Big thank you to Lidia in Customer Service who in all of my years shopping at Home Depot, I have never had an employee do so much to try to help resolve a extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with the delivery of a outdoor furniture patio set. Yes the delivery issues were with an outside vender but the patio set was ordered online from Home Depot and after numerous calls directly to the vender who would do nothing to help remedy the situation, I went to the store and spoke with Lidia in Customer Service. I had a party planned for this weekend and the delivery came in 3 separate deliveries and were delayed numerous times causing me to have to hire someone to drag the heavy boxes inside each time and missed my arranged time with my assembly man. Lidia came to the rescue and arranged to pick up the boxes when they were finally delivered and have then assembled and returned to me in less than 48 hours. Her communication skills and customer service skills are excellent . She kept in constant contact with me and updated me so that I knew she would delivery on her promise. Having managed Customer Service departments throughout my entire career, I would have hired Lidia in a heartbeat. Bravo! read more

I asked Juan from garden if he could see if there were anymore in the store. Juan went beyond expectation to look for the other bags of charcoal. The end result was there were none left in the store. I definitely will not return to this place, nor do I recommend it. The staff is rude and discourteous. I went to the store to do some shopping, but when I went to the checkout, I had to abandon my purchases because the woman working there refused to help me pay. She claimed that Home Depot no longer has employees to process payments--that the customer has to do it themselves. Why should a customer have to do the work that is supposed to be their job? I then called the manager, but the person who answered left me on hold for an hour, and I eventually had to hang up. Terrible service. We went to Home Depot to have some laminate flooring installed. Stephanie was very helpful throughout the process which is why we came back despite some red flags with previous jobs. She deserves 5 stars for her efforts and expertise. The process was long, arduous, convoluted, chaotic, expensive, and time consuming with several different departments involved and very few of them coordinated with each other. In the end the installers refused to do the job stating that it would be too much work. Other professional flooring experts said that it was doable and that the Floorgate installers just didn't want to do it. This was clear from their general attitude. We were left in a major bind as laminate flooring takes time to order and install and we had short term rental guests arriving in just a couple days. We were also told that the laminate product was not of a high quality even though it had cost us a premium. We tried to move forward with a carpet option but even that would take 2-3 weeks if we went through Home Depot. We realized we wouldn't be able to work with HD if we wanted the job done in time so we started the return / refund process which was also convoluted and full of hassles. In the end we went through a family owned business and were very happy with the result. I believe it was meant to be and happy that we didn't end up going with Home Depot. I recommend going with smaller businesses that have great reviews if you want your flooring to done well, efficiently, and with a high quality product that you don't overpay for. We will never get back the many hours spent trying to make it work with HD, but lesson learned! read more

Not sure why HD gets such lousy reviews? As a homeowner, HD is a regular stop on my home improvement calendar. They get "5 stars" for having SO MUCH "stuff!" They lose a star because they sell some junk and getting help is highly inconsistent (sometimes very helpful, sometimes totally nonexistent or completely useless.) However, prices are generally pretty good. I have to give myself a star for self checkout - I'm excellent at it (eyeroll.) So, when it comes down to giving the big orange box a rating, I have to give them a reasonable score as my life is better with them nearby, than without. And in my previous neighborhood, I have a Lowe's equidistant but found the big orange better time and time again ( better products, value, selection but not cleaner stores). This is a good Home Depot store. There are always staff members who are willing to help answer questions/requests. Upon my initial visit I was helped by a nice woman (didn't get catch her name sadly) with glasses despite being busy working on something else nearby. She set me up with the perfect paint color that I needed to match the walls of a room I've been working on. I was able to find what I was looking for with relative ease on a follow-up visit thanks to Gio and Miguel super helpful guys and even went above and beyond for me with a certain Baseboard Molding request. I bought and had delivered a blue vanity from Home Depot along with other things for a diy bathroom remodel, the vanity in the box was the wrong one, it wasn't even blue, Home Depot ask me to text pics and I did, this was over 2 weeks ago. First they had to look at their cameras, now it's an issue with the vendor. Ok you sort that out with the vendor and deliver the right vanity, is the correct thing to do. Only reason I didn't Escalade it before was because I had a kid after the first call, so this has been on the back burner. 2 stars is because they have a chance to make it right read more

