Our Samsung Ice Maker quit working. After trying several home remedies including replacing water filter and you-tube repair videos to no avail, I went surfing for a repair service and learned that several companies wanted $120 for just a trip and diagnostic charge. Fortunately I then found "Quality U Expect Appliance Repair". During our telephone call, Skip, the owner walked me through a few diagnostic procedures to determine the ice maker condition at no charge. We have an LG refrigerator that is needing repair. Its about 12 years old but has been good to us so far. We called LG did the diag and they said we are have trouble with the compressor. We called the recommended repair companies and was told an outrageous price for the repair. We where torn between a new refrig or get it repaired. I have used them once before and they did a great job, I called them explained the issue, not only did Skip explain the possible issues but he came out and did a diag and found a different problem. Called about LG refrigerator making loud vibrating noise to see if it was fixable or if I needed to buy a new refrigerator (my experience with LG has not been positive). OUTSTANDING FURNACE REPAIR I had a serious problem with our furnace. It hadn't worked all fall and all winter. I usually try to repair my own appliances but I wasn't able to get my nearly brand new LG oven fixed. I had replaced the main circuit board, tested the thermal fuses, everything I could think of. This is a family owned business. Had them come out to inspect my dishwasher. Pulled it out, found out that mice had chewed through wiring. They offered zero solution to fix the issue, told me they were going to bill me $95 for them to come out and basically tell me they weren't going to do anything and no follow up as to how I could resolve this. Technician was less than friendly to say the least and just turned around and walked out. Calling my warranty company now to figure out how to get a company out who can offer a solution that this company absolutely failed to do. I'd give them 0 stars if it was an option. Extremely upset with the service overall. ETA: Please refer to his reply below for an example of their poor customer service. My service call was placed through First American Home Warranty. Which needed to be the company billed for the service. For some reason they believed that I am expected to pay the $95 they tried billing me for (should have been sent to the warranty company), for them to tell me they won't help. While I understand that LG refused to provide parts, this company simultaneously offered *NO* solution to my issue originally at hand while still holding their hand out for showing up to do absolutely nothing. I have since spoken with my home warranty company who has arranged a different company to come fix my appliance the correct way, or at the very least offer a solution to my issue. Poor customer service, poor service provided, and they didn't even bother to answer my warranty company when they tried calling for a follow up status update to get the proper information to relay to a competent appliance repair company. read more

I found Quality U Expect via NextDoor and checked their ratings on Yelp. People mostly had good things to say, so I went ahead and hired them. These guys are booked pretty far out (I had to wait about a week for someone to come out.) I'm ok with the wait time, because I'd rather have someone who can get the job done well. However -- I had a technician take a look at my washer, which was not draining during the spin cycle. After taking a look at the machine, the technician quoted me $390 to fix and replace several parts in the washer. I asked for a breakdown of the parts and labor to understand why the price was so high. For $390, I could buy a replacement washer! They pushed back saying that the system doesn't break it down that way. When I inquired further about the pricing, they said that the technician actually forgot to list one of the parts required, so my total should have been higher, but they were "honoring our original price, our mistake is your gain." When I asked for the Yelp discount, they responded that the price quoted already included a 25% off discount (which nobody had told me I received.) I felt that the lack of price transparency was a little sketchy, so I had another technician from a different company come out despite having to pay another trip charge. On his trip, we discovered that the problem was actually not with the washer at all, but instead due to a clog in the washing machine drain, which was forcing the water back into the machine. I can't believe I almost paid $390 to fix a washer that wasn't broken! read more

Our LG washed broke after 8 years. LG customer service gave us a few authorized repair services. The first one I called wasn't helpful at all. Won't give me an estimate and just told us it'll cost $85 for them to come out and run diagnostics. I called QUE next and Skip was so helpful! He asked some details about my washer history and asked me to find the receipt of original purchase. Luckily we got it from Best Buy online and was able to find purchase history. He walked me through a few diagnostics over the phone and then determined our motor was broken. He immediately submitted a claim to LG, ordered a replacement motor, and scheduled the service within 3 working days. The service guy, Mike, called early in the morning to give me a 2 hour window and then called right before the start of the 2 hour window to let me know he's on his way. He was very punctual and friendly as well. He checked out the washer and replaced the motor. We ran a short cycle and it's functioning as new! He also provided some helpful tips on how to maintain the washer and get rid of the mildew smell. I paid for the labor but the parts was covered under LG 10 year motor warranty. I'm extremely happy with the customer service and expertise of quality U expect. read more
