Got a referral from home warranty company. They came out initially 1.5 months ago to fix attic fan; have made 3 visits and it's still incomplete; ghosted me; said they would follow up and haven't. It's still not working and it's 90 plus degrees out. Horrible experience. They should at least admit when they don't know how to fix something so I can find someone who does. read more

Awful service. They replaced my swamp cooler working on a claim from American Home Shield insurance. The work was shoddy, they never tested the float valve so 30 minutes after they left water was streaming out of my overflow valve. I had to pay for additional work required upfront (over $1K) including $375 for electrical work, I asked the tech on-site what they did and he said all he did was bend the existing electrical, the owner wouldn't credit me any of the charge. read more

We had C and R out for a First American Home Warranty claim. Nick was helpful as a tech, but it is impossible to reach the office and there is no customer service. C and R schedules appointments without calling, and checks over text message to confirm when the appointment is approaching. My service ticket was also closed without the tune up being complete as my furnace needed a repair first under a new ticket. I tried calling the office numerous times and never received a call back. I received a message from first American home warranty indicating C&R tried to contact me which was not the case and the ticket got closed. I opened a new claim ticket with another company for better service. read more

I've been trying to reach them since last week, they tell you to text them, multiple times I tried to get updates from them on my heat. I've been without heat now for 3 weeks. Finally today, after 6 texts and multiple calls, they told my warranty company they can't complete the work (which they knew last week, but waited 4.5 days to actually say something). Our furnace went out during a cold spell and Rick came out to inspect it for our home warranty company. Rick did his best to help us get our furnace covered, but unfortunately our claim was denied. Rick worked with us and found a replacement option within our price point. He and his crew were very communicative throughout the process and got the job done in less than the estimated time. This company is terrible. Terrible!!! I was assigned them by FAHW to look at a underperforming swamp cooler. They came out and stated it just needed maintenance. They never looked at the switch that also did not seem to be clicking into place properly. A few days later, swamp cooler was blowing hot air. Text them back (Cause no one answers the phone) and no response for days. Called FAHW and then finally got a text with an appt time. (Just a day/time assignment of a time. No call, text or request if that worked for me). They then came out got back on the roof and said it was the pump and they needed to order parts. Nothing again for days. Side note, it was almost a 100 degrees every day during this. They then again assigned a date/time without a phone call or text. They came out replaced the switch and left... without one word! Literally just walked out of the house and got in their truck. They did not get on the roof to make sure the new switch made the pump work. Spoiler alert! It did not work! Another several days to get a response. I told them never mind, I will find a contractor that knows what they are doing. I called FAHW and they assigned a new contractor. The next day C&R came out to my house without permission, without notice. They got on my roof and I assume they replaced the pump. Great right... wrong. 6 days later, blowing hot air again. Had a REAL HVAC company come out and look. These idiots did not hook the water hose up securely to the pump. Sol, I have just been dumping water off my roof for 6 days. I am sure that bill will be fun. I now need another pump, since it's been running with no water. DO NOT use C&R! If you are assigned them from a warranty company ask for it to be reassigned! I am guessing this is the only business they get since their reviews are so bad!!! read more

C and R Repair came out to our house for a First American Home Warranty for 2 separate claims for 2 furnaces about a week apart. While they did schedule the initial appointments without contacting us first, they rescheduled when we reached out and they were very accommodating. They were friendly and professional when they came out to inspect and then replace the furnaces. There was a small problem after the install of the second furnace. Rick was very responsive and made sure to get someone back out to our house fast to fix the problem (even though we weren't sure if the problem was due to furnace replacement). read more

At 2:35 pm I contacted the company asking if the technician will still come and i mentioned I took time off from work to wait for the service. I also mentioned that if the technician would not show I will charge them a no show fee. Immediately the appointment was canceled and I was wished "good luck". C and R repair was sent out to our home to repair our a/c fan by American Home Shield. We placed the work order on Saturday evening and a few hours later, we had an appointment scheduled for us for Monday morning. Their main office called me about two hours before they were supposed to be here and then I got a text message letting me know who the contact was that would be heading my way 20 minutes before they got to my house. Rick was the technician that came out and I cannot say enough good things about him! He was professional, honest and very helpful. He repaired the blower motor and made sure that it was working correctly before heading out. I can't speak to their pricing because the service was covered by the home warranty. What I will say though is where one company was concerned, they were talking about replacing the whole unit even prior to sending someone out to look at the problem! They were suggesting that just based on the age of our unit. Thankfully Rick knew exactly what he was doing and we didn't have to spend thousands of dollars for something we didn't actually need at this time. read more

