I rented the car for two days, it was pretty easy and smooth on a Friday morning. The location is very convenient, right by the F train and easy access to the Brooklyn Bridge. It was one of the cheaper gas options with unlimited miles, so the agent did his usual to upsell. They were not pushy though, which was good. Everyone was nice, professional, and chill. The car, 2026 Hyundai Elantra, was good and pretty new, only 8k miles on it, great for a weekend escape. I had my own ezpass, so we will see if they double charge me or not. When I called 24/7 roadside assistance I got an automated number that sent a link that did not work. Drivo has great rates, and my drop off was super easy. Let's starts with rates. Rates are way less than anyone in the city. The catch is that if you have to get insurance and want full coverage, it's $70 a day. I went with full coverage since I only have non-driver auto insurance. You can have them check to see if your insurance provides coverage by scanning a QR code that is in the office. I had an 8 am pickup on a Friday. There was a couple ahead of me. I had to wait for almost an hour for the car. To the guy's credit, he was by himself and had one guy getting cars. I did dealers choice and got a hundai Elantra. Fine to drive and great gas mileage. Car was clean and had no issues. I took a video of the car just in case. No problems on the trip. Got back to Brooklyn before they closed on Sunday so I didn't have to drop off Monday morning. All the hidden fees were disheartening. If you travel to certain states there is a $15 fee for everyday you're in said state. There also wasn't a gas cap on the vehicle and the steering wheel shook really bad at just 68 mph. They also charge $39 a day for insurance which is insane to me for a rental.
