Absolute worst rental experience we've ever had was with this particular Alamo. Specifically the manager Tori was the rudest most unprofessional person I've ever worded with. She left dozens of ppl stranded with no rentals after giving away all the reversed rentals. Causing dozens of people to be stranded at the New York airport at 1am. Her entire staff was disrespectful to every single customer. She made my children cry and left elderly handicapped people and small children stranded in an airport and told them she didn't care. Spoke down to them and belittled them. I hope she is never allowed to treat people this way again and something is done about her and her employees callus attitude. after reading more reviews it seems this is an on going issue and Alamo has allowed this disgusting behavior from their employees. Stop all the extra fees and renting people a car but when they get to the rental station up sale them and charge more money. Rental cars in New York is a scam! Horrible customer service. Had a car confirmed and then they said it wasn't available when I arrived but they conveniently had another available for just $100 more. They have a 1 rating for a reason. Employees could care less here.

Johnny the branch manager is amazing - he was friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and quick. He answered all of my questions and made some recommendations about the return of the car that saved me tons of time (not arriving at a certain time when the courthouse next door is having rush hour). He helped me with car selection, got me a great vehicle, and set my mind at ease regarding the insurance coverage which I had questions about. Return was also a breeze, thanks to Johnny's advice about timing and the prompt and professional attention from the lovely Z. Z was friendly and the return process was simple - she met me at the car, worked quickly and calmly, and I didn't even have to step into the office. National has a great team at this location and I plan to always use this location going forward.

My family and I landed at FLL and worked with Latisha and another gentleman who were also great with our change to our initial reservation. I made a mistake in not reading all of the fine print (they did it all right - I did not see something - it was my error) and upon returning the car both Paul and Rico resolved and handled it with such kindness, understanding and total professionalism. They didn't just fix my issue when I was in a panic - they made me feel valued at National car rental throughout the entire return process. It's rare to find customer service this good, and it made a huge difference in my travel day. Because of Paul and Rico, I'll always choose National when I rent a car. SO easy & highly recommend this location!!!!!

The employees treat inconvenienced customers like an interruption to their day. Dropoff is its own special chaos: strict hours, and an entrance off a public road that seems deliberately designed to punish you for returning the car.     I had a very disappointing experience with Hertz. I had a confirmed reservation and even received…read morea text confirmation prior to arriving. However, when I showed up to pick up the vehicle, I was told that my reservation had been canceled. Because I needed the car for an important trip to upstate New York, I had no choice but to rent a vehicle as a walk-up customer. As a result, I was charged a higher walk-up rate. To make matters worse, the rental was only issued for one day instead of the original reservation period, which forced me to extend the rental for another day at an even higher cost. This felt very much like a bait-and-switch situation. A confirmed reservation should mean the car is available when you arrive, not that you are forced to pay more because the reservation was suddenly canceled. I contacted customer service afterward and received what appeared to be an AI-generated response that did not address the issue at all. The response even contained random question marks in the text that clearly did not belong there, which made it appear automated and poorly reviewed. My complaint was dismissed and no effort was made to resolve the additional charges. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Based on how this situation was handled, I will not be renting from Hertz again.