The technicians that came for initial analysis were very nice and informative. I need a new motor and now cannot reach anyone with a time frame or confirmation that the part was found. I have left 3 messages with no results. I have company flying in and may have to cancel because my home is at 80 degrees and unbearable. I'm only as for a status update and don't blame the company if a part is not available, but I do fault them for not communicating. 8/6/21 - 1 day after my notice above....I have done the search myself and found the parts, within 2 hours, that C&R say they can't find. I still have no status update on my repair, have very little air and the temperatures are rising. Although the tech that came on site were so nice, I would not recommend C&R based on the office personnel. I've been with American Home Shield only a couple months. When I got an email from AHS that it was HVAC Tune-Up Time, I applied. They contacted C and R Repair. A tech came over in mid-October and my furnace checked out fine. It had been a pleasant fall day and I did not need to turn the system on that day. After a chilly night, I turned the furnace on the next morning and heard a noise. I thought it was the landscape crew outside blowing leaves with their leaf blowers. The windows were shut and the noise was annoying but not overly loud. Then, I realized the noise was from my own furnace, a noise I'd never heard the furnace make before. I texted C and R Repair. Kurt came over and in 3 minutes located the source of the sound. The problem was fixed in three minutes and the annoying sound was gone. I don't know if the problem after the first visit was merely coincidental. I did like that it was so easy to get the problem corrected. read more

This company was sent by American Home Shield to inspect my furnace. It was very old and leaking Carbon Monoxide as I found during a tune-up a previous company did, hence why I had submitted a request to American Home Shield. However according to them my furnace was "in great condition". Not only did they miss a huge danger in my system, they then never submitted any report to American Home Shield that forced me to eat a bunch of costs. This company is a danger, never use them. read more

This is by far the least professional, least knowledgable company I have ever dealt with. I was forced to work with C & R Repair because I have an American Home Shield Warranty. Five times C & R was sent out to my home for two different jobs, and five times they failed to repair anything. But this last time was by far the worst. My furnace had gone out in January, in the foothills of Colorado, so it was below freezing every night. Kurt came out from C & R to look at it the first time. He supposedly cleaned a sensor to get it working again, but only 3 weeks later the furnace was out again. Then C & R sent out someone else out, to actually replace the part they only cleaned the first time. Well this guy replaced the part, and said it was fixed, the heater was working, hooray. Except, about four hours later my daughter and I smelled a very strong odor coming from the basement. When I went down the stairs, the smell of gas nearly knocked me over. We had to evacuate our home for five hours in the freezing cold. The fire department shut off our gas, and ok'd us to go back in our home after there gas cleared out. It is now 20 degrees, and every window in our home is open with no heater. I of course could not get hold of Rick, Kurt, or anyone else at C & R. So I was forced to call a legitimate plumber out to the house at 11PM, which costs me $500. He shows up and immediately sees the problem. The guy from C & R that replaced the part, left one entire end of the main gas line into the furnace barely connected, it was dumping out gas. He says we were lucky we were not all killed. If we hadn't smelled the gas, and had gone to bed, my family and I would have all died. I, 100% urge anyone that reads this, to never ever, ever, let C & R Repair anywhere near your home or your family. Oh and on a side note. the previous 3 times that C & R was in my home was right after we bought it. One of our bedrooms in the house wasn't blowing any hot air. C & R came out once and couldn't figure it out. Then I called them back out through American Home Shield two more times. They never could figure it out. Finally I decided to take a look at it. I figured out in five minutes with a piece of string, that the vent was a return. How could a professional HVAC repair company not be able to figure out in three trips, what I figured out with piece of a string in five minutes? Avoid C & R Repair at all costs if you know what is good for you. read more

I got stuck with C & R repair through my home warranty company. My furnace went out on January 5 and had to be replaced. It took between Jan 5 and Feb 18 to have the work completed. Their install caused TWO carbon monoxide incidents and they had to come out twice for that. When they installed the new furnace they also installed cooling coils for air conditioning and I bought a cooling unit for it from them. When warmer weather came around, they came out to install the outside unit. It took them FOUR tries on four different visits to fix a problem where the Freon was draining out of the lines. Finally at the end of May it was fixed. A mere three months later, my brand new unit is not forcing air through the vents, so no AC. When I called them today, they said I had to go through my home warranty for repair. I told them I'd be sure and demand a different company. Avoid them at all costs. read more

