Worst experience! Only purchased beef patties. Young lady at counter was rude. I asked for spicy beef. She said she doesn't know what's there. And continued put 3 patties in a bag. So I'm supposed to be good with whatever you give me. When I asked if they were spicy beef, her response was stellar - "what did I tell you?" Then she decides to ask someone in the back and continue to tell me she doesn't know. And ask me what do I want? That should have been my queue to leave w/o purchasing anything. Because why should I pay for bad service? I still proceeded, with the transaction. Took a bite and it was horrible. The crust was not flaky, didn't have that authentic coloring, the crust was too hard all over. The filling was not even substantial. And the size of the patty was rather small. Horrible!!!! Completely missed the mark on Carribean cuisine! When you ruin oxtail you need to shut down your restaurant! Overpriced based on the quantity not to mention the quality! Who the hell put frozen peas n carrots with corn in cabbage???!!!! The oxtails ( the four small cut ones that I got for 25$) were sweet as hell! I'm just pissed and don't wanna talk about or think about this experience anymore....never again will they see my face. read more

My wife and I love his food, the owner is very friendly while also generous. the rice Is moist and fragrant. jerk chicken sauce is hot, tangy and sweet. Cabbage is and the curry Patties are superrrr good! read more

Came to this spot after leaving my doctors office- I got a shot and it was recommended I eat. I stopped by around 1:50pm. The person behind the glass serving food was friendly. He was wearing gloves and a mask but it wasn't pulled all the way up. There was a dry erase board stating lunch specials but no prices were listed. The LED TVs that would include the menu only 2 were actually on and the pricing was vague. I ordered curry shrimp , rice and peas, cabbage and Mac and cheese . The curry shrimp was fine -- but it's on a warmer so I think the warmer is helping the shrimp overcook. But the curry sauce was decent. I LOVE cabbage, it's good , I ate mine with my rice and peas which gave the rice and peas more flavor. The macaroni would've be even delicious , if it's was hot. It wasn't over seasoned ; however you can taste they used bay leaves for the noodles while cooking . The melted cheese crust Was so good. I ate it while driving so I didn't get a picture. My curry shrimp plate , with rice and peas, cabbage & a side order of Mac came up to 13.77 They open at 10:30 and there's a hand written sign stating "mask must be worn inside" --this is a small lot in a gas station plaza so I assume the capacity isn't over 5/6 for proper social distancing in the lobby. They do have authentic drinks in the cooler for purchase . Also cake , they have cake slices -- I'm not a cake person so I didn't bother tasting . The owner assured me I'd be back, and honestly I'll probably come back for the Mac and cheese.... if they would heat it up , and the cabbage. So ...:a veggie plate which I could get anywhere. Excellent choice for oxtails. A large order comes with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. The rice and peas were a very generous portion. Everything except the plantains were actually. Also, a minor detail but much appreciated is that they added gravy to the rice without being asked to. The oxtails themselves were larger than is normal around here but otherwise standard. The flavor of the oxtails was good and well balanced. The cabbage was stewed well but not mushy. The plantains were maybe a bit old and could've been cooked a little longer. Overall, the flavor is good and well worth the price. The service is fast and efficient. The establishment is clean. The only thing I disliked was that there are whole all spice in the rice and peas. They look like peas and so you can imagine my surprise. It's a minor inconvenience for the flavor of the food. I will definitely frequent this place. Take note of the intersection and time of day. I loveeee their oxtails! I used to eat here at least once a week until the prices raised. However, still eat here very often to the point where the owner knows me by face! Of course the price change was a shock but literally everything is going up in price so I can't blame them for making their money. & honestly the oxtails are so good I'll probably pay whatever! Their macaroni is always great too. I've also had their chicken & beef Pattie's which are also good but better fresh of course. But highly recommend! read more

I found this place on Tuesday June 16,2020. I was so excited to support a black owned restaurant. I came into the restaurant was greeted. The gentleman who I didn't know was the owner at the time was just finishing up with a customer. I started to look at the menu so that I could place my order. I saw that he wasn't wearing a mask while talking over the plates he was making but it really hadn't sit in. I placed my order and decided to get something for my child as well. That's where the problem begin. I read from the menu that is clearly up I specified a medium chicken and a side of Macaroni and cheese pointing to the items on the menu. Let's just make this short and sweet I paid for my order realized I was over charged. Brought it to the attention of cashier who said it was her first day. She explained to gentlemen and he went back and forth with me. I was in such disbelief that he was going on like that with a customer I left the restaurant with no food or a refund. I called back the next day spoke with the manager who said she would handle it and asked if she could call me back. She called left a message on my voicemail that she saw the ticket and would handle it. I called back 2 days later to inquire and started out speaking to another lady but ended up being screamed at and spoken to so rudely by guess who the owner. All over $26.00. I pray that management understands that it's not right to treat your customers nasty! Even if you think the customer is wrong it's all about the delivery of the response to your customer. Please invest in customer service skills. It will take your business to another level. I'm out of my money and no product now that sucks! read more

This place is authentic and amazing. Great owner and amazing food. Oxtails and beef patties are definitely a must try.

Been here on multiple occasions The food is GOOD. Great servers, lovely attitude always smiling. I was distributed on my last visit. The dark guy there I think the owner came from the back yelling. He was yelling at this employee in front of customer. I got scared because I didn't know what was going on. I just thought that was so unprofessional and unacceptable. He was extra LOUD. I was very eager to try this spot but I was in a rush. So I ordered a beef pattie, a chicken pattie, and a side of plantains. My total came up to something $8.13. All I had was a $20. They lady asked if I had .13 and I told her no. So she decided to keep my .87. This is a big deal for me. I understand there is a so-called "change shortage" but when is it comes to established taking my money that's a problem and I think of all the people they have done this too. That's a problem. It's not my job to have change it's the business's responsibility or just take credit cards. Then to top it off I bite into my patty and it was so damn dry even the plantains sucked they should have paid me to eat there. I will not be back.
