If I could give this service NO stars I would. Dealing with this company has been an absolute nightmare. I am so shocked that Triple A would even send out an independent contractor as incompetent and unprofessional as these people. I spoke to a woman named Rose (I believe) who was extremely extremely disrespectful towards me. She hung up on me twice because I tried to correct her on a mistake she had made. I understand, mistakes happen and I was pleasant about it until she copped an attitude and told me that I needed to stop correcting her? ??? When I called back she yelled at me and told me that I was "a rude little brat." I asked to talk to a manager confused as how anyone could speak to a customer (whose keeping you employed by using your services) like this. She then told me she was the manager, which I find hard to believe being as though I was a manager when I was younger and I would never talk down to a guest even if they were wrong. A helpful tip to these people running this towing company: there are PLENTY of independent towing companies to use now a days. By providing inadequate, rude customer service you will eventually go out of business. Customer service is the reason people continue to use a service, but seeing as though you only have 3 stars and plenty of negative reviews, it seems like you could use some work in that department. While I was driving home all of a sudden my car made a very loud bang and I knew that I better stop. I open the hood and found a sparkplug lying at the bottom of my engine compartment. I was afraid that this was going to be a big problem. I call AAA and they work with C&D Towing. I was very pleased that the driver arrived within 15 mins. Phillip was very friendly and helpful. He picked up the sparkplug and was able to screw it back into the socket. He said that he was sure it wasn't stripped and I could drive. Sure enough I started my car and drove away. DON"T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They towed a vehicle for me today. My insurance company will reimburse BUT the outrageous cost and flat lie to get as much as possible from insurance is shameful. This company has NO INTEGRITY. They towed a car 3.6 miles. In average traffic, total transit time should be 15 minutes. When you tack on the time to lift, etc - maybe another 20 minutes. Their charge? $315.00 Totally unreasonable charge for the distance. Driver then had the nerve to claim almost 2 hours of time! Looks like I paid for the time they sat in the shadows, waiting and hoping I would ask for their help. Let me explain my encounter with C&D. Daughters car was involved in hitting object on freeway. Car was driven off freeway and parked on side street near freeway offramp. CHP was notified due to the debris on the roadway. C&D must have been listening to the radio communications as 2 trucks arrived at this out-of-the-way location communicated to the CHP dispatch before I did. Small talk while we waited for CHP. Then, they waited while I spoke with the insurance company on what I should do next. Insurance was very cooperative - stated I could wait the extra time for a tow they send, or if I prefer, use the company there (mistake 1). I spoke with the drivers, said no problem, insurance always takes care of (mistake 2). I gave the green light, 20 minutes later we were at the auto body shop where the driver presented a bill for $315.00. Needed to paid NOW. Outrageous. Lessons Learned: Mistake 1: Should have listened to my inner gut when I saw these vultures were already on site. Predatory Towing companies are very real. Deal with the Insurance company provided services only! Less aggravation and no surprises. They value the relationship. Mistake 2: If you find yourself on your own, don't assume reasonable just because the insurance will take care of. I don't want to be part of any shady operation that takes advantage of these situations. Charging outrageous dollars. In the end, we will pay. To the towing company: You have opened my eyes to the predatory nature of towing company's. You give the industry a bad name. I hear stories, and now I am a story. However, there will be a day when I need another tow. Because of the lack of integrity shown by your company and drivers, it will not be C&D. I will also be telling all of my friends about my encounter. Chances are, they too will need a tow and look elsewhere. In today's media age - it pays to be customer service oriented. You should be looking for ways to WOW your customer, not aggravate them to the point of disbelief. I heard an interesting comment the other day on the radio. Driverless cars are on the horizon. There is a very good chance that in 15 - 20 years(or sooner), the number of accidents will be reduced to almost nothing. This means that insurance, auto body shops and towing service companies will not be needed as much as they are today. Many will have to close - I have no doubt, C&D will be one of them. read more

They have a location in Moreno Valley, super unprofessional, manager of company was at Moreno Valley location and could not give me the address or cross streets, had me driving in circles for about 1 hr, finally got there to pick up vehicle, had no invoice for me, then made a incomplete invoice with just total on bottom, no hourly rate or storage prices, after paid and finally getting invoice, vehicle was blocked in and had to wait for 1 of his employees to show up to move the other car out the way. This company arrived at the scene after we were involved in an accident. We told the driver we needed to contact Allstate Insurance to see where to have it towed and he said he knew an Allstate contracted auto body place he would tow it to. He towed it from Pacific Beach all the way to Miramar Road, bypassing places the were actually on Allstates list of places they recommend, to a place that is not on their list of recommendations. By the time we got the estimate and talked to the adjuster and realized this was not a repair shop where Allstate will insure their work, the repair shop told us it would be about $1220 plus whatever it cost to put the car back together to move it to another garage. $695 for the towing plus $175 per night for storage charges. We decided it was not worth it and to go ahead and leave it there but I wanted to let the Tow Company know that this driver had been untruthful with us and had also towed it way further than was necessary. I have left six messages with different people at C and D Towing over the past month. Each time they have assured me the manager will call me right back. I've given up because I realized I will never hear back and that this must just be the way this company does business. read more

