UPDATED REVIEW TAKING AWAY TWO STARS I came in three days ago THREE I got two accent nails with the sugar polish it already started to wear off and peel and I came in to get it taken off (the polish, not the nail) just to get the same regular shellac polish I had on the rest of my nails, one being a nail bar every guest should be offered a drink I was not. Two, I was charged to change the polish $8 when I already paid extra last time for the polish three days ago that already peeled off and messed up. And a little back story, I have not done a lot I work from home and have a two year old son just me putting his little shoes on him peeled the top layer of the sugar nail polish off which shouldn't be ok for nail polish to so easily peel off. Anyways, it's been a nice experience but I won't be returning. I drove 20 minutes passed up many salons to specifically come here to get my nail they did fixed only to be charged even though it's only been three days. I said nothing because it's Christmas Eve and I have other things to do rather then try to fight a petty $8 I just will not return and HIGHLY suggest they improve on customer service in the matter. I tried this place out yesterday for the first time & I was happy overall with my service. Nancy was my nail tech & she was super sweet making conversation with me and making sure I was satisfied with everything. There was a bit of a wait to actually get started (I expect that on a Saturday) but I had the time so it didn't bother me much. Plus Nancy was attentive the whole time so it didn't feel like I was forgotten about. I will be coming back!
I absolutely LOVE this nail shop . They're quick and super professional ! I've gotten my nails done by most of the ladies there, but NANCY SHES amazing !!! The vibes Are great they play great music! Complimentary drinks are a plus ! I've found my new nail place ! The 25/30 minute drive is worth it
The work was awful with lumps, bubbles and curves please see photos attached before giving this salon your money. Refills are worth the same as full $45 sets even when I was just there a week and a half ago with the man who sits to the front, far left.and don't you dare have a voice to speak up if its lumpy cause they will get annoyed and clearly make it visible. Kim is very arrogant and condescending. When I asked a question her response was to says "awww you don't understand. " (While making a puppy dog face in her attempt to call you dumb). Price change depending on how Kim's feeling that day. They have her look at your nails and she tells them how much to charge you when the work is completed and you have no choice at that point.
Horrible, unprofessional, and not pleased ! Honestly I leave reviews to let people know how much I love certain places but, this has been thus far the WORST !! I came in originally with them and it's not the first time I come and have a bad experience. I give places second chances but no longer will I be a client here ! I asked for a white tip and polish on my toes. The white tip was put on and I was asked to let them dry, and then I proceeded to my toes. I was taking a picture and AIR BUBBLES were on every nail . I asked Nancy kindly to go over my nails and she said Kim would fix it. Kim with attitude seemed a bit upset because it came out that I had to polish over my original nails (no filing down or correction). Literally put polish over the nail. THATS IT, I was so horrified. I have a huge event, and this is by far a bad experience. Not only that she became irate in front of clients VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Kim said If I left a review I was not allowed to go back. Which I've left a previous review for this place which was good but not anymore. Honey for this service I wouldn't bat a lash !
Taylor nail & bar is a great place! Since I have started going there my nails have gotten a little firmer and have not been breaking as much. I think I've tried most ladies there and I can say they are all pretty good. My mom who is SUPER picky really enjoyed her pedicure there which isn't common. My only issue with this nail bar is that it isn't the cleanest; BUT I think the quality of the service and the staff compensate for it!
I was looking for a great place near my job that does the nail dip. I wanted something convenient as I would be going during my lunch break. I also wanted quality. This place did not disappoint. I don't get my nails done frequently but my experience here has made we want to become a regular customer. My nails are beautiful. The customer service was great and they took care of me quickly. I will be back to see Nancy.
I have been coming to this nail salon for a year now and I started coming here after moving since it was close to my home. Time and time again I keep telling myself it will get better or more consistent and it has not. After a year no one ever recognizes me when I walk in. I spend a minimum of 100.00 every. Single time. And the service or recognition of customers does not. The quality is never consistent. And asking for anything outside of the ordinary makes me so uncomfortable I'd rather walk out because of how they make me feel. Today I spent 93.00 on this. And it will be my last. I asked for nude nails. These photos were taken in 12 min after my appointment. As you can see the quality of work. Price wise they are decent. Comparable to other shops in the area and wait times are often not long. I do not have any other positives about this salon.
I recently moved to Houston and was looking for a nail salon, I discovered Taylor Nail & Bar through yelp. I was satisfied with my experience (Shellac Mani & Regular Pedi). I was serviced immediately, and my technician, Nancy, did both my hands and feet! They offered me a drink and we're overall really nice. It was a very relaxing experience.

