I did not take that because of parking and too big for my needs. I was told to come back so I went to have a quick breakfast. Long story short the car never came back and the staff worked hard to get me a vehicle. After a great deal of calling to customers with cars and other Enterprises one was found. They ordered a car service to the other location and I was on my way. ***To corporate allowing customers to extend there rental with other renters behind that reservation is irresponsible? If your staff was unable to get me a car what would have been the recourse? Maybe each location needs other stand by cars other then a large out of date mini van. Also the car I got at the other location was dirty on the inside like it hadn't been clean thoroughly. The staff at the Emprie blvd location is the only reason I am giving a 4star for the staff!

What I got was a long wait at another Brooklyn branch, no explanation, and eventually being sent over to this location instead. By the time I actually had keys in hand I was well behind schedule for a trip I could not push. The car they put me in was a subcompact, not what I reserved, and it was in rough shape. Nobody at any point seemed particularly concerned about any of it. No apology, no attempt to make it right, no acknowledgment that sending a customer to a second location and downgrading them is a problem. It got worse after I returned the car, and I am currently disputing a damage charge with them that I do not believe is mine. I will leave it at that. If you rent here, build in extra time and take photos of the car before you drive off.

Johnny the branch manager is amazing - he was friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and quick. He answered all of my questions and made some recommendations about the return of the car that saved me tons of time (not arriving at a certain time when the courthouse next door is having rush hour). He helped me with car selection, got me a great vehicle, and set my mind at ease regarding the insurance coverage which I had questions about. Return was also a breeze, thanks to Johnny's advice about timing and the prompt and professional attention from the lovely Z. Z was friendly and the return process was simple - she met me at the car, worked quickly and calmly, and I didn't even have to step into the office. I will set aside the whole "getting to the car rental place from the terminal" for later in this review. I arrived at 2 pm on a weekday, but it was before the holiday weekend. There was traffic on the way to the rental car location, so it took a while. I was the only person on the shuttle. I thought the shuttle looked rather new, very clean. He helped me with my bags. He dropped me right at Emerald Aisle. I was met by Marilyn. She asked me my car preference and then showed me the car with the lowest mileage, helped me with my bags to the car, got the keys for me and gave me some general info about checking out. She could not have been nicer and she did ask me to put in a good word for her at corporate, which I did. Not only was my car "low mileage" but it was brand new. It has 301 miles on it and part of the sticker was still stuck to the back window. Getting to the rental car lot. I arrived in Terminal B so I had to take the Intra Terminal Shuttle to Terminal A to get the shuttle to the National lot. For me, it would have been more convenient to take an Uber there and I will do that next time. I had 2 pieces of luggage so walking there was not an option. It wasn't the worst thing to have to take 2 shuttles, but honestly not very practical. And it did set me back into the beginning of rush out to get out of the city to Suffolk County.

I had an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable experience at this Enterprise location that…read moreultimately caused me to cancel my reservation. I booked a rental online a week in advance with a 6:00 PM pickup time. On February 4 at 10:07 AM, I received a call from the location confirming my pickup. No additional requirements or concerns were mentioned. On the day of pickup, Ben called me at 5:35 PM and told me I needed to arrive earlier because the location closes at 6:00 PM, despite the system allowing customers to book 6:00 PM pickups. I explained that I was in class until 5:50 PM and that the location is a short walk away. I arrived on time and was then told by Ben that I needed two utility bills (cable, internet, or utilities) showing my address. This requirement was never mentioned during booking or during the confirmation call. We were standing in a parking garage, and I was expected to immediately produce documents I had never been told to bring. While I attempted to access my account online, Ben repeatedly rushed me and asked whether I would have it "in the next five minutes." When I pointed out that no one had informed me of this requirement earlier, Ben stated--in a dismissive and mocking tone--that they had called and left a voicemail. This was inaccurate. I answered the call and spoke with someone directly. There was no voicemail. There were two other employees present during this interaction who remained silent while this took place. While I was there, I overheard them joking that they were only cleaning and vacuuming because "Michael" was coming the next day, which they discussed openly. That comment did not inspire confidence in how the location is normally run. Ben then told me they were closing and that I would need to return in the morning. I explained that I needed to be in Long Island by 10:00 AM. He said the location opens at 8:30 AM and that he would schedule me for then. After leaving, I received a confirmation for 7:30 AM, which directly contradicted what I had just been told. An employee referenced Michael in a way that indicated he is in charge. I would genuinely appreciate a call from him, as this experience reflects serious breakdowns in communication, customer service, and overall operations that should be addressed with real customer feedback. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable proceeding and cancelled the reservation entirely. I will be taking my business to AVIS down the block next time. As long as Ben is working at this location, I would not recommend renting here unless you are comfortable being spoken to dismissively and dealing with last-minute, undisclosed requirements.

