My car broke down for the fourth time this year as I was driving through Claremont at 5:45pm the other day. I needed to keep moving, but all the shops I saw on yelp were closing at 6 or had already closed. After phoning a few that wouldn't help till the morning, Andy answered and said he'd be happy to stay open past 6 and help me out. I had had this problem looked at four times over the past year, the most recent diagnosis ended up in a couple-thousand-dollar-fix. And obviously, at this point, was not fixed. Andy did a diagnosis of his own, explained it to me, and worked for two hours past his closing, seemingly to the dismay of his family, to fix this problem for me, calling in a friend of his to get me a part that night. The diagnosis made a lot of sense and so far I have had no trouble, and Andy seemed honest, looking me in the eye and explaining things to me without making me feel dumb. So far, no troubles. To recap: Andy stayed 2 hours past closing, seemingly to the dismay of his family, to fix a problem that has been plaguing my car all year and no other technician has been able to properly diagnose, explaining it to me simply and honestly, before charging me a fraction of the other fixes and sending me on my way. Andy is a loser he sold my friend a car it broke in three days. She took it back and he said it was the brake switch and charged her. three days later does the same thing she takes it back again he has it for three weeks. never calls so she finally calls him and he says tomorrow. so the next day she calls still not done. The next day she calls he says its ready so i take her to pick it up. This time he says the dome light was left on and it drained the battery. she drives the car home no more then three days it wont start again, This Andy is a crook nhe knew something was wrong with the car and Never did anything to try to resolve the problem.
