When the belt started squeaking again, I was told I needed to replace the alternator. I was lucky enough walk into South Street Auto Repair. They diagnosed an oil leak was causing the squeak (not the alternator LOL). Drake stayed in touch with me daily, as they walked me through different diagnostics, repairs and costs. They fixed my squeaky belt, oil leaks, manifold leak and failed ignition coil. Brian my mechanic was very cleanly working on my car and paid attention to every detail. Finally, my exhaust is quiet, my belt is not squeaking and a slight engine hesitation that has been on going is resolved. I can't say enough good about this repair facility. I would have saved a lot of time and money if they were the first shop I would have been my first repair shop!!!

They have done a terrible job on repainting my car. I took my car (dodge challenger) to this place on an insurance claim after getting a dent in my quarter panel from a deer. My car has been in their shop for a total of 6 weeks and repainted 4 times. When I got my car back the FIRST time, there was buildup of paint in the corner of my back window. So, I brought my car back and told them it was unacceptable. The owner tried to tell me it wasn't from them, but they will repaint the car "as a courtesy". My car is relatively new, has never had any other body damage work. There is no way it was not from them; they JUST painted that area. They took my car back and repainted it. I received my car back for the second time and they did an AWFUL JOB AGAIN. Not sure why they even tried to give it back. The color was completely off, my car is white and the panel they painted had brown spots throughout the ENTIRE panel. The clear coat was peeling off in multiple spots and I had overspray across my entire passenger door. So again, I took my car back and told them this is horrible. The owner then tried to tell me he couldn't see what I was talking about when it was very clear the work was garbage. After arguing with me about the paint job he took my car in for a THIRD time. I dropped my car off Monday and a week went by, I called to check up on my car Friday. I was told the painter has called out sick for the last 3 days and wouldn't be working on my car until the following Monday. This was 7 days my car has been sitting in their shop untouched. My car is drivable and it is beyond irritating that I was not called and explained the situation to where I could pick my car up and bring it back when they were ready to work on it. Now after they have painted it for the third time, they requested that an insurance adjuster come to look at the car because they "don't want to paint it again". I called my insurance and explained to them the situation and that I want to be there for the inspection. The Insurance adjuster came out to review the work performed, and pointed out MORE issues. My car was in the shop for another week making more adjustments and repainting twice . So, it has been there now 4 weeks straight and a total of 6 weeks of back and forth just to fix a dent. After getting my car back and waiting an entire month, I received my car with more issues. Peeling clear coat, a twisted door/window seal that they replaced, they didn't even put the seal in all the way it is just hanging inside my car. They also got paint INSIDE my car on my door panel. They scratched the wrap on my hood, ruined the seal on the back window, overspray on the seal of the front windshield and the back windshield. Every single time they told me the car will be completed on a certain day; it has not been done that day. They never bother to call and explain that, they have just waited until I would call and then act like I was an inconvenience to them. This has been an awful experience and I will NEVER recommend this place for ANYONE. In my opinion, I would advise anyone that reads this to never go to this hell hole. I have never been so disappointed in a service provided to me in my life, this was a huge waste of time and money. Now I have to bring my car somewhere else because they cannot complete it without messing it up. I understand shit happens but communication is important. I chose this place because I wanted to try and support a local business to a town that I recently purchased a home in. I have never been more disappointed. In my opinion, this company, does not give a shit about you, your car, or anything else for that matter. Just a low-end business that wants your money. Save your time and save your money. GO ANYWHERE ELSE.

I told this specific person, along with every other problem, I stated in that report that the car was overheating and leaking something. They checked it and they said, nope no leaks..? They knew this, but did not fix it. I went there three separate times because my service engine light came on. This all happened in seven days. Instead, I took it to Oreillys to get a second option on the scan. There it was- Lost Communication With Engine Coolant Pump Control Module and my emission status now says yellow, whereas before this accident, it was green. Of course they said it was my fault. No emission light came while they were running the codes. I find that extremely hard to believe. Take it or leave it as far the service center goes, I am just stating my own experience.
