.. I can't remember the name, but it was someone "in a coffin". It was decent, but not anything special. Fries were okay. Second, it was the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp added for an up charge. Good shrimp but the small portion of pasta was surprising. It was again decent. After I left I thought about it and was pretty sure the menu said it came with bread. I didn't receive any. I stayed at Lux Verde hotel and this Italian restaurant is attached to it. Love the decoration, love the light ambience, warm, relaxing, love the food, and the service is exceptional. You feel welcomed, greeted by the servers. In my trip to see Sedona AZ, this is my favorite restaurant. read more

Decided to stop by BV's after work today at the recommendation of a friend. And man, this food did not disappoint. I ordered the meatballs as an appetizer, and the fettuccini Alfredo with chicken as my entree, Caesar salad as well. Food was flavorful, and very fresh with wholesome ingredients. The service was on point, appetizers arrived quickly, and as soon as I finished those, the entree was placed before me. Everything was great. Will definitely come here again! Delightful experience. My Aunt and I were in town because my Uncle had gone into hospice care rather suddenly. We went to dinner early on a Thursday evening because we were both drained. Our waitress was wonderful, best Cosmopolitan cocktail either of us had ever had, and the food was delicious. My Uncle has since passed away so unfortunately I doubt we'll be back in Cottonwood anytime soon, but this dining experience was the best part of the trip. Highly recommended. read more

An amazing experience! Everyone from our server, Laura to the woman who sat us down and the gentleman at the bar - they greeted us with smiles and kindness. We had: Melanzome Romana, Pasta Primavera, Minestrone Soup, Caesar Salad, Kids Spaghetti. Every dish was absolutely delicious! I'm just sad I didn't have any room for dessert. I have no doubt that would have been amazing as well. The restaurant plays light uplifting music and has this beautiful warm ambiance. I've been their guest for years and everything was fine. Until a couple days ago when I ran into a problem with them. I ordered food for take out for my family that has kids (it's important). We ordered a steak, pasta with mushrooms and chicken and deserts, in total $90 and tips. Since we pick it up late, we went home and left it for the next day. The next day my husband starts eating and feeding a toddler with pasta and after a few spoons he finds a cooked bug in it. After finding this surprise he had to throw away everything (the rest of pasta, my steak that was waiting for me, and deserts). I called the same day we found a bug (which is the next day of the order being placed). Spoke to Mark (whoever gave me my order, he sent all the info to his boss), then boss called me the next day offering $50 gift card. I refused because for me it's a useless resolution. I am not ordering more food with bugs, plus I lost $90 and being offered $50? Kind of weird. I told him that this resolution benefits them but doesn't resolve my issue and asked for a refund. The big boss said his policy doesn't allow him to make refunds. Trying to show he cared about my as a client, but I explained him that you care when you resolve clients issue, but not with a useless resolution. I don't need a gift card, there is just no sense. Then he said "why would I refund money if you're not coming back to our restaurant?" And that's where I said he cared about his business not the clients. He didn't care. It was only $90 for them but I kept the bug with a box, the receipt and going to send the complaints to our local health department and since that food had meat another complaint goes to USDA Food safety and inspection service. The bug was not that frustrating as how they handled the situation. We always had $100 and over checks and tipped the crew. This is fair to take care of the client's problem ones to keep at least positive experience but I guess they don't understand that their business lives because of clients. I waited awhile before trying this place because it was getting a lot of hype...a friend and I went a couple of weeks back for lunch and I have to admit I wasn't too impressed. First of all...the lighting was so dim I had to use my phone flashlight to read the menu. Secondly, while we were seated quickly it took forever to see a server. My friend went to the restroom and returned before the server came to the table. Additionally, the decor is pretty upscale, like trying for fine dining, but honestly during lunch that's not appropriate unless you've got hours to sit around leisurely enjoying lunch. Not practical for the regular employee looking to get in and out. Anyway, I ordered the Chicken Florentine sandwich, which was good. The chicken was tender, right amount of spinach and cheese and served with waffle fries. My friend had the lunch capellini pomodoro (angel hair marinara essentially) and the serving size was adequate for the price I'd say. He wasn't overwhelmed with it as a whole, but said it was good. His was served with a small piece of bread. We were offered dessert which we declined but the server told us the tiramisu was the best and strongly recommended it. I asked if it was made in house and it's not! Apparently it's imported from Italy but wow...would've expected that to be homemade. I'm sad to say I most likely will not return again unless I'm invited. Really was hoping for a good win here.... read more

I ordered to go yesterday for the shrimp pasta specifically the Gamberi Shrimp signature plate. Unfortunately by the time I got back to the hotel, I realized they forgot to put the pasta in the dish. It only had shrimp and sauce but someone forgot the pasta itself. Food was great at least what was present but would have been nice if pasta was there since it's a pasta dish. Someone not paying attention to their work. Staff were friendly just need to pay more attention to details. read more

This is the 2nd location of the popular and highly rated Sedona Bella Vita (BV's) Ristorante - Located at the Lux Verde hotel with a side entrance is an Italian gem you must try! I am regretting not getting any food pics and didn't think of looking them up on Yelp until the table was cleared, but our food was wonderful! I did take lots of pics of the menu and a few of the interior. The service by Anthony was great, it's busy already, they have a killer lunch menu where 3 of us got different variations of the soup/salad/homemade focaccia deal for $11. The ambiance is beautiful but dead silent. I mean not a sound is made in the dining rooms. It's eerie and makes me want to crawl out of my skin. Otherwise unfortunately the food has almost zero flavor. My family is Sicilian Italian so I'm used to real Italian flavors. Here the flavors have been lessened so much so that older people can handle it that it tastes like fancy cardboard. The servers don't know the menu which has presented a few problems. The one thing I do recommend is the deserts. They make the filling for the cannoli from scratch and it's delightful. And the pistachio gelati is more nutty than any I've ever had. So good. So it's worth popping in for at least, a dessert! read more