I got stuck with C&R Repair through American Home Shield home warranty. They wrote that it was time for my winter furnace check-up and sent out this company. They were horrible on so many levels! The guy they sent out was very young and clearly did not know what he was doing (he had to call a supervisor for advice). Previous to his being here, the furnace (only 7 years old) was working fine. He gave it a complete bill of health when he left. A week later, when the weather turned cold, I turned the heat up and - nothing! Even with the temperature set to 71, in the morning, I wake up to 64 degrees in the house. I turn the temperature higher and it takes hours to warm up to even 70 (and I think the house warms up only because the weather outside warms up in the afternoon). When I called C&R to have them come back out, the receptionist was extremely rude! She told me this wasn't their fault, the furnace likely broke down in the 10 days since their technician said everything was working well, I had to get a service ticket from AHS before they could fix it, no one could come out until the following week, and she'd have the owner call me. I haven't heard back from them since! I would strongly recommend against using this company. They are unprofessional and unhelpful and don't stand behind their work. read more

My name is Lisa. I rarely write reviews but I think everyone should be warned about spending money with Rick or Kurt at C&R repair. My 9 year old refrigerator was not staying cold enough, but it WAS working prior to the visit by Kurt. He said it was the starter that wasn't working and then said 'how does $125 sound?' Of course, this sounded amazing and I said if that is the issue please proceed with the repair. Kurt said NOTHING about any other potential issues that could be affecting performance. Fast forward 5 hours...my refrigerator NO longer works and I call to report the issue. Rick, the scheduler, then tells us it is likely the compressor and is not worth fixing....and there is no refund for the worthless service call. I've called again since then to ask them to reconsider the $125 service call that resulted in the refrigerator being entirely non- functional and they have not bothered to return my call. PS - I was willing to pay for travel time....but they didn't even call back. I'll be posting this review everywhere I can because I am judged on performance in my job and this would be unacceptable. C & R was sent by my home warranty company to fix my washer it was leaking oil. the first guy ordered a bunch of stuff. the second guy took the whole machine apart, then couldn't get it right and called his boss rick. the two of them got it back together, rick assured me it was all fine but i needed to run the cleaning cycle monthly. it wasn't grease, just built up soap scum. wrong i told him its always been cleaned monthly. they left, my wife ran a load of $200 sheets and the machine leaked oil worse than ever, the sheets are ruined. also they forgot to level the machine so it skips all around the floor. i called the next morning, hours later i got a message from the office person saying "we can't help you someone else needs to do it. sorry for any inconvenience." C&R got paid hundreds of dollars to run up a bill, all they did was make money for themselves. then refused to even fix their own mistakes. i am making sure the warranty company knows about this. no wonder my premium keeps going up each year. read more

They got me on the schedule the following day, were very professional, and cognizant of the wood floors. When the stove didn't quite fit, they found a resolution and came back the next day to complete the job. Would definitely recommend them! read more

Our ice maker gave up the ghost. I submitted a work request online to C & R and set up an appt. two days forward. The next day I got a confirmation email and a call. Rick called ahead the day of the appt. and showed up on time. He had a replacement in his truck and saved me mega-$$ by using just the basic parts and scavenging the good stuff off my existing ice maker. Like the one lady said, if we could give C and R Repair ten stars, we would! We had been without A/C for two and a half weeks (of which ten were 90+ degrees!), but we were at the mercy of our maintenance insurance company who referred our problem to their local representative, a rather unresponsive and very disreputable company, whose "tech" showed up, spent ten minutes outside, refused to look at the inside components, then left saying, "it's blowing air." Five minutes later, it quit, but the surly "tech" said "it was working when I left," and his "company" refused to come back. Thankfully, we found Rick, who showed up the next day. He was friendly, professional, extremely competent, and spent about twenty minutes assessing the problem. He checked out the entire system both inside and out and located the problem. He thoroughly serviced the unit, picked up that last guy's trash which had been left behind the condenser. (The other guy had also left the electrical panel open, exposing it and the breakers to the weather and sprinkler system! I had closed it before that caused serious problems.) I have written our insurance carrier, recommending they make C and R Repair their "go-to" company for all appliance and A/C problems. Rick and his company would definitely ensure their image would be well represented. Our little dog, who never goes up to any stranger, ran right up to Rick and jumped into his arms when Rick bent down to pat him. I have had a very poor experience with this company. They were hired to repair my dishwasher and after 3 separate visits, it is still inoperable. They schedule appointments without coordinating with the customer. They send you a text with no notification that they will be there the next day within a 2 hour window. I have never had a company assume you can accommodate their schedule with no notice. They are working for the warranty company's interest not the customer. I do not recommend this company. read more
