They play good music, good seasoned chicken, the sauces are tasty. Service is slow bc only one person working but they deliver good quality and quantity.

Wow. Just wow. I got a chicken wrap and it was majestic. I had to close my eyes to savor the taste but my wrap dissapeared in a span of minutes. I tried the rice also and it was holy. And the music and overall ambiance of the place left me happy and satisfied. The service people were nice also. One of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever been to.

I absolutely love this place and I'm disappointed in myself for not writing a review any sooner! This is my go-to spot every time I don't have food in the office, I've never gotten tired of my order: 1/2 chicken dark with fries/yucca and plantains. Their green sauce is out of this world!! Wish I had the recipes for everything! Layla is extremely welcoming and she develops a relationship with anyone who walks through the door, I absolutely love her hospitality. The ambiance is vibrant and alive! I love how the name is Cabaña 28, since Peru's Independence Day is on July 28th. I will never stop going here, do yourself a favor and check it out

Solid newish Peruvian casual dining near the movie theater in Cypress Creek shopping center 4 star ambience: the space has gone through a couple of different concept restaurants with the same layout, but new paint and brighter colors make a big difference. The only complaint was it was a bit loud with the staff talking at maximum volume. 4 star service: service was good. You order at the counter but then food comes to your table. It seemed mostly geared toward takeout. 4 star food: chicken sandwich was good but expensive. One suggestion is definitely by translate the overhead menu. I'm reasonably bilingual, but even the most fluent americano won't know all the food specific menu words.

We had lunch here the other day. It's located between a Greek restaurant and a Five Guys in the Cypress Creek Station on the west side of North Andrews Avenue. The location has been several different places over the years. This is a Peruvian casual restaurant now. They have a couple reasonable lunch specials -- although the menu at first appears a bit pricey. Just take the time to look it over. I had their quarter chicken lunch special ($11.95) which included a quarter chicken, white rice, beans, sweet plantains, and a soda. I paid fifty cents extra to have my meal upgraded to "white meat". Everything was perfectly cooked including the breast/wing combo through and through. The only thing I would have liked better would have been a crispier skin on the outside of the chicken. The chicken itself was fairly plain without much seasoning. The rice was very good, the black beans okay, and the plantains sweetly delicious. The sauces served with the meal are important as they give the dishes a bit of pizzazz and more flavor. There were four separate ones including ketchup, cilantro, and two different spicier ones (one yellow, one orange). They also gave us small container of pico de gallo. I used the cilantro the most along with a dash of the yellow pepper sauce to give a touch of heat. My husband got a beef bowl lunch special for his meal. In one bowl was layered white rice, black beans, and corn. On top were chunks of beef that had been grilled and lightly seasoned. He liberally added hot sauces (his choice) and said it was very good, although a lot of carbs. He enjoyed a maracuya (passion fruit) juice drink along with his lunch. I'm glad we came to try out this new neighborhood place.

I was very underwhelmed with the food. The ceviche was too sour and the corn was stale. Don't know when it was roasted, the oil went off completely. The only reason I gave 3 stars is that the Chica Morada was good and the staff was very nice. Oh, those sweet treats at the end - a plus for that. I have been to Peru and I'm not comparing the food in Florida anywhere near that authentic but still for a new restaurant, offering this doesn't make a good impression. The ambiance/interior design was a bit weird too. It was a hotch potch of fast food, diner and semi classy. But it didn't add up well. Too bad because after a movie at Regal, this could have been a nice sit down dine in place but unless they put more effort, I would pass. I love Peruvian food and will go again in a few months to give it another chance. But for now, I have my go to Peruvian places in the area.

Ordered delivery from Cabana 28. I had the lomo saltado and a chicha morada. No complaints, really. Next time I will probably visit the establishment.

Great service and amazing options to choose from. Chose the bowl since it had everything I wanted, just added the fries. Inside has meant seating options including booths! Highly suggest if you need something fast and yummy

We came in for lunch at this location that opened in space previously occupied by a couple of other restaurants in this busy strip center. The interior is bright and cheerful, and we were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. A plus for me was that they were featuring Passion Fruit as one of the beverages! As we looked over the menu, we saw a lot of the traditional Peruvian dishes we were familiar with, and they offer Lunch Specials as well. I chose the Beef Bowl which was layered with fluffy white rice, a generous portion of black beans, and corn. On top were chunks of beef that had been grilled and lightly seasoned. They serve hot sauces on the side which help to wake up all of the flavors in the bowl. A satisfying and filling meal for $11.95, not including my Passion Fruit beverage. As we dined, several lunch customers came in and there were some take-out orders being picked up. Nice to have a local Peruvian restaurant near by.

Simply disappointed we had ordered from this place on various occasions and woe we were served old food as it was hard to eat disgusting. We ordered a chicken bowl and Pollo a la Brasa with 2 sides and this was by far the oldest chicken ever even in the bowl the chicken tasted horrible dry burned from the reheat and dry like a carton, as well as the yellow plantain and soggy horrible looking caesar salad. Sad because the service is always friendly and the ambiance is a good vibe, but today there is nothing positive to say about the chicken only how can you serve food like that to paying customers.

Great new Peruvian place! Their speciality is rotisserie chicken, Pollo a la Brasa, but we had a bunch of different things. Ceviche clásico was great, a little spicy. I had the Chaufa Cabana which is a fried rice with beef and chicken. My sons had Salchipapa, hot dog slices and French fries, clean plate club. My old son had the lomo saltado, steak rice and French fries. Large portions and had left over to take home. Got a modelo. Pour your ceviche juice in to make it a leche de Tigre!

