I asked about warranty services since my key was no longer operable and was under the impression I would be getting services. Unfortunately, I never received a final confirmation of services which I requested. The communication was extremely unprofessional and lacked customer service.

Its never happened to me before so I didnt know much about the charges except I know it should be between $50-$80 dollars. My car is fairly easy to get into since the door was already damaged from previous times my mom had locked the keys in the car (its a handme down car, im poor alright). All they used was the air pockets and the metal wire to fish my keys out. It took them 10 mins apprx. They charged $228!!!! How ridiculous! I asked them why it was that much and they said not to worry because if I had car insurance even without road side assistance they would reimburse me. He even said to call them if there was any issues. I tried talking them down from the price but they said it was a company charge and they couldnt do anything about it. Being desperate and alone in a random area I just agreed because I had been waiting too long for someone to get there. It took them 40 mins to reach me since I made the call. So i head over to my insurance company and they said they cant cover the charge since I dont have road side assistance. So I call these guys but the lady who answer says the supervisor isn't in and that he would call me in 30 mins. I never received a call. I know this was my mistake for trusting and accepting a charge that was so obviously a scam, but whats a scared girl gonna do? I needed help and I genuinely thought they were honest guys. I learned my lesson but please do NOT call them ever for any service. They're scammers and don't operate with honor.

On our 2018 Honda CRV, we got a dashboard message that said the battery in the key fob needed…read morereplacement. I did so and everything was fine. Then we got the message again so we changed the battery in the other fob. And that's where our problems began. After installation of the new battery, the red led light didn't blink. I went out to the car and it didn't do anything when I pressed the fob buttons. Put the old battery back in. No bueno. Our both batteries on the meter. New = 3.4 volts. Old = 2.6 volts. Neither turned on the red light. San Leandro Honda have a condescending look when we asked if the fob was covered by the 30,000 mile power train warranty. My thought? If the fob doesn't work, the power train is useless because you can't start the engine. Anyway, they said that they could try to do some diagnostics but the easiest fix would be to order a new fob and have it programmed. 24-hours and $300+. Oakland Honda said essentially the same thing. $368 for a new key, never mind that we bought the car there. The reason for the cost was the effort in programming the electronics. Please. I used to be an IT guy. You do to have to write a brand new script. You need to do some minor programming and flash the info into the fob. I did some online research and found The Key Shop. I sent a quick email to Rick and he responded that he could take a look at it. I called Rick. He texted me where I could find him in 35 minutes and we drove down. He went right to work, systematically checking everything that there was to check. He noticed that the battery was very difficult to remove. He asked if I was sure that I had used the correct battery. I showed him the battery in our other fob and he noticed that two of the plastic prongs appeared to be pressed down and could be causing the battery not to make good contact. Once he gently unbent the prongs, he reseated the battery and all was good. Total charge for his time and effort? $10. Way better than we could have hoped for. Rick, you THE MAN!

So I am the building owner and just wanted everyone to know my experience. So my tenant called Dawn…read more& the Lock for a door repair. Dawn & the Lock subcontracted to TML Mobile lock repair. The technician from TML told the tenant that there should be locks on both sides of the door and it was going to be an extra charge due to the two additional locks required. The technician was just about done when the tenant called me to explain the extra cost and the work that was being performed. I told the tenant that ANY reputable lock company knows it is against the low to have a door on a business that is locked from the inside at a main fire exit. When she confronted the technician he said it was safer and not against the law. I explained to her that is is 100% against the fire code and the technician ultimately admitted he was aware but said it was "Much safer" for the business. He then said he would change it back to the way it was. He even tried to bill the tenant for having to change the illegal locks. I called Dawn & the Lock and was unable to get a hold of a manager. The customer was charged $643 to replace two locks. Update: Ori, the owner of Dawn & the Lock, called me the following evening and was very apologetic after reading my review. He explained that he does not normally use subcontractors and wanted to make things right. He appeared sincerely customer service based and wanted to make sure I was happy with the work that was performed by his subcontractor. I was very impressed how he resolved the incident.

AWESOME Service!! My…read moreLiberty safe manual tumbler dial combo stopped working after 14 years and I couldn't open it. I called Liberty Safe and asked what to do. They told me a locksmith with the right tools can drill under the dial, line up the tumblers, open the safe and epoxy the hole up afterward. Not looking forward to the epoxied hole, I called Sunshine Lock & Safe to see if they could open the safe and fix the dial combo problem. Avi the owner said no problem and we set up an appointment. The following day he called to let me know he was on his way and he arrived according to plan. He was able to get into the safe without drilling and upon checking the dial combo parts inside he showed me that one of the tumbler disks was actually falling apart. He offered me the option of replacing the dial lock with an electronic lock which I readily accepted. Avi has a LOT of experience, has done many high end jobs with commercial-level safes and knows his trade extremely well. I was an aerospace engineer for over 40 years and I had a lot of questions while watching him work. He's very personable, doesn't mind talking about his trade and has a vast amount of experience which he didn't mind sharing. Very interesting man and clearly an expert at his trade! Spending just over $300 for Avi's new electronic lock, his effort and quick training on the new lock operation was money WELL spent, when considering spending just over $2000 to replace the old safe including removal & disposal.