Faith was our server and she was very helpful with what was vegetarian or not. The food was very good. We had egg plant Parmesan with angel hair pasta on the side and a very fresh salad that was just the right size and NO iceberg lettuce. The desert was to die for, very decadent. We even ordered some to try at home later. We went for our anniversary dinner and they made a sparkler candle to celebrate. Our anniversary is July 4th but we were celebrating a day early because of other commitments. They knew it was our anniversary but not that it was July 4. It was great!! I called two days in advance for a party of 10 for lunch on Nov. 20, I spoke with Marco. When we arrived they did not have a table ready for us, they had to search for our reservation, eventually finding it. When they seated us, it was in the bar. They had pushed three round bar tables together, so those of us along the sides had our backs to the person next to us. Very poor seating arrangement. I let Marco know before I ever sat down, that I was not happy with this arrangement. He said absolutely nothing. Six of the ten of us had the soup & salad, the other four ordered regular entrees. When the soup and salad arrived, the soup was barely lukewarm. Our server did NOT bring the bread, we had to ask for it. It took at least 20 minutes before the other four entrees arrived.. Those of us with soup & salad were all but finished by then. I cannot speak for the rest of our group, although there were lots of negative comments, but I will never again set foot in this restaurant. This was the third time I have been there, the food was never good, but our treatment, and the mediocre food this time has sealed my resolve. read more

Every visit is a gamble. We will have an amazing experience one time then the next it's absolutely horrible. I definitely do not recommend getting food to go. The portions are laughable to go. In person is better. The staff can be wonderful or terrible. If you order "unlimited" soup, salad and bread, be ready to wait a long time and to bug them every time for what you need. Our last experience was a Friday (thanksgiving week) for lunch and it was 1.5 hours from arriving to paying the bill. Staff was rude. My salad, normally my favorite, was pure mush. I received my soup nearly 40 min before everyone else got their food. Servers did nothing to improve the experience. I don't think I will go back for a while. read more

Stopped in BV's for a quick dinner while on the road for work. First off the atmosphere and decor was very authentic, and reminded me of some of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in the U.S. I sat at the bar and was served by Gabriel who was amazing, genuine, and kind. The food was spectacular to say the absolute least from fried mozzarella to the fettuccine a la vodka with shrimp that almost knocked me back in my seat with the robust flavor of the pasta and shrimp cooked to perfection. The only critic I have is I don't believe pasta should be anywhere over a $20, however, it was well worth it. Highly recommended for date nights or a simple wholesome dinner while on the road. 10/10 read more

Went to celebrate Brother in laws birthday on the 7th. Reservations at 6pm. We were sat, drink order taken, and food ordered by 6:15. After order was placed they seated 2 other tables around us. Well, after an hour of us waiting the tables that were sat after us got their food. I finally spoke up. A so-called manager came out and said that the kitchen was backed up???? If backed up why did others that came after us get their food before us? We were informed we got 15% off our food but charged 6.00 for using a debit card. We decided to let them box our food to go and just before we left the "manager" handed me one of the booklets that we get in the mail weekly and said there is half off coupons in there. Restaurant 101: If your kitchen is getting backed up, or your wait staff is in the weeds you hold the front door. Put people on a short wait list to let the kitchen catch up. Don't just fill the tables and hope for the best. I have sent an email to the "owner", but since I have no response I went public. Btw, the food was below standard. I started with garlic bread with an olive oil infused with lemon, moved to the crisp and flavorful Caesar salad, made my way to the Pollo Fiorela, and finished with the best tiramisu my tastebuds have ever had! I've been here twice since it opened. I've also dined at their other location Sedona. This place is top drawer all the way. It almost feels like an Italian eatery in NYC. They've done an excellent job of creating intimate dining spaces surrounded by warm Tuscan decor. The food is right up there with the best of the best Italian fare I've had over the years and I've had a lot of it, both homemade and in restaurants. I had their chicken parmesan during my first visit and it was well prepared and presented. The sauce is smooth and flavorful. The chicken was tender and moist. One of the best I've had. At my most recent visit we celebrated a couple of family birthdays so we had a large party - around 15. We were seated in a semi private alcove that felt like our home dining room. Our server named Anthony was on top of everything. How he did it is amazing. He was attentive, friendly and genuine. He even admitted he was a bit nervous serving so many at one table. The bartender Salvatore (Sal) is right out of a NYC bar. He makes excellent Manhattans and other classic and new style cocktails. His bar is well stocked and a cozy spot to have cocktails and appetizers. I absolutely love this place and plan to return regularly. The prices are very reasonable. The portions are generous but the most important thing is the food is extraordinary. read more

So excited we have BVs Italian Kitchen in Cottonwood. Excellent food, service and ambience at affordable prices. It is clear from the moment you walk in that the stafftruly want you to have a wonderful dining experience. We have been a few times now for lunch and dinner and every time we leave really happy with our experience. We went last night to Celebrate my birthday and we enjoyed perfect martinis and bruschetta to start. I had rhe chicken Marsala and it was scrumptious. Everyone loved their meals: the fish special, chicken alla vodka and fettuccine Alfredo with salmon. We finished the evening off with birthday sparklers, cannolis and spumoni.