It's a nice place to have Peruvian dishes. Their dishes are fresh and taste authentic and their price are moderate. The service is good and they have special lunch every day with lower price. The seating area is nice and clean with nice waitress.

Ate in the car because we couldn't wait.

We started with a crab bisque that paired perfectly with Chardonnay. The only white wine of the evening. Then we were served Gnocchi with Amatriciana sauce & paired with a red blend. So good! That followed with a Tuscan Chicken stuffed with Parmesan, mushrooms & prosciutto. Also with a Red. Very tender & delicious. Finally- for dessert- a Cherry Tiramisu. My friend was charged $6.00 for his glass of pinot grigio. When I asked for a manager to discuss the discrepancy, a very young man came out and when I explained I didn't understand why there was such a difference in price (two more glasses of pinot grigio at dinner later were just $9.00 each) he told me that the issue was my "lack of communication and understanding about happy hour pricing." I mentioned that the bartender never mentioned the fact that I was paying over twice the price for a rose and that it was not on the happy hour menu when I asked for a "house rose". Again he let me know this was my problem of poor communcation. My suggestion is that Anthony's retrain this young man in how to deal with customer issues and not belittle a regular who comes in often for both the happy hour and dinner. I won't be back since there are so many other options in town!

If you're driving a larger truck, be aware that parking is available but pretty tight. Once inside, we were warmly greeted by the host, who was incredibly friendly and escorted us to our table. Our waitress was just as wonderful--attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. There was music playing everyone there was enjoying themselves. Since it was Tuesday, we both ordered the all-you-can-eat fried catfish special for $21.99. They start you off with hush puppies and coleslaw, and when your meal arrives, you get your choice of a side. We both chose the fries. The portions were generous, with plenty of crispy fried catfish on the plate. The fish itself had great flavor, was perfectly crispy, and wasn't over-breaded. The hush puppies were delicious, and the French fries were cooked just right. My husband, who considers himself a bit of a coleslaw connoisseur, really enjoyed the coleslaw. I wasn't as impressed with it, but that's just my personal preference. My biggest disappointment was the tartar sauce. For a restaurant that's been around as long as Catfish Dewey's, I expected a homemade tartar sauce. Instead, it came in a pre-packaged container and tasted overwhelmingly of onion. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. If I were rating everything individually, I'd give the catfish a 7/10, the hush puppies an 8/10, the fries an 8/10, the coleslaw a 5/10, and the tartar sauce a 0/10. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, especially the friendly service and the crispy catfish. While it wasn't the best fried catfish we've had, it was still a good meal. As I always say, don't let my opinion make your decision. Everyone's taste is different, so go try it for yourself and form your own opinion. You might love it!

Sea Mario has been bookmarked on my Yelp for over a year. While trying to make some Valentine's…read moreplans, my husband asked where I wanted to go, and I immediately thought of this restaurant. Even a few weeks in advance, Valentine's Day was already booked, so we made a reservation for Valentine's eve. This is not a restaurant I would come to without a reservation because I saw people get turned away. Located in an unassuming little strip mall, you would never know that there is a sparkling gem of a place tucked in the middle of the shops. Parking can be a little tricky, but we were able to snag a spot in front. Inside, this quaint restaurant has such welcoming decor in black-and-white with some accent colors. There are lots of little knickknacks and decorations from Italy. When we entered, we were greeted by one of the owners, Nadia. We had a short wait before our table was ready. When seated, Nadia went over all the specials and answered our questions regarding her recommendations on the menu. Her husband, Mario, also assists with serving. He also greeted us later during our dinner to check in about our meal. Now let's get to the heart of this review...the food. As someone with Sicilian heritage, I have been fortunate to visit Italy and have had some pretty amazing fresh seafood and pasta dishes there. And of course, I've had wonderful Italian restaurant experiences here as well. But I have to say, Sea Mario tops the list. Before I discuss the food menu, I just want to point out they have an extensive wine list. The menu offers several selections whether one is vegetarian, wants steak/lamb instead of pasta, or has come here for the dishes 'di mare.' We started off with an appetizer. Arancini rice balls with mushrooms and cheese. The Arancini balls flanked a bowl of stracciatella cheese. This was a special appetizer not on the regular menu. It was fantastic and dare I say luxurious? (Please put in on the regular menu!) For our main courses, my husband had the Fettuccini Florida Golden Crab & Scallops. It was Caribbean Italian fusion inspired with a flavorful, but not (hot) spicy, pasta sauce. I opted for the Maine Lobster Catalana. I have had my share of seafood pasta dishes throughout my life, but when this entree was placed in front of me, the aroma was so fragrant that I knew I was in for something special. The pasta sauce was made with high-quality tomatoes and caramelized onions (which I think really aided this sauce and made it different). The dish had clams and, of course, succulent lobster tail and the claw meat. The lovely aroma was not a tease because the dish tasted excellent. If having freshly made pasta with lobster sounds appealing to you, this is the dish to get. (They make their own pasta and the seafood is very fresh.) We ended our meal by sharing a fresh cannoli. The shell was not hard like a typical cannoli, rather it had the consistency of a doughnut. The ricotta filling with pistachio was absolutely out of this world. The plate was beautifully decorated with a berry drizzle in the shape of a seahorse. As you can tell, I'm pretty smitten with Sea Mario. I definitely want to return to this romantic restaurant for our anniversary later this year. Thank you for the incredible service and dishes.