The world is turning to AI and I can see why. This worker has been chilling in and out his car and sometimes just blocking parking spots by the carts. We bought the Weber Spirit E-315 Natural Gas Grill online from the local Hawthorne store. The store assembled it and delivered to us. We did have some initial hiccups but Lidia from Hawthorne store was very helpful in quickly solving it. We are very happy with our grill. I went to Home Depot on 11/15/25 looking to purchase some closet doors after shopping at Lowes. My closet doors needed to be custom made. The HD store offered custom doors through CW Doors, but the store had no visual examples of the different kinds of woods and glass. The salesperson suggested that my wife and I travel to the Gardena store as they had visual samples, which we did. However, the Gardena store would not write our preferences. We were told we had to go through the Hawthorne store to order our doors. We went back the next day and placed our custom order. I received a call from RF Installations who said our doors would be installed on 12/24 between 11am and 1pm. As it was Christmas Eve, I needed to pickup a few things in addition, we had family coming over at 4pm. I waited until 1:30 pm. The installer was a no show. I called Home Depot who told me that the installer needed to reschedule...because it was raining? I never received a call from the installer, RF Installations, or the installer. It was very disappointing and a complete waste of my time. read more

You guys are the best there among the other staff I've encountered, will get their names later to add in here lol. I shop here often because I like to do my own diy projects for my huge many many many bedrooms castle home of over 20k sq feet. Outdoors and indoors. What can you say, I'm a perfectionist. People ask me why don't I get help to paint blah blah but I feel more rewarding for me when I do it myself. Like cutting and coloring my own hair since I was a kid lol. Hairstylists never pleased me. Especially when I have the natural talent to do so. Anyway, the team here have been good so far. And oh, young security dude is honest and nice too. Too bad Home Depot doesn't give any discounts to their staff when they shop here. As rich as Home Depot is. Btw, Pro cashier line closes at 6pm. I was wondering around looking for the key department. I found it but was a little confused if it was self help or not. I asked a lovely lady in an orange vest. She was high up on a ladder and without hesitation she climb down that ladder to help me. She was wonderful. Her name is Claudia and Home Depot scored big hiring her. We had a delightful conversation and she made my keys and soon I was on my way. Also, their ladies bathroom was clean and fresh. I got an extended warranty protection plan on my new refrigerator and 1 1/2 years later I had a problem. Bottom line, the Lowe's Protection plan gave me the run around and I ended up having to pay for the repairs myself and they wouldn't even send me evidence of why they denied giving me service. So, my advice to customers is don't buy an appliance from Lowe's and don't get an extended protection plan because they don't want to honor it and they will give you the run around. I will remain a fan of Home Depot. read more

Thank you for helping people before a major storm. Just came by to pick up 10 bags of sand for the hurricane. I was referred by the MDR location that was sold out. I pre purchased the sand bags online. I arrived at the store and the guy at customer service was incredibly helpful and walked me over to the place to pick up the sand. There was a male employee waiting by the sand area ready to help me. He told me where to bring my car. I brought my car around, him and a few other great employee's put the sand bags in my car. There is a hurricane coming and we live in a flood zone. Every employee went above and beyond to help during a stressful situation. I watched these employee's help at least 4 other customer purchase and load sand bags. Thank you!! It's always the case, isn't it? You find the one thing you want and either they no longer have it, or they don't know where it is. I'm in the process of redoing a bathroom. I found the perfect tile and the perfect mosaic to go with it. I went to one Home Depot and was bummed to learn the mosaic tile is no longer in production. I tried to find another one I liked, but no cigar. So, I figure I'd go to another Home Depot in the slight chance that they may have something different on their displays. Sure enough, they did! I was excited! It didn't take long to find help. Sadly, he said, "We only have one box of that, but unfortunately, we have no idea where it is." He referred me to another Home Depot (which is quite a drive) who was carrying it. I asked if he could make a call to hold them for me. Sadlier, he said they operate on a first come first serve basis. A little annoyed because this could have been a sale! Ugh... But he tried - he did go somewhere out back to look with the slight chance he might find it somewhere. No cigar. Well. At least he tried (which is the reason for the three stars.) We've come to this Home Depot monthly for parts, supplies and kiddy craft days. Staff is friendly but sometimes harder to find in a store this big. This time, we visited to rent a truck. Rates are low and hourly, so great for small errands like buying a tree and getting it home. And that is exactly what we did. We rented, picked up a tree and got it home. Then returned the truck before proceeding to plant the tree. Bring your own dolly or rent one. Bring your own rope and blankets to save a penny. read more