So this happened the other day, maybe 10 days ago. My friend who is disabled went to visit his roommate in a nursing home here in El Cajon. In a motorized electric cart. The cart died just a few blocks from the place he started. It had been left there overnight for the patient and the nursing home said... Get it out of here. My friend rode it over the night before. He got a ride to the nursing home from someone on their way to work. The cart wasn't charged after the drive over, so it died. My friend started home with it. He is disabled after a car accident. Cant walk far and his hip and back give him alot of pain. He called his neighbor, a mutual friend of ours, and asked her to find someone to bring a rope and haul him home. The friend he called, by the way, was at home, on her couch, with a cast on each leg. I wasn't available, so they started calling tow yards, the others said NO. C&D sent a driver who helped my friend out. It one of the BIG TOW TRUCKS. It wasn't very far, but people were taking pictures because I am sure it looked hilarious. They had given them a quote and they willing to pay it. They got to the apartment and the driver said, " NO CHARGE. IT IS ON THE HOUSE." You have NO IDEA how grateful and blown away both he and his neighbor were. They live on a very fixed income. This company has a HEART PEOPLE. Is that even possible these days? I say a resounding YES. I want to thank the C&D company for what you did. Most companies just want to be paid, which is understandable, but this company saw that this was a situation that they could make a difference in and for that I GIVE YOUR COMPANY ALL THE STARS EVER POSSIBLE. My Vette refused to start. I called around to find a company with a flatbed because dragging a Vette behind a tow truck is a major mistake and found C & D. Susan, who's terrific, told me they not only had a flatbed, but they could send one out right away. Technician Benji arrived and helped me maneuver my unstartable Vette out of my narrow garage and down my long, very steep driveway. He then loaded the car onto the flatbed with such expertise that he made it look easy but, believe me, it wasn't easy. The car was delivered to the dealer safely and promptly. I couldn't have asked for better service or nicer people to deal with. I'll definitely call C & D if I need tow service again. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! read more

The Place is a dump in the middle of no where, the office is a trailer cut in half, there are dogs that try to attack you as you walk in. This company is 100% crooked. My son was in an accident and the car was moved to their yard until my insurance company could pick it up. When we got to the car to remove our personal belongings, the entire car had been gone through and his airpods and a bluetooth speaker were missing. They acted entirely unsurprised, like it was standard for people's stuff to be stolen. Even suggested that it was probably the Sherriffs that did it. We noted the items as stolen, and signed the release for my insurance company to pick it up. when .y insurance company came, they refused to release it, earning them another days storage. The day after myninsurance company attempted to retrieve the car, they filed a lein on the car and said it would be sold at auction...... unbelievable. Please file complaints with the the county if you have had any issues like this. They need to lose their contract. Tax payer money shouldn't fund dishonest businesses! read more

I'm a homeless person that lived in a rv on the streets on santee and I was unable to pay registration due to all my parking tickets!! Well the police called this tow company out and I was lasers in the rv when the tow truck was hacking the rv up!! Police never knocked on rv to let me know I was awoken to this and almost fell out of rv trying to see what was going on!! The tow guy had no clue I was in rv and he said to the police hey there is someone in there!! Well the police were completely heartless and were adamant about towing my only home away and the nice tow guy was so compassionate and kept telling me sorry!! I knew he had no fault but his compassion helped me stay calm as I could!! This tow yard let me get my belongings and they were all so sweet and helpful!! I got stuck on the side of the freeway and needed a flatbed since my car is low. Usually a flatbed tow takes longer than other trucks, but this driver came within 10 mins!! The driver was very careful and safe with my car. He made sure all the wheels were locked in place (last time the tow truck driver only hooked up one wheel). He was also very friendly. English wasn't his first language, but he still made very nice conversation. I'm glad that he was able to get me out of the freeway and back home quickly! read more

Had a choice of batteries and I purchased the higher CCA. Called at 3:30 and Zack was pulling away at 4:15. Same battery was more expensive elsewhere without installation.