The smart thing to do is to purchase extra liability insurance, so if there's an accident, you're not going to the poor house. If you happen to hit someone and they sue you, you could be out a serious chunk of change. Well Silvercar has a place on the website to sign up for this, but the last two times I've tried to use their service, the day before I go to pick up the car I get a message that they are in the middle of a Policy transition, and the insurance isn't available. Well now, if I rent the car, it's like I'm driving without insurance, so I have to cancel, but wait, it's only the day before, and all the ZipCars are rented, and well, time to cancel the trip. Thanks Silvercar, for ruining my weekend. If you NEED a car for something, and you don't want to go broke in the case of an accident, go somewhere else. Their cars are damn nice, though, so it's a shame.

I must agree with the other reviews that they seem inefficient at getting people checked in and out the door quickly. Also, the cars are located in the 4 level dungeon that is dark and hard to perform my "walk around" of the vehicle, before I sign my life away that there are no dings or dents. Returning is a bummer for the same reason, and one time the staff was friend but 3 out of the 4 transactions I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling or even a receipt. It's just not what I'm used to. Maybe I need to go with the app, because I did receive some texts regarding my return, so that was good. Also, the cars I get, are usually, giant 4 door big-un's. I don't mind a smaller car, that's easier to park and handle and better on gas. In general some improvement could be made.

I successfully entered my driver's license and payment details through the online pre-check in order to save time but still had to visit the counter. I waited 45 minutes to see a staff member. There were three counters but only one staff member. She was doing her best but there were 11 people in line. 2. The Jeep I drove got me where I needed to go but the interior was not well cleaned, the gas tank was only half full, and the cruise control didn't work. 3. The drop-off was jaw-droppingly awful. When I pulled up an Avis staff member said I couldn't return my car because they had no place to put it in the garage! He advised me to take it to LaGuardia airport or bring it back the next day (without an additional charge). I found a spot on the street to park and went into the office to ask to speak to a manager. He said there was no manager on site. I said I was willing to bring the car back the next day but I wanted a written statement that the cost of a garage spot would be refunded. This produced an impasse. The staff member finally texted and spoke with a manager, who said I should drop it off there anyway, which I finally did. This process took well over an hour. The staff members I dealt with were not unpleasant and tried, but never in my long life have I had such a terrible experience renting a car.

The agent at the counter told us that using my card to pay for a rental that was reserved under someone else's name was "fraud." When we politely explained that it was not fraud and simply appeared to be a matter of company policy, she continued to insist that it was fraud. I think it's important for staff to know and use the correct terminology when explaining company policies to customers. Calling something "fraud" when it is actually a rental/payment policy can unnecessarily make customers feel as though they are doing something wrong. That said, we were able to change the reservation into my name, and everything worked out. We received a minivan that was perfect for our trip, and we had no issues with the vehicle itself. The drop-off in PT ST Lucie Florida was also very easy. The lady at the counter was pleasant and made the process quick and hassle-free. Overall, the rental itself went well. No self-service either. Just a long line of people with reservations, forced to wait to check in (again) at the counter. It took me over 45 minutes just to check in, despite having reserved a car weeks in advance. Moreover, their hours on the window don't match the hours listed in the app, which means that booking online is unnecessarily restrictive (and apparently useless, since this location doesn't honor online reservations). The next gas car was set to arrive in "maybe an hour, maybe more." We had already wasted so much time that we took the EV and subsequently spent so much time and money taking cabs everywhere while the car charged. Such a waste. And every person at Hertz says "there's nothing they can do" because "we signed for the car." No mention of the fact that we had PAID EXTRA to RESERVE a GAS CAR at 10:00 AM. I truly hope all upper management for Hertz has an awful, terrible life due to the mistakes of others while everyone sweetly apologies and says "there's nothing we can do."
