Jack runs a nice shop clean and honest,,a good guy I recommend him to anyone...and I do all the time...five star shop

1st of all, the Owner was Rude. 2nd he took a job from from another shop called Tire Choice. He tried to fix the axle problem and idling problem from the 1st shop. He then said, they just told me to get it started. Then, I drove it and problem was still there. I basically had to deal with this shop, instead of Tire Choice and paid $1900 for nothing. They broke my door handle and speedometer. When he said it was gonna take time to find parts. All of a sudden the car was done in 2 weeks and he wanted cash?. I called him about the same problem. I went back and he said " that's the best I can do " . I then called the VW dealer and they referred me to Hans Automotive in Colton. He repaired the the problems and even stated " how did he even tune it without tuning screw?...and broken spark plug?... reported to BBB, department of consumer affairs, the governor Rob Bonta. Time will tell, we are living in a racial world. read more

If you want your car properly serviced at a reasonable price by an honest mechanic, this is the place. While I typically take my SUV to a local dealer for routine maintenance, lately they have been trying to convince me that I need a multitude of additional services, all with hefty price tags. This is where Jack comes ino my story. He was recommended by a trusted friend who told me Jack would give my vehicle an honest analysis and only do what truly needed to be done at a fraction of the dealer price. Granted, Rancho Cucamonga is not exactly right around the corner, but having piece of mind and more money in my pocket is well worth the trip to me. Took my 54 Ford F100 to Bystrom Automotive to repair electrical on the truck he fixed the electrical no problem. Even had them lower the truck by 2 inches and installed new update electronic gauges. I have been taking my cars here for 15 years at least. If you're looking for a professional and reasonable mechanic, look no further! I trust Jack will always give me a fair price and do a great job. Here's just one example, I needed a repair so I brought in my Acura to Jack expecting a pricey estimate, instead Jack advised me to have the repair done at the dealership because this particular repair was still covered under my warranty! Jack will fix the problem every time! I had a van with squeaky breaks, it was new so I took it to the dealership numerous times, with no results. I finally took it to Jack, problem solved first try! This guy is ALMOST A THEIF... took my 1989 GMC for repair, they took over a month to fix! Marked up parts and insulted me on how my vehicle was JUNK! When he used parts from a junkyard to repair!! I saw and told him part was on eBay for under 50 dollars!! Insisted only he could get the Correct part...then took most of my gasoline out of a 35 gallon tank!! Charged me $850. Thank you for being an honest mechanic... You recently did work on my 2003 Sequoia which had work done on it by Auto & RV did. I thought I had a head gasket leak and you took the time to diagnose the issue which was not a blown head gasket but a thermostat O ring which should have been done correctly by the last shop that did work on my car. Jack is a real piece of work. I was there 2 weeks ago and he quoted me a price without including labor and the diagnostic, I guess he thought I was just going to buy the part?!! I should have left then but I really needed my car. When he called me to tell me it was ready I nicely asked if I could pick it up the next morning he said nope come get it now! I asked if he would just leave it in the street, a public street, as I was out of town he said nope. My cousin had leave work to pick it up for me, and he was rude to her and made her wait. Jack is by far the best mechanic I have ever used. He is straight up, no frills and no sugar coating. Some people may not like that but instead what you get is a beyond competent mechanic who is as honest as they come and will always try and save you money. He has worked on all my cars from my 66 British MGB to my 2017 Ford F250 diesel and everything in between. The man knows cars. I highly recommend him, he doesn't use cheap-o Chinese made parts so the cost may be higher but you wont worry about it breaking again 3 months down the line. Of course if you want him to use cheaper parts he will resource them for you. Many times I have brought him my cars that he found were miss diagnosed and ended up saving me thousands. He could have just lied and did the "repairs" but he values the customer and makes his money with repeat business. I have moved to Laguna Beach and I still take my cars to him because I just am not going to find better service. read more

I have two cars. Brought one to Jack Bystrom that needed several things done to it including a timing belt. While I was there I thought I'd go ahead and have him do some other work I had been putting off. I asked him to replace one particular item and he told me it wasn't needed. Car has been working great! Honest mechanic. He could have replaced the part ( or not ) and charged me and I wouldn't have known the difference. There are two reviews on this site that I question. Jack has a fairly small shop in Rancho Cucamonga and I highly doubt that a person from San Pedro and Pasadena would take their cars that far for his services. Most of the reviews here are from this local Rancho/Ontario area. The most telling reason I question those two negative posts is that we have done business for more than 20 years with Jack and find him to be honest beyond reproach, skilled and always kind and accommodating. If you read all the other reviews they have had the same experience as we have had. I have referred many people to him and they too have continue to take their vehicle to him. My husband even trusts him with his classic 1957 chevy! We have also found that he will not do expensive work on your vehicle if it can be done for less. I think those contributors were referring to another shop or else they had a completely different experience than anyone I know! read more

Excellent place to get your car worked on. Very honest!!!! That's hard to find now!!! Took my truck to worked on and because I don't drive it much almost a year later the same issue came back. So I took it back and he was so understanding and replaced the part under warranty and didn't charge me anything extra. Where else can you find service like this?? Was recommended to go to Jack. I called, he said bring it down he would help pinpoint the problem.
