Great food, service and conversation. I'm from Philly and visited C&N for the first time and was not disappointed at all.

While waiting, I heard who I assume was the owner loudly shouting at and berating staff, and the entire atmosphere immediately became uncomfortable. It genuinely sounded disrespectful and degrading. You could literally feel the tension in the room. No matter how good the food might be, I personally can't enjoy a place where employees are being spoken to like that in front of customers. It honestly made me feel bad for the workers. People are trying to do their jobs, and being humiliated or yelled at publicly is unnecessary and unprofessional. And honestly, maybe this is part of why the customer service felt so off. If management treated staff with more respect and patience, maybe customers would have a much better experience too. Hope the employees there are treated better behind closed doors, because what I witnessed was enough to make me leave before even ordering.

I ordered the oxtails, rice and peas, and it came with cabbage and plantains. I also ordered a side of Mac and cheese. The oxtails were good but not good enough to go back. The rice and peas were not fresh, like they just reheated it up from yesterday. The plantains were cut too thick and tasted like cardboard. . The mac and cheese was good. I don't see myself coming back here but if I do, I would probably order the wings and call it a day.

Lexie, our waitress, was so patient and attentive to our requests. I didn't get the bartenders name, but she concocted my drink request perfectly! The manager, beautiful sweetheart Ruthy's energy and vibe was unmatched!!! From the moment we walked in...though a little uncertain of what to expect....everyone was so quick to great us and seat us! Down to the excellent service and drinks, we demanded to meet the Chef, Junior, to personally thank him for the amazing food....such a kind, humble young man!! We intend to eat here every night until we leave this weekend!! I highly recommend Spice House and I will certainly dine here EVERY time I'm in Atlanta!! Thank you so much Ruthy, Lexie and Junior!! Considering I already think NYC has thee best food options, I went in open and hopeful to be proven wrong. I arrived excited and ready to vibe, but that excitement quickly faded. The aesthetic, or lack thereof, was disappointing. I expected something vibrant, colorful, or even a chic modern look. Instead, the space felt neglected and unkept. I was also surprised by the absence of music, which immediately threw off the atmosphere, though I tried to keep in mind that this isn't NYC. Once seated, I noticed how mash-up the chairs were. Mine literally had exposed nails. Still, in anticipation of mimosas and Jamaican food for brunch, I shifted slightly to the side and focused on enjoying my best friend's company. Our server was just alright. Very much giving "here for the paycheck," not necessarily service-driven. Unfortunately, that's become common these days, so I adjusted my expectations, and tipped accordingly. The menu itself had promise. I appreciated the Southern fusion options with a Jamaican twist, and the hookah menu was surprisingly comprehensive, though we chose not to order one. We opted for the unlimited mimosas, and to be fair, we definitely got our money's worth. That said, I was disappointed to learn they were pre-mixed. I prefer fresh orange juice with popped brut or sparkling, and once I saw how the drinks were prepared, it made sense for a busy brunch crowd- just not my preference. For food, we ordered the oxtail egg rolls to start, along with the Spice Breakfast and chicken and waffles. Everything was... fine. No real complaints, but no standout moments either. Overall, the brunch was okay. I might give them another try for dinner, but this visit didn't quite live up to the expectations.

Ok, so I'm originally from Florida which is very well known for its different cultures and food…read more Jamaican is one of my fav in Florida. And trust there is sooo many Jamaican spots in south Florida. I am also Caribbean myself, so I have a good idea what certain foods like Jamaican, Mexican, Cuban, Haitian, Puerto Rican, Dominican etc. should be tasting like. I hate to write negative reviews, because this men (the owner) was so sweet, kind and the service was great. Unfortunately, when we arrive the place is really dirty. We went there because one of my friends loves the turkey wings there and she recommended it. We order turkey plate, cabbage, sweet plantain, rice &peas and jerk chicken. I was afraid to consume the food and get some sort of poisoning. When I bent over to take a look at the food it did not look good. I asked myself are people really eating this? Then I looked in the back and the kitchen was also dark and a dirty mess. Mountains of dirty pots and pans. I said fk it, let's see what this is all about. See my receipt attached. Sad to say we took a bite of everything, and we ended up throwing it ALL away. Had to go spend more money to buy something else to eat. I do NOT recommend this place at all. I'm sure at one point his food was fire years ago. Also, inspections are critical to restaurant business and OUR HEALTH. I'm not sure he has had one since 2024.
