Best garden center/nursery I've been to. Immediately when we got out the car we were greeted by the owner and asked us to let him know if we had any questions. The store has an outside and inside area, both are organized so nicely it makes shopping and looking for what you want really easy. We ended up going with a money tree plant with a pot for it. They repotted it for a small fee which was so convenient and looked better with the small black rocks they placed on top. My partner brought her new orchid because she needed a pot and soil for it and even though it didn't come from their shop, he also helped us repot it so she didn't have to buy a whole bag of orchid soil. it is a cute nursery. lots of healthy plants and herbs, vegetables, fruit trees etc. Very good service. Bought couple of serranos, cilantros, laurel plants. Hope they survive and thrive. I wanted to buy an avacado tree bit too expensive, like $160 and after spending all that money, not sure if it will survive. About a month ago I sent my sister in Redding a picture of one of their huge Monsteras and my sister couldn't live without one for her growing houseplant collection. Gavin went back and forth with her, texting pictures, so she could select the perfect addition for one of her bedrooms. Talk about customer service! I've purchased multiple tillandsia (air plants) from them, and my mom regularly scoops up their milkweed for her Monarch nursery. I've been here a handful of times and they sell the healthiest plants as well as tools and cute pots to go with your new baby. The workers here are very nice and helpful, when choosing your next house plant. There's enough parking and so many species of plants to choose from (including outdoor plants and succulents). Just found this place last weekend, and it is a Gem of a garden center. I was looking for a hard to find succulent to replace one that drowned in the recent rainstorms. Although, they didn't have the Eve's needle crest I was looking for, they did have another of the same Genus. The young lady and man, who's names I can't recall were so nice, helpful and informative, that I felt as though I had been a long time customer. I ended up buying the succulent they had available as well as a beautiful clay pot. They even potted it with beautiful multi colored stones. What a great addition to our town of Lawndale! Customer service, knowldege and experience, prices, location, parking - they've got it all! On top of that, a family owned business which I love to support. I went in with my daughter on a random day, and Gavin showed us around and as we chatted I mentioned some family had been in earlier in the week (my mom, sister, aunts, cousin, etc. on different days) - and he remembered who they were, even their names and some of their plant and gardeing interests! Now that's customer service. When I went back with my husband and kids to attend their grand opening on 4/3, Gavin was as personable as before, remembering our names and providing great services even though the place was packed and I know they were super busy! The grand opening fit in with our Lawndale hometown feel - music, food, friendly neighbors, dogs...it was a great event, and we got great customer service from all the staff who helped us, from directing us to parking, answering our questions and giving us advice, helping us carry stuff around the block to our car, etc. I wish C & S Garden Center lots of success at this new location, I know I'll be back! read more
