    Down the sauce graveyard

Strange setup as this place inside features a giant office overlooking the cooking area. Inside of that office lives an angry woman who was demanding her employees sell items that were about to expire. She should be more worried about the gummy pasta and nasty tomato sauce that resembles tomato paste and taste thick and spiceless. Obviously they overcooked the cheap spaghetti. The bucket, which was missing the lid (replaced by tin foil) was $10. Ok, will give them credit for decent bread, but if the warlord leaves her office, watch out below.

First time at By the Bucket. Shopped at the nearby Albertson's and thought I would pick up dinner for the off-spring. Ordered the family bucket which is about 1.5 pounds of spaghetti with sauce and a half loaf of garlic bread for $17.95. They made the spaghetti to order so was happy to see that. They added a couple of ladles of marinara sauce. Meatballs are $2 each for 2 ounces of meat. Contains pork, beef, Ricotta and Romano Cheese. Server recommended six to eight meatballs so I ordered four. Added another half loaf and total with tax was about $30. They also have meatball subs and Caesar salad on the limited menu. Spaghetti and marinara sauce were as expected. Meatballs and garlic bread were good. Staff was helpful. May try it again for the meatball sub.

The spaghetti is good but the meatball sandwich is not worth the money. The sandwich consists of two meatballs cut in half, sauce and cheese. Per their menu they charge $2.00 a meatball so the sandwich had $4.00 worth of meatballs and they charge $9.99 for it. The meatballs were a bit salty for me and the bread was over toasted so it just wasn't worth it for me as the bread to meatball ratio was way off. The spaghetti is a deal. For $12.00 you can get the middle size bucket which is plenty for two and a chunk of garlic bread. It's quick and easy and affordable so it's worth trying.

Tasty A hidden gem. I stumbled across "By the Bucket" after searching for italian food on Yelp, and decided to pick up a bucket for lunch. As we entered the restraunt we were greeted and given a quick overview of the menu. On this visit my lunch companion and I ordered the Bambino, Small Spaghetti and added 2 meatballs. The small order (bambino) was enough for two large servings. The flavor in the sauce and meatballs was simply delicious . The meatballs weetecsome of the best I have had, moist, flavorful, and filling snd the garlic bread a perfect addition. I can't wait to try their meatball sub next. Staff was friendly, food was amazing, affordable prices, can't wait to visit again.

Sometimes a simple idea is all one needs, tucked in the Albertson's plaza is a new takeout pasta and meatball joint. The menu is limited to pasta and meatballs, a meatball sub, garlic bread and for desert a New York style cheesecake. The meatballs sub was tasty (combo of pork, beef and ricotta) and at $9.99 it probably not the best deal on the menu, but it hit the spot.

Caesar Salad - not worth the money

Got the family bucket and Caesar salad and gotta say I'm disappointed. If you're paying $20 for noodles and sauce (no meatballs) then you'd expect the bucket they put it in to at least be full. I saw them putting the noodle and sauce in and thought 'cool, they're doing 2 layers so that the sauce isn't all on top' but no. It was just that one layer. There's a line on the bucket for where the lid should go and they got it nowhere near it. On top of that the noodles to sauce ratio was incredibly off. Seeing as they charge for extra sauce on the side they should really put an adequate amount of sauce on the noodles you're already paying for. Same thing with the Caesar salad. Bucket was filled about half way. On top of that sauce flavor was just okay. Nothing special. Bread was good and I think so were their meatballs, according to my husband. We thought this place was going to be amazing seeing as they only sell one dish. Will most likely not be back.

What a great place to go to avoid cooking in this heat! Economical too. A way to make sure your kids eat their dinner!

Really not worth the money. Good taste but how can you screw up spaghetti. Ordered online and picked it up and still had to pay a tip.

At least the garlic bread was good. They also ripped us off by charging us for extra marinara in place of including it

Is there anyplace to eat there or is it only takeout?

No, it is only for take-out. I can personally vouch for the subs. Deliciousness.

As an individual with experience in food safety and sanitation practices, I found several aspects…read moreof my visit concerning. Beyond the disappointing customer service experience with GG, whose response to legitimate concerns was dismissive and unprofessional, I was troubled by what appeared to be a lack of attention to basic quality-control standards. The food served raised concerns that, in my opinion, warranted closer review by management. Proper food handling, temperature control, product rotation, and overall quality assurance are fundamental responsibilities in any food-service operation. Based on what I observed, those standards did not appear to be consistently upheld. Food safety is not simply a matter of customer satisfaction--it is a public health responsibility. When guests raise concerns regarding product quality or potential safety issues, management should respond with professionalism and urgency. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope ownership takes the opportunity to evaluate current practices and ensure that both food safety protocols and customer complaint procedures are being properly followed