Kim was very rude and said this is what represents the salons work, and at one point slammed 5 one dollar bills in front of me because I asked why a refill was 42 dollars, my friend I brought with me was charged 42 as well for a NEW SET, and the lady next to me said she was being charged $30 for her refill. Very prejudice and make up prices off the top of their head. Disgusting behavior. Very unprofessional. And not worth the $117 I paid for a $50 pedicure and 42 for a REEFILL!!! That adds up to $92 not $117!!! she said they charged extra because of the length but the length was already there it was a refill. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars I would. The short lady with blonde hair ( I assume she's the owner or manager that sits to the front right) VERY RUDE ! 1. As I'm on my phone trying to do some work and listen to voice audios she tells me that my phone is to loud because other people are trying to relax. Mind you there was no one in there besides myself and one other lady. The only reason I had to turn my volume up is because SHE was screaming loudly over me to other workers speaking in there language and laughing. So I told her she was to loud 2. The service on my hand began to fill rushed and when I addressed what needed to be corrected she seemed to to get upset I was critiquing her work on MY HAND. 3. I went in for a REFILL ! I originally paid $35 for the initial full set. When I was checking out she charged me $35 again & I asked why. He response was "oh it must be your first time here for refill huh" it is so again make it make sense why I'm being charged the same price for both full set and refill ! 4.NATS ... in the bathroom & just flying in your face during service ! WILL NOT be back WOULD NOT recommend .. even just as a cheap pop in quick set read more

Actually really happy with this place. I went based on other reviews and they really where a pleasant experience. I can even appreciate them telling walk ins and over the phone appointment requests that they're simply too busy if they are. Iv been to many places that take your appointment, get you there, and then make you wait forever cause they over booked and are still taking walk ins! I'll definitely be back. read more

Ok, an update - my nails are lifting and peeling and look worse than if I had just left them alone. My nails are lifting so badly that they are getting caught in my hair when I brush it. After what, a week? 10 days? What a waste, I'll save the money and do a better job myself. read more

Second time coming and it'll be my last. One week later on a dip powder set. This is now the 4th nail that has chipped in the SAME spot as the others. Nails techs: stop rushing and do two coats of gel and let it sit under the UV light longer! read more

Ok.. I'll start by saying this.. it's really pretty on the inside.. and they do have a cute little drink set up that serves alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Nancy did my nails, i came at 11am and my nails got started at 11:43am.. so i didn't like that . But Nancy was nice and did a nice job. My daughter got her nails done by Kim, she was on her phone a lot but she was okay as well. I think I'll try them again. But i would say maybe make an appointment . I spent $75 on our nails as well .. $40 on my daughters dip (no acrylic) and $34 on mine(with acrylics) read more

The employees are very sweet and talkative, they make you feel very comfortable. The first time, a young man did my nails, but i didn't get his name. I went back after 3 weeks for a change in color and fill (I got Ombré). They are a bit unorganized with scheduling, but I prefer walk in. There is one nail tech who's work isn't the best, but I never catch her name. Prices are good, and overall it's a good nail shop. read more

UPDATED TO ONE STAR~ After the OWNER responded in such a rude manner to my original review. Wrote lies about giving me a second drink I asked for when I did not. It was offered to me by Nancy. I did not receive an extra $2 I do not know what they're talking about. And everyone who walked in to their nail salon received their grand opening discount. Check out the picture comment I have uploaded with their response to a paying customer. "12 years of business" means nothing to a paying customer when you lack customer service !! So let me start by saying that some gfs and I decided to come in to Taylor's Nail & Bar for the first time to get our nails and pedis done. To our surprise it was new and pretty nice inside/ clean. I loved all the variations of color powders and shellac they had! The nail shop is located in a shady area of town, specially if the sun is down ... several people strolling around the parking lot but we were safe. I will say be careful leaving late from here , by the time we left (closing time) the alarm next door went off as if someone may have tried to get into the business next door, not sure but we ran to our cars and left. We didn't see any security in the area. Our nail date was going fine until one of the technicians cut me while doing my nails. She tried to hide it and did not let me take a look nor acknowledge it even though it was bleeding. I told her she cut me and I needed rubbing alcohol or something to make sure I wasn't going to get an infection ... finally she didn't give me anything until asking again. When I asked her and showed her that I had several cuts in the same finger she said "that happens when you get your nails done" ok at this point I'm like wait WHAT! No Apology what so ever.. at this point I was ready to leave this place. I asked for a discount or something because of the deep cut they said it couldn't be done which ok I understand that but the least they can do is say sorry! So unprofessional especially for it being a new nail shop trying to get customers. Although my technician did not apologize, Nancy did. I appreciate Nancy's attention and care bringing me Neosporin to close up the cut. I will not be coming back, I love the color options they hait's a shame the customer service some technicians lack. read more

Not sure why they have a low rating. I let the nail tech know exactly what I wanted and was impressed with the results. However, I wouldn't recommend dip on artificial nails, because they barely lasted a week and a half. Friendly staff. read more

Tried this new place today. Saturday and I was able to get in, my regular place usually turns me away on a weekend if I dare try to walk in. This place is clean, friendly staff, they have soooo many colors to choose from. This place beats all the places around spring branch. Nancy is awesome! She is patient and funny. I loved the Thai tea! You have to give this place a try!! read more
